If you don't have scaling enabled on either the monitor/TV or GPU, then yes you will see the native 720p game screen surrounded by black bars.   Enabling scaling will allow the image to be upscaled to 1080p (or 2K or 4K)  & eliminate the black bars.   I've heard it's preferable to turn on scaling on the monitor/TV rather than via GPU for performance reasons, but I don't really notice a big difference.   I guess that will probably depend on the hardware being used.

Edit: After doing some more reading and troubleshooting when I wasn't so tired, I was able to fix my problem. I've got everything working now including my save data from Bistrover transferred to CH. Nice~

Edit2: For Premium Free mode crashing after exiting, if I'm reading right updating to 101301 will fix this?


Trying to get CH29 running with asphyxia but can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm still able to connect just fine in 28. When I boot CH (updated from Bistrover from link on front page), during the boot sequence it shows Network: Error. I've tried some of the asphyxia plugins I've found here by going to different pages but I must be doing something wrong. Attached config.ini, log and images I thought might be useful (image in Japanese just says check network. If I go into the service menu and check Network, shop name is 'Asphyxia', but e-amuse still 'Not Available'. If I go to Game Mode, I get another message that when translated just says e-amuse services aren't available and I can't get to the title screen). The game works just fine when I disable ea emulation in spicecfg. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? There has to be something I'm missing here.. Thanks in advance.

Also, when booting I show Backup Data: Error for some reason? Also, boot showing wrong version. It should be 2021101300 (haven't applied any further updates)

Don't worry about the what the "boot version" shows.   You can just edit the ea-config file to the "correct" version if you want it to show that during boot up sequence.

 

As for the backup error,  just go into  ../contents/dev/nvram   &  delete everything in there  (or move the files to some other directory on your pc if you want to back them up).     Start up the game again and it should work but you 'll probably need to go into the test menu and set things like the resolution, clock, etc.  again  as if this was a "fresh" install.

Hi

 

I'm new here, but i'm having a sound issue with bistrover, i have it running on 2 different machines, one is running onboard audio and the sound is just fine, game runs flawlessly. But on my main machine, i upgraded my sound system to studio monitor speakers and an external sound interface with USB-C. When i'm running on my main machine, having setup with 44.1KHz and app exclusive to the audio in windows, attempted this in ASIO and WASAPI, but i'm getting a slight crackle in the sound at times, it's only happening when i run bistrover, the game runs flawlessly otherwise but it's just a little distracting to have the sound do this. The reason i want to run on the main machine of course is to use my upgraded sound system. I have tried to test the sound if i can emulate it with IIDX Infinitas, and Infinitas works flawlessly, the sound is pristine, so i'm thinking it could be something with the bistrover data not wanting to work properly with USB-C external sound? Any help would be amazingly appreciated!

I seem to remember reading in here somewhere that you have to be using your onboard audio but I'm not 100% positive.

Ok, so I was messing around with Autoplay just for curiosity's sake and I accidentally saved a max score AAA on a song (haha, oops).. is there any way to delete the score for just that song or am I just stuck with it? I guess it's fine if I can't but it would be nice if I was able to somehow fix that without starting over and losing all my other scores. I feel kind of dumb for letting that happen, lol.. I don't know why I didn't just quit out of the song before it was too late. I guess I should start backing up my save more often.

 

Also what's the deal with Arena Mode while using Asphyxia? Is it possible for online/local battles to happen with other people on Asphyxia? If so, how does that work?

To answer your question about Asphyxia with Arena mode, Asphyxia is a mock internet connection, it's not real, it's simulated and local to boot the game and save scores without internet, and initiating multiplayer with other players using it off multiple computers or anywhere in the world, is impossible I'm afraid. As for the autoplay, I would highly recommend using it without logging into your account as what happened to you will happen, and since everything is forced unlocked thanks to the DLL modder, there was really no reason to use it while on your account. Not sure how to delete the score, but for next time, use it during a non-logged in play if you wanna try it. How arena mode works you can look up on the Remywiki for more info, but basic explanation is the machine senses other players in the session in the vicinity who are also connected in the Arena mode session(Players would organize the session off the machine and coordinate going into arena mode to play together) and wanna verse each other in the mode, and you each take turns picking a 4 song set, and you all play them together in a scoring session one by one in a 4 stage game, and whoever scores higher at the end of the session is the winner, and collects currency and even a few unlocks like revivals and leggendaria charts along the way and like Dan mode there's a lettered ranking just for bragging rights and whatnot. Basically it's the games online versus mode. But sadly since Asphyxia isn't a real internet connection and theres no way to connect to other machines, or PC's in this case, I'm afraid it's impossible to get working I'm afraid. Also the Arena mode isn't completely working either, the data version isn't fully fleshed out and it will crash your game due to file error, so don't bother with it.

There's no way to set that in Asphyxia as it's just set to you as there is no internet connection and it can't detect other players. For you it's just a list of all your previous records.

I used a free VPN to download from the link on the front page. Updated Bistrover to CastHour like that. SoftEther VPN + Plugins for Relay Servers

Also, are these patches for CH floating around out there anywhere?

How did you go about updating Bistrover to CastHour? I have LDJ-2021091500 with Omnimix and all of the files from teknoparrot but I can't get CastHour to work. Is there a specific order that you need to copy over the patches or boot up the game after certain updates? There are gaps in the version numbers that are available in that collection of files and several of those files appear to have issues as they are currently. Someone else on here said they had to get more files from somewhere else but didn't say which ones those were or where they got them.

