For graphic settings is better to change from ini in the Documents folder because is not read-only otherwise from the game folder you need to uncheck read-only and re-check it after saving.

OK, tonight I have started to play with the "Localization" folders. Conlusions:

1. The file "TimeCrisisEngine.ini" inside "C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\TimeCrisisGame\Config" doesn't matter If you run the game whit the "Start.bat", because this .bat includes a force Language to JPN.

2. To run in Japanese, you need to have "JPN" folders inside "TC5\TimeCrisisGame\Engine\Localization" and "TC5\TimeCrisisGame\Localization". I create a quick google translation, you can Decompress the zip included in the post and drop into the game. When you do this automaticaly when boot the game, the warning messagefor JAPAN ARCADES appear and also the BANAPASSPORT splash claming for your card.

3. You can edit my file .jpn as a .txt whit notepad, but the problem is I cant find the correct Font inside the game, If someone can do it, probably the Japanese works! In red the things reletad to the game fonts (japanese characters) that we need to replace, but I don't know where I can get it inside the game.

Cita

[FontLib]
FontLib=TC5_GFx_Fonts.fonts_en

[Fonts]
BoldFont=FOT-NewRodin ProN EB
NormalFont=FOT-NewRodin ProN B
NameFont=FOT-NewRodin ProN EB

All you did is put the text into Google Translate. None of the subtitles match the original

Exciting news for Wiimote users.........(and maybe other light gun users as the idea might be applicable to them as well especially ones that are seen as a mouse)

Have got this working and playable in Mode 4 and Touchmote-needs some fine tuning before a full share

No ahk needed either on any of the buttons.

Loads, add coin, skip scenes, aim and shoot (sometimes even hit!!--I never said I was good at the game) and exits all from the comfort of a Wiimote.

Going to go make it 100% for mode 4 users, and then get it to work in Mode 2 as well for the Mode 2 users (think this will need the use of ahk though) before making a video and then sharing.

Just wanted to let people know progress is being made

Wow!

Can't wait for this!

The game is awesome!

🤞Who knows maybe now that time crisis 5 is playable on pc they’ll get extra motivation to fix the rest of the arcade versions of the series(2,3,4)🙂

It's needed especially for me 4 and Razing Storm someone came up with a script to make mouse work thus Lightgun work, but I tried it yesterday and had terrible results.

For me Time Crisis 5 with Lightgun support and PS4 getting 6.72 exploit would be about the only two good things that have happened in this horrible year. I hope it's true.  I also hope this experiment works with my EMS Top Gun 3.

TC2 Arcade version is the same as PS2 version.

You can play it with PCSX2, it's the only way if you haven't the real HW and the game for PS2.

Same for TC3.

For TC4 use RPCS3, it works well.

TC1 is running good on MAME :)

I play all series and I love them, no matter if it's Arcade or console porting, the feeling is the same!

Can't say TC4 works well unless it's working with a Lightgun IMO. To me if you're going to play a Lightgun game it has to be with a Lightgun not a controller or a mouse. They came up with a hacky way to get it to work with a Lightgun but I couldn't make it work.

I can understand you but for me it's good with gamepad too.

Graphics are the same for TC2 and TC3 on Arcade and PS2. That Arcade system was a fancy PS2 :)

Yes, TC Crisis Zone is also good, I like it.

Time Crisis Project Titan I played it on an emulator but didn't catch me.

Just tried with aimtrack lightgun the crosshair disappeared as I switched between the mouse and it even when it came back to the screen it went wild completely very strange cause on a lot of games it mimics the mouse movement perfectly

Need a little bit of your Mode 2 wiibar knowledge - Have got this working without any AHK's as well-but there is a cursor tremor when you have the cross hairs up - is this normal on mode 2?

Will do a video of mode 4 vs mode 2 so you can see the difference.

Tiberius I'm coriuos! What is the trick for use wiimote and mode2 dolphinbar?

from my whole experience, i never have any shaking effect with mode 2 (mouse mode with my wiimotes). *

but be aware that too much lights next your screen (sun or lights) this is an infra red system, so the wiimote camera could be affected by it.

on the other hand, if we use touchmote, we can experience this.

FYI: i have made some new tests with touchmote whith different combination (mouse-joystick-keyboard) ...

unfortunatelly, i was never able to control my mouse cursor correctly as in mode 2 .....

What is weird, it's this problem don't occurs when you are on the select stage screen at the begining ....

So the video didn't happen because I decided to write the how to guide - It is long and sarcastic so you have been warned - why is it sarcastic? Because people don't like to read things and ask questions that have already been asked so I am just making it very clear that it works for a Wiimote and it works here - I have done it 3 times from the start for each mode and each time it works - I have followed my own instructions and it worked - so if it doesn't work your end I don't know why.

I haven't uploaded any Pre-Done ini's as different people like different button selections and this way you can set it up how you like rather than having my choices forced upon you.

Enjoy the game

Sorry mate but you are clearly wrong about TC 2. TC 2 the arcade version is visually "inferior" to the PS 2 version. The arcade version was based on Namco System 23, which was released in 1997/1998 ( remember this quite well). Whereas the PS2 version (based on Namco System 257) is significantly powerful to Namco System 23. Hence the PS2 port received upgraded visuals.

You are right about systems and also about graphics ( quite the same apart light fxs and textures a bit more refinied ).

That from me was a quick reply without going into details.

Well if the PS2 versions are graphically superior, that's probably why we haven't and probably won't ever get the arcade versions. PCSX2 has Lightgun support if you use nuvee plugin.

I’ve seen the difference between the arcades and consoles version for me(and probably for a lot of people)the colors Look more vibrant more alive and if given the choice which one of them to play on pc most people will choose to play the arcade versions i think there’s still hope it’ll happen after all they r on the list so they will want to preserve them

That's Time Crisis 1 I don't think anyone was debating that Time Crisis 1 arcade is far superior graphics wise than the PS1 version. We are talking about Time Crisis 2 and 3 PS2 versions vs arcade versions.
