Je viens de penser qu'il serait forcément possible d'émuler un jour les jeux Sega Chihiro. D'après ce que j'ai compris la différence entre ces 2 systèmes est seulement la mémoire RAM plus importante sur Sega Chihiro. En augmentant celle de la Xbox de 64MB à 128MB et en mettant un dump d'un jeu Chihiro ça fonctionne.

Du coup ce n'est pas exclu de voir ça en émulation avec cet émulateur... un jour lointain...

Outrun 2 CHIHIRO démarre, mais plante à la sélection du véhicule

Opération Ghost ne fonctionne pas

Virtua Cop 3 démarre également mais l'image apparaît par alternance avant de planter 

Crazy Taxi 3 High Roller plante au démarrage

Merci pour l’info en espérant que cela soit jouable un jour!

Par contre pour Virtua Cop 3 je me doute que le viseur ne sera pas contrôlable à la manette à moins que la version créée pour Xbox règle ce soucis.

 

Et OutRun 2 qui est sorti sur Xbox tourne sur l’émulateur?

La version native XBOX fonctionne mieux mais plante également après la sélection de la musique, mais le code erreur étant le même en version CHIHIRO et XBOX, lorsque l'un tournera l'autre tournera également

Pour Virtua Cop 3 il sera possible d'émuler le gun sur le pad

 

Et à mon avis vu la vitesse à laquelle les builds de l'émulateur sortent actuellement l'émulation CHIHIRO est toute proche,du moins pour OUTRUN2, reste à voir comment vont se comporter les autres titres CHIHIRO

Est-ce que tu pourrais me dire comment on transforme les images en .bin en fichiers utilisables dans cxbx ?

Je ne vois pas de .xbe dans le contenu du .bin.

Merci pour ta réponse mais les images des jeux Chihiro que j'ai sont des fichiers .bin et non des fichiers iso. Je n'ai pas vu passer les dumps de jeux Chihiro en iso. Ca ce trouve quelque part ?

J'ai pris le jeu virtua cop 3 sur theisozone.com

Il n'est pas en iso ni en bin. Il y a pas mal de fichiers. C'est ce dossier qui est utilisé sur la console XBOX pour lancer le jeu. Il s'agit de la version toute prête en fait.

Par contre si quelqu'un sait où trouver un tuto ça ne serait pas du luxe car je ne comprends rien à l'utilisation de l'émulateur... c'est incompréhensible sans aide.

 

EDIT : apparemment tout se fait en ligne de commande. Faut être un pure geek en fait... :D

 

Pour ceux qui veulent occuper leurs prochaines vacances:

Download MCPX_1.0.bin, 4627.bin and HardDrive Image.
Keep all in the same folder, either the game iso you want to run.

Use this command to play a game.iso
qemu-system-xbox -cpu pentium3 -machine xbox,bootrom=mcpx_1.0.bin -m 64 -drive file=xbox_harddisk.qcow2,index=0,media=disk,locked=on -drive index=1,media=cdrom,file=game.iso -bios 4627.bin -usb -device usb-hub,bus=usb-bus.0,port=3 -device usb-xbox-gamepad,bus=usb-bus.0,port=3.2

rename your iso to game.iso to play
If you want to play the dashboard, just delete file=game.iso after cdrom,(let the comma)

The best bios is version 4627 for better compatibility with more games. Only works with bios 3944 till 4627. The MCPX must have a hash md5 of: D49C52A4102F6DF7BCF8D0617AC475ED
You can use http://onlinemd5.com/ to check if it matches, otherwise it won't boot.

To edit the harddrive image, use this command:
qemu-img convert -f qcow2 -O raw xbox_harddisk.qcow2 new_xbox.raw
Then open the raw file with Xplorer360_20-120gb.exe, edit Only parition 3(E:\). Parition 2 is (C:\) don't recommend mess with it, dashboard files.
Delete the old xbox_harddisk.qcow2 file and run this command to convert back to qcow2
qemu-img convert -O qcow2 new_xbox.raw xbox_harddisk.qcow2

Concernant la transformation des isos aux formats bin, il semble d'après les informations que j'ai pu trouver sur le net, qu'il soit préférable de partir d'un format CHD Mame et d'utiliser un pack prêt à l'emploi pour rendre le CHD utilisable sur une XBOX modifiée ou sur l'émulateur :

Testé de mon côté.

Quelques problèmes graphiques mais le jeu tourne à 60fps. Le plus gros défault vient du son avec des bruitages qui restent actifs et qui se superposent au fur et à mesure. Au bout d'un moment ça fait un gros bouilli de sons mais bon ça reste une sacrée avancée je trouve et ça fait plaisir de pouvoir le tester.

Existe-t-il un moyen de configurer la souris pour l'utiliser pour viser, tirer et recharger? Le joystick reste convenable mais à la souris ça serait plus sympa surtout si on veut utiliser le aim track.

I'd previously found a couple of links to them ages ago, but didn't bother downloading as working Chihiro emulation seemed like it would take years (which it has). Thanks for the links (and also to bigjim who messaged them to me). Same question as july2779 though, the OR2 Beta RAR file gives me a Bin file I can't do anything with. I've tried converting it into an ISO using a program called WinBin2Iso and then extracting the files with Qwix, but no joy, Qwix doesn't like the ISO. Tried playing around with the BIN in Imgburn and Virtual clone drive to see if I can get at the files within with no success.There seems to be lots of info on Google about how to get an xbe file from an Xbox ISO, but I'm coming up blank on what to do with BIN files. Can anyone recommend anything?

Thanks Dude! It's weird I'd discovered that program yesterday after some Googling, but it kept saying something like 'no Chihiro files here' when I tried using it on the bin. Tried it again today and it worked. Anyway, thanks Man! Greatly appreciated.

Bam! Yeah, it's not playable, but it's still pretty awesome seeing the actual Chihiro version of Outrun 2 (well, the beta at any rate) loading up this far on an emulator.

Never thought Virtua Cop 3 would be turned around this fast.

 

 

It's fully playable, the sound glitch which means you get continual background clicking is the most annoying issue in my opinion but I can't imagine that will be that hard to resolve.  Hoping for some more Lightgun games on Cxbx.  This needed DemulShooter to work with the gun.

For Vcop3 i get a white screen for the titlescreen. I can hear the sound fx fine but blank white screen. It loads all the logo screens up until that point,but nothing on screen. I use win10 64bit amd. Does anyone else have this issue? Does cxbx need certain specific settings? Anything here would be a help!

Hi Tk, I'm having this problem too. If you press start button shortly, you can get into menu and play level 3, but level 1 don't show graphics after entering the building, and level 2 fails from the begining.

I think it's a problem with AMD gpus

Hello, i'm looking for all the chihiro dumps and i was only interrested on the latest versions of chihiro games, we don´t need clones or older games, they are all the same. Please release someone!

Virtua Cop 3 works amazing using the xbox360 controller. No bad issues only the sound.
