[Arcade PC] Platoon (LaserDisc)

hello mate sorry to bother you, i am getting this problem after i followed your guide.

i downloaded the 1st part and extracted it, and have these files (see platoon 1 pic)

i downloaded the 2nd part and extracted it and have these files (see platoon update pic)

now this is what i have in both seprate folders, i then copy and paste contents (see pic folder contents)

and overrighting these files (see pic overight files)

this is what i get (see pic this is what i get)

 

 

this is what i end up with daphne saying cant find these files then fails to initalize video , am i missing somthing or directory not setup? thanks

thanks mate , i think the problem was i needed the rest of daphne singe to run it, i playing it now thanks for this ,i have been looking for this for years. i gonna play star blazers next which is ainother laserdisc game i been looking for years.thanks for your hard work

Plus, and playables, three more levels not planned for release but recorded on LD ;-)

 

There are three versions:

  platoon_skey                    game with one key per event

  platoon_mkeys                 game with multiple keys per event (only from HIGH difficulty)

  platoon_mouse                 game with mouse/light gun (only from HIGH difficulty) --RELOAD by shooting the lower part of screen --- pay attention to timing ;-)

Thanks for all the hard work on this... cross hairs working, shooting is tricky but gets the job done. Nice addition to American laser games collection!

The game was a prototype and the videos (scenes) were not ready to release, if I made the target system more precise (easy to do) the game would be really too easy. The idea was to make an easy game with the score proportional with the speed of exact shooting, I decided to make the shooting tricky but the score independent from speed.

Would there be anyway to make one more batch file for the reload to be the second mouse button rather than shooting at the bottom of the screen to reload?

Yes, easy to do, but, trust me, the game would be too easy.

Probably you haven't the daphne/singe program.... you must download it from the arcade pc daphne/singe set thread :-)... and put it in the platoon main folder

Crosshairs must be visible... Do you have loaded the archive before the last modify? It's not possible to hide crosshairs... of course if you haven't changed the folder's structure, but even in this situation it should give an error message.

Have you changed samething in the configuration?

The game crash after stage 6,someone as the same issue or knows how to fix it?

I tired even removing -opengl in the .bat,it's the same.
