I'm loving the T-Rex, I'll take it over the original. Blitter settings are good to go, and there's no lag that I can tell. Pretty damn great, though the game is still too hard!

Look, I don't like this hack and want a normal version too, but know that neither cavedweller nor houb are obliged to do anything they did to begin with, right? They could have not released anything for you to play at all, they could have not shown you that a reverse edit is viable, but they did, and as someone who didn't even lift a finger to contribute anything, you should be thankful that you're getting stuff for free at all.  

If you want a 'hero' to magically grant you any wish you want, then go be that hero yourself. Work it out with your own effort rather than complaining about others not satisfying you.

use another mame it gives a CRC errror of the rom in MAME ui 64 You can play the game despite the errors

Start the game from the command line.  So from inside the mame directory use

mame.exe dfkbl

Start the game, push Tab key for view the menu, go to Slide option and set BlitterDelay at any % (70% for my is good), now go to Machine Configuration and set Use BlitterDelay at YES, reset the game.

Can anyone help me with running CV1000 games in general? I'm using Mame64 0.219 and all the games i've tried give me a missing ROM/CHD error when the names of the files are as they should be and the u2,u4,u23,u24 files in the zips are all present.

EDIT: used 0.198 instead and it worked for some reason, even though it seems that romsets for these games remain the same for both versions. Getting that Checksum error for SDOJ though.

You have to make sure you're using the correct romset for that version of mame.

I have had no issue running all the cave titles in 0.238.  This SDOJ hack works in the Arcade64 build of mame. It was linked to in this thread.

I've gotten the file, renamed it, got the Arcade64 build, tryed it in command line, still getting the missing files error. BAH I'm gonna go fire up the 360 port, input lag or not...

I really don´t care if cavedweller hacked change textures as well for Mushihimesama Matsuri too and maybe hack the dodonpachi from cave in to Campaign Version and emulate DeathSmiles II.

It will be a big pleasure if it does that to us. I Hope he can read this, i'm waiting for this game since 2014. And it was very sweet, because what a pain is having no windows version ported in this system.

This is just to show it's doable and more than that it's easy to do (but it takes nearly 10 hours...).

So if you are a huge Cave fan: just do it yourself for yourself, otherwise wait until Cavedwellers april release.

 

Did you hex edit the roms or something? Anyways, good job. I'm not an expert, but at least i will wait for sure for the official version.

Actually, Deathsmiles 2 is already emulated, or rather cracked since It is on 'CAVE PC' system which uses PC hardware. I don't expect this kind of game to be playable in MAME though.

I have inside as well Pinball Action.  And the screen effect is the same as the PC Version.

 

It is possible to unlock Saya on this game or she is not in the arcade version?
