Before to update iidx 30 to this new game is better to conserve a copy of Resident? Because the title game change i think? Is It so?

You don't have to overwrite your files if you use the data_mods folder and ifs_layeredfs https://github.com/mon/ifs_layeredfs/releases

 

Just place it in the data_mods folder and the game will read this over RESIDENT, backup your RESIDENT bm2dx.dll as well so you can just swap those in and out as you please, and when you don't want EPOLIS any more just place the update into another folder outside of data_mods or similar.

 

This is done the same way all those other mods are, it's how I keep my vanilla and omnimix installations separated.

I can run the game only in ASIO and FlexAsio mode. 😕

Anyone knows how to use the sub screen in 2nd monitor? I cannot point my mouse there. Also the Toggle Sub Screen option now only shows a 888888 line instead of interactable sub screen like before.

The mode select movie in the Epolis data is still the Gangnam style video from the troll on 1CC. Can someone replace it with the legit file and fix this? and stop messing around please? Lol

Just remove it from the folder, it goes unused anyway so it's fine.

Head to \contents\data_mods\01_epolis\movie\1 and delete the video

This unfortunately might be a consequence of the hardware upgrade kit for old cabs - the new PCB has an ASUS Xonar AE, which is the same ASIO sound card in the lightning cab. So WASAPI isn't officially supported and might just straight up not work anymore.

Are you talking about EPOLIS?

 

There is always a lot of confusion about how TDJ or subscreen works and a lot of bad information, but I can confirm that it works with the latest spice2x as intended. See screenshot attached

 

Try the following:

* Make sure you use the latest beta spice2x.

* Do not check any hex edits or spice options to disable the sub screen, do not enable single monitor mode

* For Epolis, must enable hex edit "Force TDJ mode"

 

I can confirm that both the subscreen overlay works, and also a physical second monitor.

 

For subscreen overlay: press Page Up to show subscreen window on main screen, and use your mouse and click on it. Only one monitor needed.

For physical second screen: you can't use a mouse, you have to hook up a touch screen (or just bring up the subscreen overlay on the primary screen and click with mouse)

 

Using a tablet with SpiceCompanion is still possible, but it's really not necessary, but a lot of people fall into the trap thinking that it's the only option...

I see something similar, crash after selecting a mode. I think this is a bug in asphyxia plugin, because it doesn't happen on new cards, or when playing without a card.

 

EDIT: this only happens to TDJ mode. LDJ is fine.

It's even quiter than Resident even then.

Edit: It's just TDJ mode that's super quiet. LDJ has a bit more volume, but not It's also a little quiet.

Go into Test Menu, sound options and increase the volume from 20 to 30, it helps a little.

Those of you wanting WASAPI Shared mode working, change your windows audio from 16bit 44100hz to 16bit 96000hz. Works like a charm.

Delete the last line (tourism_booster), save

Okay, so I upgraded to Epolis and it keeps giving me a card device error. Changing to TDJ in config does nothing. It's still defaulting to 60 FPS and not reading card device. Log is attached.

You used:

-exec bm2dx.dll -url http://localhost:8083 -smartea -eamaint 0 -iidx -iidxdisablecams -modules modules -api 78 -apipass *****

 

You need to remove the following to get IO to work:

-exec bm2dx.dll -iidx

 

or, you can enable -io.

 

If you're trying to enable TDJ, you have to set -iidxtdj AND enable the hex edit.

You need to get the updates '2022120800', '20230404' and '2023090500' before you can install the files for EPOLIS.

You can find DL links with this guide - https://rentry.org/iidxdump 
Follow the instructions and you should be good to go after that.

Try unchecking Skip Monitor Check with patcher.
