1 - replace hod3pc.exe

2 - replace fs2 folder

3 - enjoy

 

This pack will fix all the bad pixelated skyboxes with arcade quality ones.

It will also fix mountain / dune backgrounds that are attached to various skyboxes.

Will also fix the broken shadows on the industrial stage in the large open area filled with pillars.

Was wondering if anyone had any issues to run this game without the mod? Seems HOTD 3 doesn't like windows 10. I tried to run the exe as admin, tried all OS compatibility modes and all I get is a black screen for a few seconds and crash back to windows.

 

Anything specific the game needs to run? Spend the last 3 trying anything I could think of, but no go, game just doesn't like my pc...

Same here, it crashes after a black screen with that .exe

Merci pour ce mod qui permet de retrouver les sensations originales.

Par contre, le jeu est toujours en 4/3 quelque soit la résolution et je n'arrive pas à mettre les bezels. Savez-vous comment faire ? Merci d'avance.

Hi! I have just changed to win 10 22H2 and I  can't get hotd3 to work. Actually, the game itsef won't launch, with or without this mod

It worked for me in earlier win10 versions, but now it crashes at launch. No error message.

I have read it might be related to SECDRV.sys, but I can't get to work some workarounds I found.

Anyone had this problem?

In fact, something similar happens to me, but with Windows 11. Apparently with the new versions of Windows it generates problems but I don't know the exact reason why. I tried to run it in compatibility mode with XP, 7 and 8 but nothing happens.

I already resolved my hotd3 crashing problem. Actually I had the same problem some time ago but I did not remember: 

it crashes if detects more than 2 joysticks. And also, if you create vjoy joysticks, you must enable force feedback effects.

That's great, it's a pity that my problem isn't that.

 

In my case, the launcher simply doesn't show the window when I run it.

 

both the mod and original game launchers do not appear when running them.

This mod is great, but it has a few regrets, such as no Japanese subtitles, the "WOW Entertainment" logo not appearing along with the "Sega" logo in the opening, the vibration sound when Boss 1 appears and the sound of the ground being destroyed are missing, some of the sound effects of dragging the wire mesh when a FOOL is defeated are missing, and the reload animation is different from the arcade version.😔

i have the same md5 checksum of the sega windowsg ame version buuuuuuut game doesn't start,

seems a compatibility issue iwth windows 10. how can i fix it?

Works with Windows 10 Home 22H2 
Just run the launcher..works with mouse...
Haven't tried anything else.just a bootup with mouse...

Please! Please reproduce the reload animation of the arcade version, the sound and animation filter when BOSS1 destroys the ground, and the animation filter when the last boss is defeated and is talking! I would also like Japanese subtitles.

Tried several on Google and the game wouldn't launch, found another one and the direct .exe launches (it was a no install) but argon's arcade mod won't launch with it. 😞

I've now found two versions that work directly but with argon's mod = will not start.

I think I might have figured out why it works for some and not others. I was installing it to external hard drive which I do hundreds of other games but also a 2nd internal hdd that I had. Now I install to C Drive and it works and argon's mod works.

This is old post but I'm trying to stretch it to fullscreen but I can't figure out how to install Re-shade border.fx and when I do stretch in DgVoodoo it does not make it fullscreen. How do I make it fullscreen while still being able to aim properly or is it impossible?

I finally got it fullscreen graphics look good but it plays slow. I googled it and turned off antialising and I installed latest directx 9.0 but it's still slow. I may just have to settle for House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return on Wii/Dolphin too many issues.

It's not in gofile anymore.　And even if I use ver.7.0, the screen remains blank even in full screen on Windows 11, and I can't do anything but press the Windows key to sign out or sign in. What should I do?

I was able to play Hod3 with the files I had backed up in my previous Windows, but I won't use HD4K6.0.ver because the screen remains white and doesn't work. I would like a version of the scene where the SEGA and WOW logos display the sky in the opening, and I would like the reload motion to be the same as the arcade version, like a GIF. I would also like the motion blur and audio of the ground being destroyed added to the scene where BOSS 1's "Death" pops out of the ground, the sound of Fool dragging the wire mesh when you defeat the boss "Fool" in the EFI stage, and other things, I would like the motion blur from the arcade version to be restored. Also, if you use Fix, the game will work without the arcade mod, but it won't accept the keyboard or mouse. I think editing with "dgVoodoo" is required for this.
