Gallagher's Gallery Now Working In Hypseus Singe

Hello all, I just wanted to let everyone know that Gallagher's Gallery is now working in Hypseus Singe  in both Windows and for the Raspberry Pi and is set up for both 1 and 2 players. It works so much better than the WinUAE version.

Here's a YouTube video with links in the description for the game files as well as a link to download the required latest version of Hypseus Singe.

And here is a screenshot of how the Hypseus directory should be and how the gallagher.bat needs to be made. I'm using a mouse, so I'm not sure how to setup a lightgun. However, you can go onto the Hypseus Singe Discord Help page with lightgun questions.

After you launch the game, press 1 for single player or 2 for two players and 5 for credits, then 1 for one player and 2 for player two to start.

Hi - great to see this after playing it in WinUAE

 

Trying to install it into my RetroBat system - hoping someone can help.

 

I have all the others in there and loading up fine, but hitting a brick wall with this one

 

All of my laserdisc games are in the same folder I have put Gallagher in - I have tried it with that folder name and also gallagher.daphne

 

"Could not open file: C:RetroBat\roms\uncompressed\daphne\gallagher.zip\singe\gallagher\.gallagherm2v"

 

As it could not open the .zip, I unzipped the contents but no joy.  The screen shows parsing video data, looks ready to load, but then the error

 

EDIT - Just noticed Hypseus Singe version on my RetroBat is 2.11.1 - unsure if this is causing the error?

Downloaded latest RetroBat and same error on loading Gallaghers Gallery. Anyone managed to get it working in there? Tried several ways, renaming files, unzipping then, etc...get so close with the parsing video message....then the crash

 

Will attempt again later after work

Ok - downloaded latest Hypseus via Github - 2.11.4

 

Managed to get it to run via a .bat file - will have a go again via RetroBat and post here if I have success

Managed to get it to work - SUCCESS!

 

Copied below in case anyone else struggled as well:

 

Create a new folder and name it gallagher.daphne and place it in the folder below:

 

In RetroBat/roms/daphne/roms

 

Inside gallagher.daphne there should be 139 files.  This is made up of the 4 files in the original gallagher download:

 

gallagher.dat

gallagher.mpeg

gallagher.ogg

gallagher.txt

 

You also need to extract all of the contents of the gallagher.zip file in here as well

 

The game now runs in RetroBat

 

Phew - now relax lol
