2011-works only with original res(4:3)

2013-works also upscaled&stretched(16:9)

correct game ratio is 4:3

16:9 is a stretch

1440x1080

1920x1440

2880x2160

 

this is the correct resolution for the aspect .the aspect adjust does not work without the stretch for this game and the offset is unknown for the aspect and you will need the resolution in the control panel custom for the game to work full screen at the high scale resolution

Not with tp(original exe decrypted)

when custom res marked 2011 still 

works only 800 x 600(4:3)

but 2013 can be upscaled as I wrote

I love contra games, this one is quite good but not the best game in the contra Saga. For me, The best Contra you can play is the SuperNES version, called :

 

Europe : Super Probotector: Alien Rebels

US : CONTRA III The Alien Wars

 

For me this Run'n'gun game far surpasses metal slug, everything is successful in game, as much the design, the ost, as the difficulty, Even All the Bosses were fucking great... it was the great time when KONAMI was a living GOD

 

a real Blast that no 16 bit developers has been able to reproduce on home consoles.Simply a masterpiece !

yes very sad they missed this opportunity to make one of the best if not the best run and gun arcade game of all time that would have made them so mush damn money their heads would spin, but i do see ppl making adaptations of games so fingers crossed someone will tinker with this gem and make a standalone adaptation for this as well that would be so awesome.
