Hi my friend, do you have the latest .exe of the update 6? It seems the first update 6 makes to close/break/hangs the PC. The latest Steam exe fix this.

Nope I don't sorry. Not even sure what is the Volume 6, I have not seen it anywhere.

I understand your point and position, nevertheless, I've tried what you suggested some posts above, with .exe pushed by Gwyllion and it seems it doesn't work. The game doesn't launch, getting a black screen.

Could you please check from your side and expertise if you do succeed in patching the .exe from your side, and if so, just let me/us know ? If so, no need to post/share any .exe. Objective is just to know if what we need to patch is working or if it is me who has difficulties to apply it (what is highly probable ).

At least, that should help us all I guess.

The exe gwyllion shared does not have my patch, so if you are having a black screen it is because you have not installed the game properly.

 

1. Get the game to work without my patch

Je sais pas vous, mais avec un .bat et le logiciel rotate display toute les tables sont bien en vertical (bien mettre la définition verticale par ex 2160x3840 ou 1080x1920....)

Si il y en a d'intéressé, je posterais le .bat pour l'exemple.

Que c'est bon de retrouver les sensations des flips c'est bluffant

Je crois que je vais me faire mon propre flip avec dot, mais avant tout bien se renseigner car j'ai un peu vu tout et n'importe quoi

Great to see it works. At least, on your side. It doesn't from mine, despite several attempts, starting from scratch.

Would you be OK to :

- Share what versions you used ? Are they the one provided by Dave6722 above, from ElAmigos web site ? Or from elsewhere ?

- Detail step by step what you installed, and you did on your PC ? In my case, I've installed plaza-pinball.fx3.williams.pinball.volume.5 ISO (7.5GB), then Pinball FX3 update 10.12.2019 - 20.10.2020.exe patch. Firewall is disabled. Game is working well, all tables work, incl. Volume 6, but obviously all in landscape mode. I've patched pinballfx3.exe with instructions provided some threads above. I have then random behavior : Either the game is launching, I can launch tables but game could crash. Or I try to put any serial to have cabinet mode, and game crashed (as you confirmed) but when relaunching it, no change (landscape mode) and random crash (when game is launching). Really weird.

- Ideally, post somewhere modified .EXE you patched and works ?

 

Last, what do you mean by using rotate display soft ? Does it work to use it with PinballFX3 in landscape mode ? Does it launch it in cabinet mode ??

To be clear to all and copy to DUCON, the .exe shared is the last update with pack 6 from FX3 and works fine...although 50% of the times, hangs the pc too many times. But the other 50% of the time, works fine for me with the latests tables Funhouse, Space Station and Dr. Dude and with the patches shared by Ducon.

 

Zen, the creator of FX3 Pinball knew that and share a new update with Steam , a new .exe file. Obviously, not cracked yet...

 

Here you have the NEW .exe uncracked if anyone want to make our day better

you only need the patched .exe to register your cab, after that run the regular exe when you want to play!

Happy New Year !

I have to admit in my case it (almost) worked : I did succeed in patching original Vol 6 .exe with Ducon2016's hack. Cabinet mode is still working (from Vol 5 version) and I do have 3 new tables. But the game is pretty unstable and randomly crashes. I've tried to also do the following : Install Vol 6, patch it, run the patched .exe (it crashes but seems normal, according to Ducon2016) and then tried to run patched Vol6 or original one version, without any success. The game remains unstable.

@sylabre : Could you please share your Vol6 patched executable file please ? I would like to give it a try. Thanks in advance

If the game is unstable with the original version it means either the game has a problem, or your machine has a problem. It is not related to the patch, the patched exe should only be used ONCE to unlock the cabinet mode. So if your cabinet mode works but the game is unstable, it is game related. same problem since the installation of volume 6, pinball fx3 worked very well before the update, now it crashes and goes back to windows, sometimes it launches, and that for all the tables you have to restart it several times for it to work

OK, so, I'm not alone having troubles. And more or less the same one by the way.

Where did you get your Vol5 et Vol6 versions ? In my case, it was on ElAmigos website (not sure I can post the link here but let me know in DM if you want it). Same here, if people could share their versions/website, we could try & find what is working and what is not.

- tant que je lance les tables en ligne de commande (je passe par CoinOPS Next), pas de soucis j'ai le mode cabinet disponible

- par contre, si je lance Pinball FX3 directement, là ca enlève le mode cabinet ainsi que le mode ligne de commande via CoinOPS => est-ce normal?

