in fact it is happening to me since today, the game loads all the cores and it just closes.

install everything needed directx vcredist vm9 etc and nothing works.

I don't know if I'm starting the game from an external drive it would be illogical.

 

But also if you want to change some audios on the game just rename your file for example: storm_racing.uad to storm_racing.ogg and it plays in klite music player

Did you fix it, I'm having the same problem since May and have not been able to resolve this problem, game crash and immediately closes after the ''Have Fun'' message, it was previously working BEFORE updating back in May, I'm not the only one with this issue I see

Maybe make sure you launch the game at the right times so that one PC isn't ahead or behind the other when it gets to the network check screen. On the main game screen where it asks you to Press Start and shows the coins, in the bottom right corner there's a red M, the number next to that M tells you how many cabs are linked.

On one windows 10 PC, I have the Green M monitor on the bottom right.  On the second PC, the Green monitor will turn Red about 3 minutes after Windows bootup (even with Firewall off) and remain Red (no game connection) after that, but other than that internet works fine. I can see multiplayer for those few minutes.   Any idea what in my windows might be causing loss of Storm Racer connection few minutes after bootup.  It is a clean win 10 install with no installed applications.  

Tried on a windows 7 PC, only get Red monitor, while others have had success with Win 7.

Edit: think I solved the problem!  This also may have also been bestekar's desync problem.  I disabled all non-essential network devices in device manager (ie wifi adapter since I am using Ethernet).  This seemed to resolve the connection dropping.  Got all 3 PCs connected on Ethernet.

Yes dude, I will NEVER Advice someone to buy an AMD GPU, NEVER for emulation ! so much compatibility problems... because there are a tons of NVIDIA Arcade games, and a Tiny minority AMD arcade games

Hello,

I just found a clue about my problem. It's the latest AMD drivers that are in question. If I uninstall the 22.12.1 drivers and use the windows 11 drivers, ALL teknoparrot games works, however some PC games no longer work (black screen). On the other hand it puts impossible to install the preceding drivers, the 22.5.1. My rx6700 is not recognized.... If it helps anyone.

I have the same problem! Pc1 (192.168.1.1) is online while pc2 (192.168.1.2) is offline!! Connection in lan never works! can you help me?  Ps: pcs are connected together with a crossover  Ethernet cable

 

edit: it works! I have to set airplane mode on laptop (pc 2)  😏

the only way to solve for me was a delete all game a downloaded again from the server i mean a fresh one copy

we are going to Abandon TecknoParrot for the moment,

cooozzz we are going to use a pre-patched JConfig to bring back the glorious FullScreen to its paroxysm, almost, almost.

 

1. use/DL a clean version SRG.

2. in topic below, go to >Jconfig, open hidden content, browse to >Others: then DL => StormRacerG_2022_03_04.rar

3. paste the content of JConfig SRG files in the game directory, use the README.txt to set it up properly.
4. after setup, launch "racing.exe" & enjoy this great game once again !

5. *HI-RES* WORK IN PROGRESS > i'm working on adding a DGVoodoo again, but for JConfig this times, maybe an update in a few hours.

//EDIT: there is minor light map problem (but it's annoying), otherwise working as entended use my old DGVoodoo

 - JConfig: reso: 1366x768 | uncheck "DX Window Mode" | Settings: MSAA OFF

 - DGVoodoo: General > Output API > Direct3D 11 (feat. lvl 10.0) | DirectX > Antialiasing (MSAA) > 4x

CLUE the problem, it's that TP is no more calling DX9 for many games, maybe all games, idk.

so DGVoodoo is no more working, plus weird fullscreen boot crash.
& using Direct3D 11 (feat. lvl 10.0) in DGVooDoo is a bad alternative, creating lightmap & bloom problems.

if someone at the TP team could bring back the DX9 working like before (don't know what's happened neither when)

but SRG worked like a charm for many here, & one day, it's no more working for "unknown reason".

please bring back DX9 !!! thanks. T_T

Hi there, I was going to try this when I just tried TP before doing it just for the sake of it and for my BIG BIG surprise..... IT WORKED!!

So after trying everything when I first had this problem that it stopped working around a year ago, DGVoodoo, jconfig, virtual machine, re-adding the game, basically tried everything was going to give this a try... again, but fortunately is working again, perhaps you should try too, it is working in the latest TP .985   UI .960

This is true, the problem was something in TP because many people here and on youtube reported the same issue of it not working beside trying everything, the game just no longer worked for many of us all of a sudden just one day when it was previously working.

you said "it works", but you mean in native 1384x832 ? because it's working like this, but it's ugly.

i try to reproduce the 4K Upscale, because in 4K this game is wonder.

 

Also, i have spent hours, last night, using the Excellent ArCabView, but still failed (seems same problem occured when puting fullscreen using DGVoodoo 3D overscale, trying to open then close).

i will re-try TP before asking to Ducon if he understand why it's not working.

i tried but still the same as many, i link a freshly dled SRG game in TP (updated ofc), setup, unselect "Windowed",

i launch, an original sized (1384x832) is opening, all white for 2 sec & close. :/ thanks anyway bro.

maybe SRG don't like AMD Cards, or too recent Graphics Drivers is a problem possibly.

*i m less sure this problem is coming from TP, seems more like Garphic Driver compatibility.*

i can't roll-back my AMD drivers to test, b'cause, as you can see, my AMD Card is too recent (oldest drivers 12/2022) 

if someone can test, i mean, AMD Card + old recommended Drivers for TP & see if FS is working ? could help, tx

For those who are having graphical issues when applying the 4k upscale patch, make sure 'Fix - Disable MSAA' is enabled in teknoparrot settings.
