In the HEXEdit in the dllparcher I can't find the option to "unlock songs" a little help please

So I extracted the contents of the A3 folder into my current A20+ folder and all I got was the A3 theme with A20’s BGM playing. Also none of the A3 songs show up. Pretty sure I messed it up. Any advice?

Me, never have any crashes after changing into J:A:A. Did you also downloaded the one from Nyaa? I think try downloading it first coz it's 800mb+ packed.

2. Search for the Text String "limited"

 

3. This string has two (2) instances of "limited"  Change BOTH of them to "fimited"  you can highlight the "l" and type "f" to replace easily

 

4. Enjoy songs unlocked!

Unrelated to the A3 dump, but i have 1 HID smart reader. It works fine for p1, as soon as i use numlock to switch it to p2, my game crashes
not sure how to fix it
im using spice tools and i have -scard and -scardtoggle enabled.

Hi guys, I've been able to boot A3 (MDX2022070400) on my cabinet (real bemani pc hardware).

But apparently I can't press start to enter game mode (still stuck at A3/ demo screen)
- Can insert credit but can't use it to start play

- Tried to change it to freeplay mode but with no avail

 

Is the game only playable under maintenance mode? if so, how could I access the mode?

Simply head into your SpiceTools configuration and enable “e-amusement Emulation” under the Options tab. Or launch spice.exe with the “-ea” flag from the terminal for e-amusement emulation.

 

The game will then run in maintenance mode and you should be able to start DDR A3 from there.

If you want to emulate the e-amusement servers being online, toggle the "e-amusement Maintenance" option to off.

Wouldn't emulating the e-amusement servers as online still not let you insert a card? That usually only works with Butterfly (of which there's no version with support for A3), or with Asphyxia (which currently doesn't have a working plugin that supports A3), and since you can't insert a card, you'd rather be using the maintenance mode so you don't have to go through an extra menu before you can get into the game.

If you try to insert a card with “e-amusement Emulation” on and “e-amusement Maintenance” off through SpiceTools, you will get an error on the login screen saying “The network is busy”. Until Asphyxia or Butterfly support the DDR A3 release, you might want to leave it on maintenance mode for the time being.

I tried inserting some commands in my gamester.bat (e.g -ea after spice.exe), it did show 'maintenance' mode on the bottom of screen, but apparently I still stuck at 'network error' screen (the yellow box) even though my cab is connected to internet thru LAN. (can't even enter test mode - maybe cab input is not detected in my current spice tools setup?)

Any advice on this case? And will it help if I enable '-eamaint' in the script to help with the 'network error'?

Personally, I don't think I've encountered that issue with the "MAINTENANCE" text with a yellow error box on startup with my SpiceTools configuration.

 

But what I would suggest is trying adding in '-eamaint' and see what happens from there.

The reason why you can't get past the first stage is because the "Premium Free" hexedit has been done by someone else who has provided the update files.

 

It's easy to fix the issue:

1. Go to your game directory and there should be a "HEXEDIT" folder. If not, find it inside the zip file for the DDR A3 update.

2. Double click on the "ddra3.html" link. This will take you to the DDR A3 DLL Modifier page.

I've provided the zip file to the tool just in case.

3. Add the "gamemdx.dll" file to the DLL modifier and disable the "Premium Free" option. You can also modify other settings to tweak the game to your preferences.

4. Download the patched DLL file by scrolling down to the bottom and click "Save Patched File". Once downloaded, copy and overwrite the "gamemdx.dll" file in your DDR A3 directory.

 

5. Simply start the game with SpiceTools. That's all there's to it! Hopefully this should resolve your issue.
