otomon Posté(e) le 9 novembre 2020 Posté(e) le 9 novembre 2020 Really want to figure out how to play The Maze of the Kings for my bday today, been trying to figure it out for hours.. Redream does not support it, NullDc has no mouse support So I went for Demul which runs it, and people online say to set up mouse as ligrthgun you just change the setting on Maple to “Ligthgun” but I am not getting any input from the mouse… So next I see people everywhere saying Demulshooter helps add mouse support to games but it is so confusing… On Windows 10, I made a shortcut to Demulshooter adding the command line -target=demul07a -rom=mok after target location I run that as administrator and it added an icon to my system tray.. so I figured I got it right, I run the emulator and rom and then…. Nothing, still no mouse input…. What have I done wrong? I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a little help here… I was gonna give up and just play it with controller… but the game does not have crosshair in the actual gameplay lol… its like no matter what I try with this game I am screwed….
JustinCredible81 Posté(e) le 9 novembre 2020 Posté(e) le 9 novembre 2020 (modifié) I am fairly certain Demulshooter is meant for actual lightguns only not a mouse.  If you look for Flycast standalone (or if you prefer, use it in Retroarch) it has built in mouse support and it works with Naomi games such as Maze of the Kings. No Demulshooter or additional scripts are needed. Modifié le 9 novembre 2020 par JustinCredible81

Woah thanks for the link! Will really help not just for that game. The Flycast guide says I still need the matching rom tho.. I tried using the one from the mame 0226 set but didnt work >_< With the .dat file I was running it as an "encrypted rom" but doesnt look like Flycast has that option Modifié le 9 novembre 2020 par otomon
JustinCredible81 PostĂ©(e) le 9 novembre 2020 PostĂ©(e) le 9 novembre 2020 The matching roms are in the link, you need to download the .zip and the chd for each game you want (although a few don't have a chd)Â

otomon Posté(e) le 9 novembre 2020 Auteur Posté(e) le 9 novembre 2020 (modifié) @JustinCredible81 Holy @#$%!!! Using the proper .chd and rom that you linked me, instead of the decrypted rom I was using... now lets me play the game perfectly with mouse! That was the issue all along! Thank you so much bro! Im happy AF that finally figured it out!!! Modifié le 9 novembre 2020 par otomon

Had to keep trying to run the game over and over until Demul will randomly identify the right bios, or manually change the correct bios for that one game... So Im guessing the .dat format also confused Demul so it didnt know it was a ligthgun game, and that was the problem. Just played the whole game with the chd you provided and game runs flawlessly
