you can copy the game wherever you want (ie: E:), the important thing is to respect the paths in the .ini file

I  did some going into the code and found the cooldown of when peas are fired. I will give y'all the assembly csharp at 2:20 pm est

things to note:

after the so called big wave where 99% of all lose, theres another wave featuring another special zombie type and 2 plant food.
if you beat the wave you strangely don't get the jackpot screen so you are stuck shooting those gnomes untill you exit
(modded file will feature: x2 firing speed for all peas and super rapid fire for Gatling pea powerup.)

the problem is always the same...
as soon as you lose a life, black screen and you can't get out of there.
it was said about 2 different dumps, and that with the older version there is no problem...but to date, as if it were the secret of fatima, no one has posted a link with this dump and solve the problem.

put the game in to c:\sega

delete the game.ini file, and rename the game-orig.ini to game.ini

It worked fine, only the keys don't work. Tab, Num1, Num8, U, Y, T, R work in the TEST MENU but not in the game.

do you guys have the shell window focused? I believe the keys only work in the shell window. you have to insert coins or whatever in the shell window, then go back to the game window. then you can shoot. You can run the game as administrator and start the game from the game window, but you still need to put in coins at the shell window. Even set to freeplay i still have to put in coins or start the game from the shell window.

If you use Demulshooter files (see wiki) just press 5 to insert coin

yes it needs realtek drivers enabled and active or it won't start

I tested the game in my work pc i9 GTX3060 w11 and it runs correctly. In my cab pc Ryzen with 1660 super w11 does not work. Both with realtek active. The i9 execute the game under HDMI output, I don't have to switch to realtek or plug anything. In the Ryzen the game doesn't work. I can see shell black window appearing but after it closes. I tried to swap to realtek and same result. The i9 shows shell load and start the game without any action.

This game doesn't like AMD Ryzen I don't know why like Alien Safari. I can't add this game to my cab. I hope TP guys make this works someday

 

The only thing i made is:

-move to my roms folder

-modify pvz\Install.ini and shell\Game.ini with my path

-make a run.ahk inside shell folder file to run with demulshooter:

I have this running with a Ryzen CPU on two different machines (3400g & 5700x) both with Nvidia GPU and both on Win10.  So I don't think Ryzen CPUs are the problem.

after test on my pc i7 gen11th with intel and rtx 3060 ti dans w11 24h2 the game don't launch....black screen windows and return w11....

on my hp omen intel i7 w10 the game works perfectly.....

w11 is the problem for me......this week i test it on my new pc gen11th with w10....

RESOLVED :

my headphones was connecting in USB on motherboard....

I plugged my speakers directly into the sound card integrated into the motherboard and now everything is ok.
I therefore confirm that it is absolutely necessary to connect speakers to the sound card of the motherboard directly without using USB

I tested on my i7-8700 gtx 1070 and it didn't work, but then I tested on my ryzen 5600 gtx 3060 PC and it worked. I think maybe it just requires a beefier pc? Who knows.

Hi, this game works for me and demulshooter also works because I can remove crosshair, but pressing "5" for credits does nothing....also "y" and "t" do nothing: can someone explain to me why? Thanks!

Not sure about demulshooter but you need to use the keys in the shell window

Found that if I press "tab" on keyboard , I can access to test menu and with "1" I can enter the selection but I can't find the key to move up and down among the menu voices
