i found the problem:

 

use the startup.arc for the page 66 show all song but the 3 new songs are missing (pics 1-2)

use thestartup.arc for pixeldrain 2024101500 update show the missing song but all music gone 😞  (pics 3-4)

Hello...

But, we should not use modified “startup.arc”. The server is in responsible of showing us the songs without touching this file, which by itself, must always be clean. 
Then, there must be some string in the new compiled that is not allowing to show the songs and that is not taking the “musicdb.xml” as reference.

in most cases this is because your dump doesn't cooperate with the server that isn't sending the mcodes to the game

 

please get the correct plugin, I'll also send mine when I get the opportunity.

With the previous plugin, it did show me all the songs without modifying anything in the game, which in fact, I never do. When I updated the plugin “ddr@asphyxia” according to the developer's Github, what I previously reported happened. I think it is not the game itself, but the plugin that something is missing to run correctly as before.

I did a clean install, downloaded everything again (updates included 2024101500) and installed the latest spice tools and the latest version of asphyxia with all the plugins from the page and the result is the same. The modified startup gives access to all the songs except the 3 new ones and the clean startup gives access to everything new but only to the world folder.

it makes sense you probably have to update your musicdb to support all songs. songs that are missing won't show up on the music select screen

Where exactly do you get the musicdb file?  There is one linked in the github which I've tried linking in the Asphyxia, but still getting the issue as above (a lot of missing music and only 'normal' difficulty

I was able to get something like that working. It creates a high score entry in the db for each song, for each style, and for each difficulty for each 'slot' (world #1, area #1, machine #1) and gets updated when you get a higher score.

 

World #1 is just the highest record score overall.

Area #1 is based on the locationid asphyxia provided, meaning we have no way of changing "areas" (that I know of) right now.

Machine #1 is based on locationid and pcbid so at least we can have different hiscore entries for different pcbids.

 

Then all those high scores are loaded through playdata_3.rivaldata_load. Seems to work for me just fine, but let me know if anyone's having issues.

If you want that, you'll have to develop it yourself. It's not difficult, but it is cumbersome
