I am stating to suspect it may not be windows as 20H2 on my new build does the same... the game will show in task manager for 2 seconds then just quit. I am running a new Ryzen7 5700G (series 5000) APU. The latest 'stable' driver is at Adrenalin 21.10.2. This may be the issue

Ok so I didn't intend to make this a windows tech thread. But it is clear the new Ryzen 5000 series APU's that use Radeon Graphics do NOT work with TTX direct exe loading.

(Ryzen 7 5700G and Ryzen 5 5600G)

Hopefully updated drivers in the future will fix this. If anyone knows of a fix please share.

Yeah I have 90% of those games and they all work fine under win 10pro 21h2 have you looked for any of amd patches

I will try to see what I can find. I upgraded from Ryzen3 3200G which worked just fine.. 
Ryzen 5000 series APU's do not work with TTX games. I think this should be stated on the first page even though ryzen users are of the smaller majority. Not sure if there is a way to submit a report to AMD as these TTX games are older dumped exe's.

Not familiar with AMD but all the shader fixed are on first page of tecnoparrot thread scroll down till you see the icons under each icon you will find the shader fixes

Shader fixes are for teknoparrot like you mentioned. Teknoparrot seems to work ok.

Alot of the ttx games and any arcade rips... launch directly with the games executable. Configuring controls will be done with Jconfig, TTX config, or Pad config. 

For example I have BlazBlue: Central Fiction that launches directly from 'game.exe'
Controls are configured via JConfig. For alot of games you can use custom NesicaXLive Unlocker or Ring Loader that will disable network nag screens and such. This unlocker patches the 'game.exe' before starting. 

With the new Ryzen APU's (Ryzen 7 5700G and Ryzen 5600G) I can't get any of these executables to launch. 

I could start going through all of them and find alternate ways to launch but I have spent many hours dialing all these TTX, TeknoParrot, Arcade rips, etc... over 160 titles. Hoping there is a solution.

I knew there was a few but not as many as he mentioned example was contra before it got added to TP you could use it and keyboard for controls or use it with steam and map controls via there mapper

Yes also for some games are already pre-mapped with keyboard controls which you can map via joy2key or xpadder. Like Aliens Extermination or Wacky Races... 

I think idMacX and JVSemu emulation is broken with these newer Ryzen APU's Or I must be missing some dll's or something. I have all the C++ and DirecX installed etc...

What gpu do you have? The myority of pc based arcades boards use an nvida GPU, so if you have a INTEL/AMD gpu maybe the games may not run perfect.

Sorry to bring back this, but I'm having the same error. I'm trying running the export (2p) version on a Nvidia RTX2070 and a Intel (didn't remember the model) as well, but in both cases I'm having the black background problem. This doesn't happen with the normal versions, so I tried with an old patch applied to the normal version, but the error comes again 😧

 

So, for short:

- It happens with the export version

- Doesn´t happen with the normal version

- Happens with the "2p patched" normal version

 

All 3 of them tested with different loaders and emulators, also in Nvidia and Intel cards.

Does anyone struggled with this before? Any solution?

Hi guys, having a look at a couple of HDDs with Arcade images, I found one called 'artax-ttx3-mega-multi-v4.img' 

 

I don't understand much about TTX3 or that image as such as I don't currently have a spare HDD to burn it and see what happens. It's size is ~1TB, do you know if it works (should work) on a standard laptop or PC (without having the TTX3 hardware)?

 

Or if not straight away, if there are some changes that one could locally do to have it working on a generic laptop?

Does anyone know where I can get the Artax-ttx3-mega-multi-v4 .r files? Please don't say arcade punks as I've tried downloading fully twice "via nzb" and the artax.par0506.rar always shows incomplete. It's the only one I need as everything else came out fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, apologies if already asked. Is there any tutorial on how to dump X3 games, I am getting a few in. Firstly, would love to make backups of all of them, but one in particular hasn't had release is the Theatrhythm latest version. 1 - to make a backup and 2 - to make a translation patch, and 3 - have the game run unencrypted/locked on native hardware (x3 arcade in cabinet)

 

I know how to unlock bios, I know how to make a copy of HDD after mobo unlocks the drive after boot up, but I also heard the game files are encrypted on a seperate partition?

 

Been googling but no clear answer. Thank you.

the games are encrypted on a seperate partition and i think in order to unlock them you need access to the network. I think they decrypt on the fly. or something similar.

I did. His version doesn:t work either. I remember yours has something called reshade or something similar to that. Can you show us what:s special about yours? My spec is AMD R5-2600 and RTX 3060TI.
