did a fresh install of Resident and added the correct updates up untill LDJ-2023090500-2023101800 in the right order and then added the full epolis omnimix.

Epolis does work before i add the bm2dx.dll omnimix patch. but getting this error after.

You can forget about mermaid i think. it's mainly a japanese only server and almost impossible for people outside of japan to get into.

I was able to run EPOIS in 120hz mode, though I get an issue in the mode select screen where the fps drops to 60. When I get to music select screen it goes back to 120fps. Its the only place where it runs like that. The whole game runs fine. Any ideas?

No, that's not normal, sounds like you may have patched incorrectly?

Did you use "Force Custom Timing and Adapter Mode in LDJ (Experimental)", set "Choose Custom LDJ Timing/Adapter FPS:" to 120FPS?

Do not use Skip Monitor Check.

Count me in too. I saw the same 5-1505-0001 error upon launching Epolis Omni.

The good news is that you can disable the Omni via the patcher and can still run normal Epolis just fine as of this post, for those struggling with setting it up.

Confirmed that checking "去除歌曲数量限制" AND "omnimix (需要上面的补丁)" in the patcher does it; Omni Epolis now works. I used Omni before the ifs_layeredfs option is available so for me I did not use the ifs_layeredfs plugin.

aclayers.dll is a Windows component, possibly you have some corrupt OS files causing the crash. try sfc /scannow, or windows repair....

you might want to try the latest spice2x beta as well.

full log.txt might be helpful.

In game sound recording does not work when recording using OBS. If run it at 44100hz using wasapi sharing mode, the music will play at low speed, and if run it at 96000hz, it will end on a black screen. If there is a solution, please let me know.

Tried sfc /scannow, seems that something got fixed, but the issue persisted after restart.

What is different in Epolis is that the game will ask for very small buffers, so if your sound card can't keep up, it will sound bad.

You can also try 48khz... or try FlexASIO instead.

Issue fixed by unticking "Disable fullscreen optimizations" of spice64.exe. Ticked it when following Infinitas optimization guide on iidx.org.

Speaking of optimization, if anyone is consistently having their charts lagging behind the music (most notably, the vocal is completely unsynced against music, around 1-2 seconds), and have tried rentry and iidx.org optimization guide with no improvement, please try all of the following three settings:

1. Force off v-sync in NVIDIA control panel, and;

2. Force 60/120 refresh rate in spicecfg, and;

3. Speedshift EPP set to 0 (if you are using ThrottleStop), untick "Disable Turbo", and;

4. Enable DirectX 9 on 12 in spicecfg.

Try both 1 and 3 first to make sure that you can get consistent 60/120 fps (enable FPS/clock overlay in spicecfg, you should not see a visible 59/119 flashing when playing the chart), if you did both and are still facing issues, do 4. My unsync issue did not went better, even with consistent framerate, until I enabled DirectX 9 on 12. YMMV

Don't ever force v-sync off in bemani games lol. Almost all of them rely on v-sync being on.

It's OK for the game to drop to 119.94 FPS or whatever, it's really not a big deal, IIDX can figure out the stable framerate during monitor check. If you go to an arcade and observe the monitor check on a Lightning Model, it stabilizes at like 119.xx Hz, not 120.

People, who has a working version of Tricoro? I downloaded from the torrent in the first post on nyasi, but I have at the moment of selecting the mode gives a white screen and the word limit, which is from the timer and the game hangs. Can someone share the graphics folder with me?

I'm looking to add support for tricoro onwards to the plugin, I've gotten as far as login but error there, will do more debugging when I finish work today.

Before I go any further I wanted to ask if anyone else had already done some work, as it would be far wiser to use what currently exists as opposed to starting fresh or trying to backport existing code to older styles.

If anyone's got anything please say, it'd be great to have older styles supported, PENDUAL, SPADA and copula are a joy to play.

Yeah playing older styles is a real joy to play with hundreds of songs missing from the newer stuff. Doesn't make sense to me personally considering I play these games for content, and with all that content missing just to play an older mix's interface is a bit silly, but that's just me. It would be MUCH more joyful if I could play the current mix with all the newer mixes content but interchange through older versions interfaces with the touch of a button via a mod. Now THERE's a much better idea, but that doesn't work, so ehh.

this is for people with IIDX cabs.... and you don't usually want it

This is for touch screens in TDJ mode, and even then, there is no need for them

-audiobackend waveout

this will make your game sound like shit or no sound at all

why don't you click "Reset Configuration" button at the bottom in Advanced tab and try fresh?

I don't have a suggestion on *why* it's being logged (maybe bad data? because I don't see this)

but if you want to mask the problem, you can set -loglevel to "fatal" in spicecfg.
