the exvs2 link i do not find

 

- install visual c++ runtime https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/

- install directx https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=35

- download terminal emulation folder and server for the game you wish to play. it has a different file for the xboost and for the exvs2

- extract the folder to the game dump and open the launcher Multi-Launcher_1.4.0.5.exe now run the start game button.

 

i can test the xboost and the xboost will operate with terminal emulation. i do not test the exvs2 because i do not have the dump.

it will operate without the tp

I'm able to get the game to boot (overboost) but the main menu is buggy and when I get into a match it bugs out. Not sure what's wrong. Other variant of exevs2 launcher work fine

Edit 2: Retried it with exevs2, not the overboost version and it works great. If you want to get overboost working I'd use the first link in OP's post and download one of the pdf's from the post. It has a link to overboost compatible version of xboost

I've tried a bunch of things, but nothing really worked out all the way.

It breaks when I try to launch a new MS like Suletta's Aerial Gundam.

Works great.  A note to anyone else reading:  Launch in windowed mode first, and mute the volume on the LM window.  Windows should remember you muted it when you launch it after that.

If you're asking about overboost, you can run both on the same pc with the launcher posted above.  In the dump I have, I had to make a copy of the vsac_27_Release.exe file, and then rename and add "_CLIENT" at the end of one of them & "_LM" after the other one.

Run OB Launcher exe, set controls and launch game from there.

 

Once the game is fully launched for the first time, open the Windows volume mixer and mute the volume on the LM window.  Windows should remember your choice on subsequent launches.

To disable Live monitor sound...
You can also go into the system test menu on the LM,
Go to Sound Test.
Then set the volume to 0.

 

This would be the proper way to do it instead of doing it with the windows volume mixer.

I should rephrase. Is there a way to run both the client and LM while wanting to have your friend connect to your LM? Me and a friend have been trying to connect while one of us is running the client and also the LM and so far we have no luck.

I haven't played enough to notice any bugs or issues, so can't give an honest answer to that either way.

Finely figured how to get it running, thanks guys. the tough part was understanding what network settings to change to get it working. thanks jcstahl1 for the files.

This is like a dream come true after spending so long modding ukwxp for years.

my rx6700xt makes all the beam textures invisible so I bought an rtx4060ti to replace it. will report when it arrives.  also i added the fullscreen=true line to the config file under window option...works great.going to try up the resolution next.

 

I added the Rising freedom DLC to Overboost and it worked flawlessly.

only issue with Overboost is the game cannot load the card.ini ...such a shame, would have loved to customize a bunch of stuff.

Xboost works great with that, as it's fully compatible with card.ini loading. but Overboost has the most up to date roster and movesets...

 

hopefully one day we can get Overboost working with the cards