Je pense qu' il faut les deux exe, celui patché renommé par exemple "Pinball FX3 patch.exe" et l'original, une fois le cabinet activé avec le patché, tu lances avec l'original

J'ai essayé mais en relançant avec l'original, ca m'a dégagé le mode cabinet... il n'y a qu'en utilisant la ligne de commande/ fichier.bat que cela fonctionne sans tout foutre en l'air :-)

Peut etre que ca peut marcher, j'ai eu aussi ce probleme, il me semble que je l'ai resolu en allant supprimer le dossier le dossier "442120" dans le dossier steam.  Si tu veux pas prendre de risques ,tu le coupe/colle ailleur. Tu relance l'exe patché, tu patch tu quites et ca devrait etre bon

Yeah me too I was wondering about the elusive cabinet mode for Pinball Arcade, especially since they lost the license for Bally Williams tables. The cabinet mode was also 150$US available officially until June 30th 2018. If someone can have access to this cabinet mode and make it work for everybody, that would be totally awesome!

This worked for me with "Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume 6 MULTi5-ElAmigos"! Thanks. It didn't work the first time I tried it, but it's because an account was linked in the settings (even though I never actually did that). Once I unlinked it, it worked fine.

English translation:

1. Backup the EXE
2. Find 45 F4 64 A3 00 00 00 00 8B F1 0F BE 86 F8 02 00 00 8D 9E F8 02 00 00 83 F8 07 0F 87 13 02 00 00 FF 24 in the EXE and replace 0F BE 86 F8 02 00 00 with B8 05 00 00 00 90 90. For me this was at offset 354B5A
3. Find 45 F4 64 A3 00 00 00 00 8B F9 8B 87 BC 00 00 00 83 F8 1F 0F 8F A7 03 00 00 0F 84 57 02 00 00 83 in the EXE and replace 8B 87 BC 00 00 00 with 31 C0 90 90 90 90. For me this was at offset 355A6A

After doing that, follow the steps in the original post:

1. Start Pinball FX3
2. Click the pinball table icon at the top
3. Enter any activation code. The game will hang with a looping sound

so somehow i managed to get 99 tables or up to volume 6 tables in pinball FX3 great! but i dont want to see the Codex 'Walter White'(breaking bad character) picture

Change . iv been enjoying the RLD! or reloaded version which is all me. but this has only 93 tables all up. but atleast it doesnt have this annoying picture.

I've been struggling with this for over 24 hours. Installed and re-installed at least 5 times now from the "Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume 6 MULTi5-ElAmigos" torrent with update patch, and follow the directions here exactly (for me the offsets were 354B50, 355A60). After I backup the exe, apply the hex-edit exactly as shown above (7 pairs on one, 6 pairs on the other), then enter the cab code and get the looping sound, as stated. From there, I'll relaunch from the unmodified exe, (in cab mode!) but it hangs up my computer at the first ESRB warning - no mouse movement, alt-F4 doesn't work, and I have to sign out or restart computer to exit.

 

I was unable to unlink my account because the app is not connected to internet, which I think may be the problem. I get a return error stating something along the lines of ("FX3 not connected to steam" or something like that - I'd have to re-install, *again*, to get a pic. Is there a way to unlink the account outside of the in-game settings/options? Perhaps by editing an INI or DLL file or something? I've poked around through a lot of editable files in the install directory and the save directory, but I just can't find it.

 

I have Pinball FX3 Vol 5 (PLAZA, I think) running in cab mode just fine and it launches individual tables in cab mode in frontend or from command line, but I really want those last 3 Bally/Williams tables to include in my PinballX frontend for completionism. (I have versions of Dr. Dude and Funhouse already in VPX, but PBFX3 brings a fun animated twist to them)

I managed to unlink account through trial and error - sorry I don't have notes, I think I set offline to 1 and changed username in INI file and waited for the crash, then set it back, after which I was prompted to link account or not upon launch - All the tables now show up (99/99) and it is in cab mode - I can launch from the native FX3 exe, but command line launch doesn't work - PinballX sits on it a minute, loads it for about a second, then exits back to table select screen. Not sure what the problem is now. This trick may unlock screen rotation but not command line launch. I have reverted to my vol 5 which still works fine.

i did this 4 weeks ago, I just kept my collection but added the tables even online works so i got 99 tables, but i must have done something by accident, this has never worked before

I created an account just to reply to this in case others have the same problem I did trying to unlink accounts.  A simple uninstall of pinball fx3 will not unlink your account as settings are saved in a folder that is not removed during an uninstall.

 

HOW TO UNLINK ACCOUNTS IN PINBALL FX3 (assumes you have the Vol5 CODEX release):

1. Uninstall the game

2. Delete the game data folder: %SystemDrive%\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\442120

(So replace %SystemDrive% with whatever your drive is.  Probably C:)

3. Just to be safe, look in your Documents directory for a Zen Studios folder and delete that as well

4. Reinstall the game.  Account should be unlinked.
