Not sure if this is the right spot but I recently acquired a Bishi Bashi Channel cab found this thread trying to set my game to English.

When I start a new game I can use the number pad to select english but then after the game ends, it kicks back to Japanese in attract mode.

 

I heard there is a way (assuming editing some files on the drive?) to make it default to English. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I searched around the .xml referenced in the first post but couldn't find it on the drive.

EDIT: IF YOUR GAME HAS NO SOUND AND DOESN'T WORK AFTER "RESULT", CHANGE THE DEFAULT PLAYBACK DEVICE IN WINDOWS "SOUND" MENU UNTIL YOU FIND ONE THAT WORKS.

I used to play this game before!! And it worked! But I downloaded from the first link! Once I downloaded from this new mirror, it doesn't work anymore after stage 1 and has no sound!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a spinner so I'm having a hard time playing some of the games.  I mapped the spinner controls to my joysticks. 

 

Has anyone had success in getting these games to work without a spinner or mapping them to a different type of controller that allows you to get the precise detail needed to play some of the spinner games (like the safe combination one)?  Or is there a way to remove certain games from the rotation so they don't come up?

Is there a way of setting this up so the keyboard escape key (and xbox select+start as an option for others) exits the game?

I'm on a cabinet with some special mapping software and can't get it working. I even have an AHK script that maps esc to alt-f4, but that doesn't seem to work, even though pressing alt-f4 on a physical keyboard does work to close it

Does anyone know of a usb plug in spinner that works or a box for mounting a SpinTrak Spinner that would work well?  I don't have spinners on my panel and don't want to cut into it, so I'm looking for external spinners that I can just plug in when I play a game that needs spinner controllers.

I am used to being able to change the WASAPI and ASIO, etc. settings in other Bemani games that use SpiceTools such as IIDX, SDVX, etc and am able to successfully record gameplay audio and video with OBS - so, this isn't my first rodeo.  HOWEVER, i can't seem to get Bishi Bashi Channel to record audio AT ALL - no matter what program I use or no mater what audio settings I use.....  Has anyone figured this one out?

Usage:

This release will require the latest 64-bit SpiceTools (02/04/2020 at the time of writing) in order to play, simply drag and drop both spice64.exe and spice.cfg into the contents folder (NOT MODULES!), add your desired parameters such as -ea to remove a network error if not connected to a network, and enjoy the game!

To change regions, simply change the region to the desired one in ea3-config.xml, run the game and it should exit. Then, copy everything (do not cut) in prop/defaults to dev/nvram and run the game againit should start with the new region accordingly!

Thanks a lot for this clean dump! This is probably one of the most easiest game to setup and plug-and-play style. Too bad there's no known ea-server that support it, yet.

Great game!!!

But I have one graphic problem. Appears lot of withe lines on the screen...I tried to change graphic configurations with F4 menú, but I'can't solve. Maybe is the resolution? mine is 1600x1200, because I tryied the game in another pc and It works well on 1280x720.

Someone has a idea to fix it?

Is there anyway to keep the volume under control? It will just go full blast at whatever volume my speaker is physically set to, bypassing both Windows controls as well as the internal arcade settings. Tried both spicetools and spice2x but the audio hooks doesn't seem to work either

I have no sound. I changed the default sound options in Windows.  Didn't see any sound choices in spicetools.  Was anybody else able to get the sound working?
