still it takes a lot of work .. jvs emulation and the atapi / ide management issue will not be easy to solve in a short time, but many are joining the work started by Jean-Philip, so we hope to become a beautiful and active community asap

Definitely a performance struggle there. Wonder what sort of specs you need to run this at full speed? PCSX2 would totally nail this!

The problem is in the emulator itself,it's still in early stages,Tekken 4 ps2 or arcade struggles with Play!

With PCSX2 it would be flawless.

Hi,

Fantastic progress, I didn't even expect these games to ever be emulated. Fingers crossed for JVS and Lightgun emulation.

I know that the JVS and control elements do not work yet.

Can someone explain how to create a launcher (elf) and use a memory card (security) with Emulator (Play)?

I can create a CD from CHD but I can't create Elf?

Well thank you

Does anyone know how to create an arcadedef file for an individual game?
I already have the dongle files..

since last build the automatic insertion of .arcadedefs has been introduced with the installation of the program, but they can still be downloaded from here every time they are updated :

https://github.com/jpd002/Play-/tree/namco_system_2x6/arcadedefs

.arcadedefs are simple text files in which you can edit the name of the dongle, that one of the .chd and finally enter the exact name of the boot loader (which can be identified by means of a hexeditor in the dongle / rom)

you need arcadedefs files for booting games.

Looking into this but we’re would I find the emulator?

other games are not dump yet.

The other games are definitely dumped. The Mame romset is almost complete. Nothing major is missing except the Taikono Tatsujin games. Here is the list of all the games:

Hi,

The emulator can be downloaded here: The current version is 18.10.22

https://purei.org/downloads.php

Chd and Dongle Key can be downloaded here:

https://mega.nz/#F!B0Rg1aZA!a-rG0ncKrmnXzKbJuyWVnw

chrome-extension://bigefpfhnfcobdlfbedofhhaibnlghod/mega/secure.html#folder/R0BgyQpC#x0dduZpWcn1oTMyvrjdhIw

It also contains a CMD program that will convert your CHD to CD or DVD.
These are not my games, I found them on the net

The dongle key already contains Mame roms: E.g. (rrvac.zip) 8 mb file is a dongle..

It doesn't work for us yet, I'm doing something wrong, either setting the components, so I can't give you more advice yet:

I must have set the wrong path to the correct folders, etc.. So I haven't been able to start it yet..

I have already tested all Roms CHD dongles.
sys256 games will not boot yet!
Some sys246 games have black screen. I think time to time it will be updated and fixed by Play!'s Dev.
I also tested JVS JAMMA I/O board unfortunately it is not working with Play. We should support jpd002 as much as possible to improve Play! .

can you share working chd dongle of Ridge Racer V Arcade Battle? thnx

that one is for Pcsx2 not for Play! 2x6 emulator .. you must compile yourself or download the right version from GitHub 2x6 fork action/build release

This is fantastic, after so many years of waiting, the dongle (memory card) is already emulated and JVS is already emulated (partially yet)

Thank you for the info
Great job

does it work on real ps2 hardware?

No, as the dongle tech is different from the PlayStation 2 memory cards and stuff. Since I do own the original arcade hardware myself, the hardware has differences like different BIOS and possibly a different SYSCON. Also they system has more RAM than a standard PS2.

if only there was a way to load home brew to the 2X6, that would be hella cool!

This namco 2x6 version of the emulator, not the original one for ps2

Tekken 4 is missing one of the kick buttons. Can't access test mode yet(?) Ridge Racer V Arcade Battle doesn't have JVS implemented yet. Many games you saw on my list don't actually work and booting them just goes to a black screen. Fate Unlimited Codes CAN boot but it requires an HDD and while it'll get into the boot process it has two elfs for loading the game, and the HDD support is kind of hacky atm according to jpd. System 256 games do not currently boot according to jpd although he has shown MotoGP going into attract.

from the page you uploaded

its work under process just like chihiro system and system256

Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask a question regarding RRV. I actually own the real hardware/game but could never get it to boot past motor error 20. Now seeing it boot on the emulator makes me very happy and I want to know if anything was patched to make it work. This could definitely help out owners with the real hardware and fix broken systems :)1447B04B-EA45-491A-AF3E-2880BBE874D5.jpeg.2c5e6e1fcc8641e4345da717253d0af0.jpeg

i'm new to this emulator so i'm wondering how do i use the game files to get them to run in the emulator?

Hi,

You have to proceed as already advised by spindersoft
1. install Emulator Play version (2X6)
2.Arcadedef files should appear automatically after installing the Emulator, there is no need to insert them.
3. We have the correct Chd and roms (they already contain a dongle)
For example (bldyr3b and bldyr3b.zip) in the (Arcaderoms) folder.
4. Then start the emulator and press (Add Games), then (All files) and mark any ones, e.g. (bldyr3b.arcadedef).
Game icons will appear automatically.
5. Set the buttons on the gamepad

I still only have Blody Roar 3 and it is playable.
Tekken 4 also works and maybe more games, I just don't have those games yet.

Can someone please share a working Chd Tekken 4?

Fantastic progress, some games (combat) are already playable.

If it is possible to emulate analog inputs, racing games would also start to work, maybe even Lightgun games if the namco 2X6 system  used
Digital potentiometers like Naomi or Chihiro..
