I have a NAS drive which is mapped as "T" drive in explorer, the NAS had a backup of the game on it and I mistakenly hit the game.exe when viewing the folder and believe it or not the game started immediately with no errors. I copied the exact files over from my NAS directly over to my C: drive and it still gives me a sound error every time, I have never encountered anything like this before and struggle to think of a reason why.

 

TLDR - The game will run when the game files are stored on my NAS but refuses to run when the same files are copied over to C: Drive

I am using jap version without jconfig & game loader.
Is there a way to map the S - Coin button to dinput on my cabinet or must use the keyboard ?

Is there anyway to way to use a joystick?  Only mouse moves the cursor.  I actually bought those Aliens Extermination guns and would love to use that, but hey act as a joystick.  If so how would i move player 2?

Hello you start the game directly or with tje loader? Normaly with the loader its possible to config the pad for 2 players.move must be disable in the option

Avec ce jeux j'ai un probleme quand je lance une commande BAT qui lance a la fois demulshooter et le jeux...ca marche pas...alors que ca marche pour le 1 et tous les autres jeux d'ailleurs....si je lance l'un apres l'autre Ă  la main ca marche

This is how I make my scripts in Autoit, maybe it's the delay between starting the demulshooter and then starting the game, I leave a delay of 2 seconds between commands.

$exe_joy = ShellExecute("hmuseum2.exe", "", "C:\demulshooter")
Sleep(2000)
$exe_joy = ShellExecute("game.exe", "", "C:\arcade\nesica\Haunted2")

I'm having this same issue where both guns control player 1.  I went to the suggested link and found the "change weapon" fix.  Can anyone confirm that this fixes the issue?  I'm not in a hurry to add this feature to change the weapon, but if I have to I will.  thanks.

    With the -hardffl option, you'll play by default with the rifle pistol and pressing the change weapon button will make you use the machinegun

  4. Run the game and play, no need for calibration.

What does the Weapon Fix actually "fix"? I'm weary of running random exes unless it's been well vetted and has a purpose.

 

And yeah, still curious about the diffs between the 2 dumps as well.

There is no "weapon fix", the tool is a no-crosshair patcher

As a bonus it would tell you the version of the binary you're using (if it is one of the known versions from the time of release) and the demulshooter command to run it (hmuseum2 or fearland)

 

And there is no difference between the 2 dumps, except the fact that they are not the same binary and they need different demulshooter hack....

FFL (Global VR) was the first one to be released

Does the global VR game work natively with the fixed potentiometer (analog) guns?

So I had the same problem and I made an auto hot key script and instead of a batch file:

 

Run, D:\DEMULshooter\DemulShooter.exe -target=ttx -rom=hmuseum2
Run, E:\Emulation\ROMS\Teknoparrot\HauntedMuseum2\game.exe
Run, E:\Emulation\ROMS\Teknoparrot\HauntedMuseum2\nomousy.exe /hide

Next I made the "game.exe" file run compatibility windows XP SP3 in properties & run as administrator. Finally I compiled the AHK script into an .exe fie and I made that file run as administrator. It finally works now after hours of trying to get this stupid game up for my nieces on my arcade cabinet!! You can check by starting the game in player 2 first (blue crosshairs) then have player 1 join after (red crosshairs).

 

NOW....come someone help me disable the crosshairs on this game!?! It runs flawlessly after hours of working on it so I don't want to fuck with it unless someone knows exactly how to patch the game, and I'm using the Haunted Mansion 2 version (not Fright Fear Land). Cheers!

I've already answered on WWS topic, and HOTDR is unlikely to appear on DemulShooter (and someone esle patched it for lightguns already, but not for Wiimotes compatibility)

Putting an Alt-F4 command does not work. By not exiting cleanly the script does not finish and errors out in the system tray.
