You can, but it's a slightly different default if i remember for Aliens Armageddon.

Mine did on AMD until it occured to me that the resolution of 1360x768 wasn't supported by my monitor..

You have two options, to change the res with a hex editor to one supported by your monitor, or use a program called Cru (Custom Resolution Utility) to add it in.

Both work, you do get some white flashes ingame on some AMD's though... I get it on my desktop, but my arcade running Nvidia is perfect.

Which did you use? A lot of them wont boot so might connect to smaller monitior

Cru (Custom Resolution Utility) is what you want to save you switching monitors.. Just add the res with that utility..

I did, and it worked... Or do the above hex edit.

To change the resolution:

Use a Hex editor and edit the elf file "game" (defualt of 1360x768):
   at offset 0x3C832:50 05 for the X-res values
   at offset 0x3C83C:00 03 for the Y-res values

Common resolutions:

 

1920x1080:
 X-Res: 3C832:80 07
 Y-Res: 3C83C:38 04

 

2560x1440:
 X-Res: 3C832:00 0A
 Y-Res: 3C83C:A0 05

 

3840x2160:
 X-Res: 3C832:00 0F
 Y-Res: 3C83C:70 08

Yeah, i completely forgot about this thread.. 🤣

I edited my elf files within a day of the game being released on Teknoparrot, i just couldn't remember off the top of my head.

These are great thankyou. One question, when using 1920x1080 for terminator the only issue I see is that when you get hit the red hit texture that normally shows around the whole edge of the screen is smaller than the screen. I wonder if someone could locate this texture  so we could make a 1080 version, maybe it's just a few .pngs?

Hi

Can anyone advise how to fix the game Terminator solvation?
The game worked great and after a couple of starts it doesn't work anymore.
I tried a brand new folder and it still doesn't work (doesn't start)

Aliens armageddon and other ElfLoader2 games work..

 

 

Edit:

I already solved it, I deleted the terminator.xml profile and re-addet the game and it works fine

Also... many people are willing to be helpful... but please don't be "that guy" and right off the bat ask where do I get this ROM, how do I run that game. Take some time and read through some of the forum posts especially those under TUTO and HELP. Help yourself a little by educating yourself. Not to mention there are a TON of Youtube videos on how to setup specific gams with controls and light-guns.  And before you ask about it, you'll need to use a VPN and "connect" from outside of the US to make the most out ViRuS-MaN's site.

Hello, If you used the patch for the Nirin game and the game Terminator Solvation and other ElfLoader2 games do not work anymore, they have a problem with the graphics. This is caused by the patch for the Nirin game (Nirin flicker fix).
If you want to fix it, delete the folder V teknoparrot(ElfLdr2) and download it again, it helped me.
If you want to play Nirin with the patch again, you have to repeat the process.

I just got Aliens Armageddon working on Teknoparrot but the game is all in Spanish. I looked through the "service menu" in the game but I couldn't find any settings for English. I might of missed it, can anyone help?

 

Also is there a fix for the game crashing in showcase mode when the title screen appears before you add credits and hit start?

to change the language from spanish to english just access the test menu, but first you need to configure the crosshairs of player 2, as it is stuck in the center of the screen and you cannot access the other options to change the language.

I'm also having problems with the game crashing after the intro video, if I find a solution I'll let you know.

From what I hear, both games will stay on Patreon unfortunately.
