I know its very old this but, I`m having issues with the sound.
no sound from the game.

 

Any ideas?

Couldn’t get HDMI audio to work on any laptops with intel graphics. HDMI audio worked fine on AMD iGPU desktops.

It seems the spicetools link from the lengthy post and the pdf are not working. Anybody have an alternate link?

 

Edit: Oh, found it in another thread. Game works well but like another person mentioned, the hand automatically goes to the top and you can't control it to select a song. Basically have to use a keyboard for song selection and have to do it quick before the game attempts to drag your hand to the select at the top. Also some of the songs do not have a preview so you don't know how it sounds until you actually start playing it

After going through the Chinese forum, found this as well. The Google drive seems to be the updated version? Attached PDF was the instructions posted on the forum.

I will try and get this to work sometime this afternoon and will let you know. Hopefully this PDF might help for now for you

EDIT: Might have some troubles downloading it due to a bug with Google zipping it. You will end up with a lot of missing files in the final ZIP files. I have tried backing up with Back up and Sync but same issue occurs. For ease, use the older one linked by gonnawreckit 

 

Got the one gonnawreckit to work flawlessly with a low spec PC running at 1920x1080

Tried with a Ryzen 3 3200G (iGPU) with single channel memory. 1x8GB. Got as low as ~40 fps in songs with lots of particle effects. Average 55 fps.
 

I imagine using dual channel ram like 2x4GB or more would give you 60 fps. Lots of online benchmarks show nearly doubled fps that way with ryzen APUs.
 

I was testing fps on the sample gameplay that plays when idle too long in the menu. 
 

EDIT: Ryzen 3 5300G with 2x4GB ram is rock solid 60 fps regardless of the particle effects happening. GPU at 60% load. Guess the dual channel doubled the performance. Probably any Ryzen APU can handle it with 2 sticks of ram.

It definitely won’t work with the one that looks like the Xbox One one. Kinect is not backwards compatible.
 

The one that looks like the 360 one would probably work though, since it probably is just a different plug.

Game runs on a surface pro 7 (i5 -16GB), which I didn't expect.

Game-sound somehow doesn't want to go through HDMI cable, but that's something I'll figure out later some day.

 

So for people with a surface pro, you're good

If you are playing on Windows 11 using AMD Ryzen CPUs, make sure you install the performance patches so you don't get random frame drops. I've found that this game is particularly sensitive to the bug.

 

One patch is in Windows update, the other is a chipset driver.

This is an arcade game originally running on Windows 7 embedded. And it works with any newer versions of Windows, thankfully, including 11.

PS!!

In the guide here where it says to place the kinect sensor 2 meters up form the ground, do it. also angle it at -20°.

It helps with tracking so so much since it matches the height of where the sensor is on the actual arcade machines^^

And with the issue ive read of getting the game to scale above 720p

one of my tvs in fullscreen mode automatically scales the game up to 1080 so it fits perfectly. just some old sony:p

Yea I know, but it's running on a PC on my end ultimately and was wondering if my PC had any other cool Kinect applications.

Also, I get frame drops if I don't disable wifi. No idea why.

Help! The game runs correctly at 100% ❤️ That’s amazing, but every time y connect with hdmi my pc to a tv doesn’t hear in tv, only in pc, anybody have the same problem? I hope somebody can help me with that :( I tried everything what I know (control panel, put the tv on prefer devices, and things like that) only with the game doesn’t hear, but every other application yes

Does your hand cursor automatically go to the top during song select? Some people have had that issue including me and no idea how to fix it

I had the same problem with my laptop with intel integrated graphics.

A help I already did everything in the tutorial with the drivers installed and the kinect connected and the game still doesn't start, help please Another thing is that the focus of the kinect is blinking or it must be fixed and with the kinect studio the kinect does not detect me

I too am having this problem, but my kinect does work and detect me but does also have blinking light.

I don't run Kinect Studio. Maybe Kinect Studio is interfering in your guys case.

Sounds like you did things out of order, when installing your Kinect.  Just an FYI, If your like me and used the kinect for other software like 3D modeling, You will still need to go through the driver install of the kinect since this game will not connect to the kinect without the modified registries.  If that's the case, you should just be able to re-run the reg edits provided by the PDF.

 

The PDF provided by Alita99 is the one I am talking about.  I quoted him above so its easy to find.

 

Thank you everyone that has contributed to this project.  I so wish I had the understanding yall have to get these games running.  Absolutely amazing work.
