The sudden appearance of the unidentified "Steel Bug" inflicts devastating damage on humanity.
A few years after this threat, later called "Galalhorn," the survival of the human race is at stake...
The remaining human race establishes the Steel Insects Against Steel Insects (S.I.V.A.) organization, and creates the "Steel Suit" and other new products.
Through research and development of new weapons such as steel suits,the people put their hope in the hounds.

This game is a third person shooter about destroying "Steel Bug"s by cooperative play with your friends or AI and it has various modes:

BEGINNER
Briefing missions make it fun for new hounds to play!
Beginners don't need to worry!

INDIVIDUAL HOUND
You can choose your favorite hound from a total of 14!
There is no performance difference between hounds.

CUSTOMIZE
Suit Customize allows you to enhance your suit and weapons!
Hound Customize lets you dress up your hound!

"STE" or "Steel Energy" must be purchased to play Steel Chronicle. It functions as an in game timer which limits play based on the amount of STE remaining for a given player.
