Hi,

The latest lineup of Play! Namco System 2x6

Analog inputs were added, but they don't work for me in games.
Maybe someone will come up with how they work..

Tekken 4, Tekken 5.1 and Tekken Dark Resurrection still don't have a fourth button, no right leg

Hello,

 

I like this emulator and all its possibilities!! Thank you very much for the effort and time dedicated to the emulation of Namco System 246 / 256 and I would like to know if anyone has a Rocketlaunch module for this Play emulator.

 

In the Rocketlauncher forum I put a post to see if any emulator module can be made and thus be able to integrate it into my Hyperspin with Rocketlauncher and be able to make the most of it.

 

I don't know if this question corresponds to this section of the forum, but I didn't know where to ask it hehehehehe... I'm sorry.

A thousand thanks for everything.

 

PS: Could you make a portable version of this emulator or is there a way to put the games somewhere other than:

My idea is relatively naive, I saw a branch about PCSX2 arcade before, I thought it was ok, but I carefully observed the internal hardware, it is not pure PS2 hardware

One of my dreams came true this year, which was playing F-Zero AX (the real arcade version) and Virtua Striker 4 Ver.2006.


Now I think only need Tekken 5 and Ridge Racer V, Arcade versions obviously. For you to have an idea, it was only recently that PCSX2 dev team, managed to fix the graphical bugs in the Console version. But i want to play the Arcade version and seems that Play! have bad performance on Arcade games even on an 13900k CPU.

No, but play! The emulator is more high-definition than pcsx2, and it will take some time. I have compared Tekken 4 in the Namco arcade system 246 and found that the picture quality is the best.

I also find PCSX2's image quality questionable, but unfortunately for now it's the best we have in terms of performance to emulate Console.

Yes, at present, PCSX2 image quality and running speed are very perfect, play! The emulator only runs Tekken 4, the game quality is better than pcsx2, that's all, not all performance is good, play! Simulators are still in their infancy and far from perfect.

Cobra The Arcade playable on this video! No source yet of which version of Play this is, but interesting! Hope we all get the important update we need soon or a tutorial on how to add the controls.

 

Still has some speed issues, but the Card RW is working and looks like you can use a mouse too!

Check Play! github page, all the downloads are there, under the actions tab. Always go there to get latest builds. Click Actions then click Windows. You can grab main, 256 and 256 lightgun build there.

 

 

You will need a free github account to download, they are compiled builds. You don't need to compile them, every update has a compiled build there.

Hi to all. If you want to check the new mouse/lightgun support you need to compile the namco_system_256_gun branch

 

This branch detects the mouse as lightgun. You need to map your trigger/left mouse button to DPAD-Left and the action button/right mouse button to triangle (at least in Cobra Arcade)

You don't need to compile it. Compiled binaries for all versions are available on the Github page. Look back 2 posts, info there.

Vampire Night has Reverse AXES(X,Y).

One question, because I don't know if it's sometheing that only happens to me... If I use Vulkan as GS Handler the Force Bilinear Filtering is not applied but using OpenGL the Bilinear Filtering works and the image looks smoother... It's currently normal?