EDIT: Turns out that french site that's hosting the data for CastHour and Bistrover had over 3 gigs of data files missing from the CastHour cache they had there. I'm also hearing people are having problems on that site with data overall. Got data elsewhere and it's working fine. Thanks anyway.

Guys, I tried to run the IIDX28 downloaded from Nyaa or 29 from the community. It always pops up error like this (Error from 20210426):

 

W:libutils: 'C:\Users\gzzy\Downloads\LDJ-2021042600\contents\libavs-win64.dll' couldn't be loaded: The specified module could not be found.

 

Could I get some help on this?

 

What I have tried:

  1. Install all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables from AIO installers
  2. Install the DirectX End-User Runtimes

Some side notes:

  1. IIDX 27 and SDVX 6 works fine on my PC.
  2. CPU: i7-7700k, GPU: GTX 1080TI

- Downloaded from nyaa the LDJ-2021083000
- Installed all the stuff linked in the first page except Windows_mediafeaturepack because my windows isn't an "N" and it can't be installed here (error during installation raised)

- Downloaded the content.7z and replaced all the stuff inside

- Configured and run Asphyxia as said
- Lunch the "Run me.bat" from content.7z downloaded from here

The result is in the log file.

Tried another PC copying all the staff there. Same result.

Ok, I have found the solution to this. It is rather stupid TBH. 

 

Problems:

 

Why the error happened?

All module files (dll files) are organized in the `modules/` folder instead of on the root directory. However, spicetools load modules from the root directory by default and that is why there is a no module found (missing dll) error above. 

 

Why this is not an issue for everyone?

Spicetool somehow saves your setup throughout your PC, therefore if your previous IIDX setup in the spicetools did not redirect the module path, the newly downloaded spicetools inside the IIDX bundle does not too.

On the other hand, if it is your first time download the spicetool from the IIDX bundle or your previous IIDX setup in spicetools already have redirected the module path, that is no longer a problem.

 

Solutions:

Simply indicate the module folder path in spicetools configuration.

Here is the detailed step:if

  1. Open 'Spicecfg.exe'
  2. Make sure the game selection is 'Beatmania IIDX' on the top and click the 'Option' tab in the below.
  3. Locate the 'Module Folder Path' (should be indicated as '-modules' in command line) and input your module folder name here. In most cases, you should input 'modules' as this is the folder that contains all the dll files. It should look like this in the spicetools. image.png.c18184366776d24bce77160f4482316e.png
  4. Run the 'Spice64.exe' to test it out.

Question, is there something wrong with Dan courses? I cleared/passed 1st through 8th Dan, except for one problem. No matter how man times I clear 7th Dan it never saves as being cleared. It always reverts to a previous saved attempt at 68% and is marked as "failed". I attempted it again yesterday and got 80% completion and a 'clear', but still it didn't save. Is this a known issue? All the other Dan courses I've done have been saved and marked as passed.

 

Also, where is 9th and 10th Dan? Or kaiden and chuuden? Are those locked or something? I feel like I'm about ready to try 9th Dan but for some reason they aren't available for me. Is it because it's not marking 7th as 'passed' for me? I'm on CastHour, by the way. Thanks!

I already tried fixing the refresh rate and set the sound to 16bit 44.1Hz, using fresh build of Asphyxia

use bemanitools or spicetools ?

 

for IIDX : use bemanitools !!!

 

in your desktop :

- set the résolution : 1280x720

- set the framerate : 60Hz or 120Hz (59hz or 119hz is good if 60hz/120hz not possible)

 

in your graphic card :

- Vsync : ON

 

for sound :

- plug with jack directly on your motherboard

- change for ASIO in the "iidxhook-29.conf"

# Force ASIO audio mode/device (if applicable / TDJ default)
asio.force_asio=true

# Force WASAPI audio mode (if applicable / LDJ default)
asio.force_wasapi=false

 

- set the sound to 16bit 48Hz or better 96Hz if you can

If you're on the first date code the dan courses after 8th arent in the game yet as thats how it is normally on release. They were released in the november patch iirc.

With the final CH files that mikaelr put up recently I was finally able to get CH to work by merging it with my working Bistrover+omnimix install, though now I'm without the omnimix tracks. Just need to know how to unlock/reveal those omnimix tracks again. The omnimix checkbox in the current CH patcher makes the game unloadable and I haven't found a .bat file around for CH omnimix. The patcher presumably still works with the dll as it says it finds 44 of 44 patches. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I've been fighting with my bistrover for the past few days trying to get it to work with asphyxia. After not playing for many months, I tried booting the game and was unable to get past the initializing game screen. I found my solution and wanted to share it here for those interested. This solution probably applies to any iidx version.

 

The game would crash only when I was running asphyxia. If asphyxia was not running, the game would boot fine under any circumstances. But when booting with asphyxia running, a network error would display, then after continuing the game would crash right before the monitor check.

 

What was causing this was that the entire directory holding the game contents was set to read only. So if you are having this issue, right click the folder that holds the game files, and ensure that "Read-only (Only applies to files in folder)" is not checked. See photo:

I hope this is helpful to anyone experiencing a similar issue. No clue how the folder got set to read only in the first place.

I need help with launching the game, please.

 

When I tried to launch spice64.exe, I got an error stating that "llbavs-win64.dll couldn't be loaded: The specified module could not be found." before it crashed. Also, launching spice.exe doesn't work.

 

I installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables from AIO installer and DirectX End-User Runtimes.

 

I attached a log.txt.

I'm actually in the final patch, 2022-08-24, and I still don't have them. There must be something out there I'm still missing somehow. Maybe I need to enable something in the game patcher? Does Omnimix need to be enabled?
