PACBRCADE MOD - Pac-Man Battle Royale Arcade mod from PC Version

Hey guys,

For those that are fans of the Pac-Man series, the arcade version of the Battle Royale port is probably the best but seeing an arcade dump is not currently available, there is now a way to modify the PC version into the arcade version thanks to some modders.

Info

This is a mod for having a Pacman BattleRoyale game that is like it's arcade version. Based on Pacman Museum (PC version).

This mod consists of a few things:

• A d3d9.dll proxy that does some modifications to the game: bezel removal, 180 degree rotation of players 3 and 4, hiding the boot menus, and checking for some dialog boxes to bypass (thanks Michael Koch for your tutorial).

• x360ce (that adds xinput1_3.dll) for using other input devices than xbox360 controllers ones (or any usb hid interface for controls)

• An AutoHotKey script (RUNME.ahk / RUNME.exe) that automatically goes into the game without anything to do (simulates key press to select game in menu), that mutes sound when doing this, and that press player1's A button when "game saved" popup is here (but hidden by d3d9.dll proxy).

The official Pacman BattleRoyale cocktail game cabinet uses namco system 147 hardware which is based on Playstation 2 hardware, and uses a 32" screen at 1280x720 resolution.

Usage:

• Buy 4 usb SNES controllers from china on ebay (should be 3$ each with shipping)
• Extract the latest PACBRCADE release archive to your Pacman Museum installation folder.
• Configure all 4 players inputs (with x360ce.exe): each player needs up, down, left, right and A button (A button is used as start button ingame)
• Configure player 1 X and B buttons: X opens config menu (for setting round number, speed, etc) (menu works only during title screen) and B button exits this menu
• Run using RUNME.exe (which is the compiled RUNME.ahk script)

Non-rotated version (aka Deluxe (upright) version):

• rename d3d9-norotate.dll to d3d9.dll
• rename loading-norotate.png to loading.png

Known bugs / todo:

• Find a way to open the service menu: if you use a disassembler on PACMuseum.exe, you will see that the arcade menu stuff is in here. I don't know how to do this.
• Sometimes you may get an achievement when launching pacman museum, stopping the auto selection of the game. You will then have to navigate in the menus to launch BattleRoyale with player 1 controls.
• If you have multiple screens, this may crash at launch !

tested, work fine during the first game, and crash when the first game ending :

tested on win10, acer predator with 1080 :(

i try to reboot, restart the game, reinstall, same prob on 20 try, when i try to play with a non patched, it work :/

Bizarre. Je regarderai tout a l'heure. J'y ai joue pendant des heures avec mon fils sans aucun probleme. Qu'est-ce qui se passe si tu cliques ignorer?

Ok j'ai reussi a reproduire le probleme, je confirme que PacBRArcade creait des problemes. J'ai mis a jour mon patch pour ne plus avoir besoin de PacBRArcade. Vire d3d9.dll et l'image il n'y en a plus besoin. Applique le nouveau patch.

The links are nothing but pop ups and redirects that cause my malware scanner to go nuts. I don't understand why the OP just couldn't have posted a direct download ink instead of having to deal with pop ups and redirects.

 

BTW, this is what I get with the decode. It's just garble.

You did not follow my directions. I told you to only keep the text AFTER url=and BEFORE &type=2

I just tried and the last link (MegaUp) works. So follow the steps I explained.

MegaUp doesn't work either. It gives the option to create a download link, but it goes through several pop ups and redirects until finally allowing a download of a 24.5mb files.

Use a popup blocker, I use PopUpOff and https://webextension.org/listing/popup-blocker.html

with Firefox and the links work and download. You might need to click a few times to get the right download.

 

Bottom line, free stuff needs to jump over hurdles but it is free. You can also buy the game on steam when it is on promo it is cheap.

Because I am confident you can do it. And when you will have figured it out, you will be able to download more things on your own. Only thing I can confirm is the megaup link works 100%, so you are not wasting your time.

 

Also the game is available in many other places if you really cannot make this one work, I verified it is available on https://g4u.to/

and on https://igg-games.com I suspect you will need popup blockers for those too, and as usual some links need to be clicked up to 5 times until you get the real link.

the megaup link from the page from first link works just fine with the popup blocker ducon2016 said to use.  at least try to put in the work just a bit yourself, instead of begging others to make everything easy & spoon fed.

I've tried MegaUp and I get the blue Create Download link, but after several site redirects, the downloadable file I get is the one in the screenshot. And for browsers, I've tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge on my laptop and I've tried it on my phone using Chrome and Firefox.

If you use the popup blockers I mentioned this is what you get. If it changes the page to an ad, just hit the back button and click create download link again until it works.
