Want to play Star Wars Battle Pod on your Arcade1Up FULL SCREEN!? This video goes over a simple resolution fix to change your monitor from the native 1280x960 to 1920x1080 resolution. Could it be that simple though? Is there a better way?
I’ve spent the past couple of weeks exploring the pros and cons of changing the resolution setting and what impact it has on other games on my playlist. Check out the full video for more details and download links below. NOTE – I filmed this late at night and brain farted for a good portion of the video and repeatedly said “920x1080” instead of “1920x1080”. Apologies in advance!
TLDR:
Simple Fix – Change your monitor resolution to 1920x1080 and leave it permanently
Advanced Fix – Install AutoHotKey and JoyToKey and run an AHK script to change your resolution settings with the press of a button!

Xbox emulation via Xemu is still in its infancy so this is more of a proof of concept than an actual recommended playable experience, however it shows that it might be possible to game nicely using this on a M1 Mac. Recorded on the M1 Pro with 8 CPU cores, 10 GPU cores and 16 GB RAM.

So, I like to periodically check in how the arcade Chihiro Beta version of Outrun 2 is coming along in CxbxReloaded (I'm using the most recent version here - CI-8fcc2f5) the original Xbox emulator that can also run a small handful of Chihiro arcade games. I don't think anything's really changed here compared to my last OR2 Chihiro upload roughly a year ago, although it looks like the graphical benefits you got from adding the DXVK dll files to the folder with the EXE in are now part of the standalone build.
