This is a fork of PCSX2 (the PS2 emulator) that works with Konami Python 1/2, Konami Bemani Python games, and the Namco System 246 games, which were based off Playstation 2 hardware.

BIOS needed (look for ps2-0190j-20030822.bin)

You need to use a blank PS2 hard disk file for it to work, download that here: fake_hdd.raw

To load it go into Config > Network and HDD Settings > Check "Enabled" > Click Browse and select the file.

For loading games try converting MAME CHD files using chdman into img and then back to iso and see if that works.

Claims to work with Thrill Driver (a Konami Python 2 game) and most of the Python Bemani Games. At the moment there is no compatibility list, plus some games have MagicGate DRM which requires a few bios files which are nearly impossible to find. If anybody were able to supply these it would be greatly appreciated. The closest thing to a BIOS I have found is the KPYTHON.ZIP file for MAME which has the file name "b22a01.u42" Can't figure out how to get any of the bin files I need from that. Download: b22a01.u42

Got to love a bit of Kellogs Vs Capcom, it almost makes you wish it was real, it would be grrrreat to beat up that annoying tiger.

Vous devez utiliser un fichier de disque dur PS2 vierge pour que cela fonctionne, téléchargez-le ici : fake_hdd.raw

Pour le charger, allez dans Config> Paramètres réseau et disque dur> Cochez "Activé"> Cliquez sur Parcourir et sélectionnez le fichier.

Pour charger des jeux, essayez de convertir les fichiers MAME CHD en utilisant chdman en img, puis de nouveau en iso et voyez si cela fonctionne.

Has anybody had any success with trying this emulator?, it looks super promising if the right bios files can be found which I am assuming just cannot be had from mame and are coded to the actual individual hardware, that is where my knowledge or indeed lack of ends though, so if anybody can help out I would really appreciate it.

I was able to configure my G29 steering wheel which works well for left and right steering in test mode calibration.  On the other hand I cannot calibrate my accelerator and brake pedals the calibration is in error every time

in this way its not so good and 40 gb for just a game from 2004 is crazy

i found the issue with analog stick. its a matter of xinput and dinput. with dinput it works the analog steering using a stick but with xinput is not working. tell that to devs if you can thanks

Does anyone know how to get coins to work? The game makes a sound when a coin is inserted but it doesn’t register the coin. So far I can only figure out how to play in freeplay mode.

Where did you get that? Btw, you can use same tutorial for TD3 for SN too, which is in archive with TD3 dump and launch info, link is under the relevant VGE video

i got it from here: KONAMI / Облако Mail.ru. And I did the same setup for td3 but the emulator just wont start the game. the instructions on github say i just need to boot bios but it just goes straight to the ps2 home screen.

Also the method that was used to boot thrill drive 3 was by using the dnasload.elf file which i dont have for ddr supernova

Do any of you have intermediate skills using git? I’ve played P2IO on a win 10 laptop which works great however my arcade cabinet runs windows 7 which v1.7 of PCSX2 doesn’t work on. I’m wondering if someone here could help merge the P2IO fork with PCSX2 v1.6? Is that possible?

are you sure? i mean its in compressed zip files and even after uncompressing them, it still comes out as a full 40gb .img file. its also the same for the Thrill Drive 3 dump as well. in fact as i mentioned before even trying to boot td3 without the dnasload.elf will just boot the bios screen. Does anyone even know how to extract the dnasload.elf from the img file? because the people behind the thrill drive 3 project managed to do so.

Yes, I am aware, but I managed to acquire it before it went dead. unfortunately, I don't know any other links. I could probably try uploading it myself but i will have to find a way to compress the image file

i found this on reddit and someone got ddr supernova 1 and 2 to work. any help? i downloaded from the github but don't know how to get it to work after that.

and also this. i followed the step by step process but keep getting 'gs failed to open' or something. i even changed the python2.ini by replacing the 'game2' with DDR SuperNOVA2. Turns out it requires using HDD or something. I think the .iso should be HDD or whatever, it's all Greek to me.

pcsx2 devs have nothing to do with that fork and what pcsx2 devs do and update is not aligned to that fork because many things in that fork dont work as in pcsx2

wow thats sick how did you get supernova 2? also the dump of supernova that i have is missing the hdd id and ilink so thats probably why i cant get mine working.

Sweet. It does work. I only have the .iso for SN2 though, nothing more so I can't get it to work for now.
