Hello everyone. I know this post is almost archived, but I would like to know if anyone knows how to modify the offset for SN2. When I launch the game, the arrows are very out of phase 😞 These arrive earlier and the timing is not correct. Thanks

Try setting sound options to lowest delay, and also using cross platform audio with wasapi, to lowest latency

Hello! I have already done this but nothing. All the same.... Thank you very much. I thought that this thread did not give importance.

Download the .pnach file and put it in your "cheats" folder.

Now here's the hard part. Notice the instructions on how to change the offset. It says:

"patchExtended=1,EE,489674,short,0000,0008 // Adjust the 2nd to last value to change audio offset (signed value, range from -32768 (0x8000) to 32767 (0x7fff)). CHANGE THE 0000, NOT THE 0008!"

You need to change the "0000" to a certain hexadecimal value. Unfortunately, I can't describe this properly since hexadecimals aren't my forte. This website might help a little.

https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/hex-to-decimal.html

My laptop is offsync with any DDR Emulator. My .pnach file has the "0000" value as "ffed"

Yup, you got it. So leave the "0008" unedited.

Thank you very much for your help.

I still have both DDR Supernova 1 and 2 (JP versions) and both works on my PCSX2 build I downloaded long time ago but each game is 40GB cuz it's the full HDD raw file, is there any way to make the space used for these any smaller? Having to waste 80GB for just 2 games is kinda a lot imo.

yeah that happened to me to after setting up the game on pcsx2 but then i realized that i have to restart pcsx2 every time i make a setting change or switch games. so basically restart pcsx2 every time you want to boot a game (the qt build at least idk about the wx build).

you have to use chdman.exe which you can get from a mame installation (depending on where you extracted it, it should be in the root mame folder group along with the mame.exe)

put chdman.exe in the same folder as the .chd file itself then open command prompt by typing cmd on the top bar of windows explorer. use the chdman.exe extractraw command and then input the chd file using -i (chd filename here) then output using -o (whatever name.raw)

for example i used the supernova 2 american chd. in this case it would be

chdman.exe extractraw -i gdj_uaa_2007100800.chd -o ddrsn2u.raw

I would like to play with Drummania V3, but I have some problems: i tried to open chdman, but It closes as soon as i open It. I should open chdman via command prompt, i tried to convert chd to raw as i seen in this video:

using extracthd or extractraw, but It won't let me do and it gives me errors like "decompression error" etc. What can i do and how can i solve the problem?

Can anyone help me, please?

What is the best way to get these games synced? I started with Darkfeline’s FFED on SuperNOVA 2 and that took me from wildly late to within the late Great window, but after that it felt like nothing I did would change anything. I swapped the converter to convert to hexadecimal and threw the wild value of FED4 (-300) at it just to see what it would do and there was no change. I’m reloading cheats every time I make a change and it gives me the pop up saying it reloaded but it’s not working.

Also UAA SuperNOVA 1 doesn’t want to load cheats properly. It comes up saying it loaded 7 and loaded 14 in one dialogue box and none of them seem to do anything at all. I don’t have the debug menu option and the sync won’t change at all. Does anyone have any ideas there?

While I’m here, the cheats won’t load automatically even though it’s set to. I have to reload cheats every time I launch the game. How can I get that to work properly?

damn i love PCSX2 latency make you GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! in DDR SN1 and SN2 lol

i don't recall what is the value and it may be hard to pinpoint the hex values

I just wish i understood what the “units” are that I’m adjusting. From 0000 to FFED is a change of -19 and I notice that change. But from -19 onward I don’t notice any change at all. And there is just flat out no change in SN1 it’s still like a full 1/4 note behind.

try fiddling with 0000-7fff, and 8000-ffff separately, this value is a signed 16 bit integer

0000-7fff = 0 to 32767

8000-ffff = -32767 to -1

I got SN2 synched really well. It's tedious, but it turns out reloading cheats after making a change doesn't work. You have to exit the game and reload it, which takes ages. But I managed a PFC on Your Rain even if it isn't the most difficult song out there without my preferred speed mod of choice so I think it's okay. I'm excited to play it. I just need to figure out why cheats aren't working on SN1 now. Thanks for taking the time to explain what the values are, btw. I really don't know anything about hexadecimal, this is my first time messing with that kind of thing.

can you please provide the XXXX value to use in place of 0000 in 0000:0008?

Yeah, of course. I used FFE9 which is -23. It might be off by 1 or 2 for what you need but you can see it lined up well for me.

It’s not a cab, it’s just a PC running the emulator with Born To Lead (B2L) pads hooked up to it. They’re arcade replica pads from iborntolead.com.

Also the sync drift in the emulation is very apparent once you kick up the difficulty. I played for about 2 and a half hours today and genuinely had a blast but this is only good for players who aren’t looking to PFC most of their songs even if they normally could. I got one more PFC today and then spent a good chunk of time in Challenge mode since I generally care less about accuracy in courses. But for a large chunk of players the emulation is definitely good enough.

You got me, these pads are extremely real looking
