I've said it enough already. If you are not patient, you have to quit Emuline and never come back here.
Those who keep asking when the dumps will be here, will be banned as well as deleted posts, and those who go off topic are the same.
Be patient and stop asking the same questions over and over again. Dumps will be available when donors want to share them. that's all.
We're not here to deal with kids who can't wait...

I've had a couple of PMs from people who got ES3X units from Japan that have issues launching the game, so will at least to help those people out am uploading the files I created which use Attract Mode with a simple menu and JVS I compiled into a launcher, which form the bases of the various multi's on the net, in order to help those people out. I'll update this with a mega link shortly.  To keep the games as authentic as possible, I _only_ patched out the dongle protection, everything is using original hardware. For a vanilla PC version, I could update them via DLL injection to accept keyboard inputs for controls etc, but not highly motivated with it all lately as time is an issue.

For some I guess that might be driving what appears to be blatant begging: the fact they have outlayed a lot of money for something that does nothing for them lol

For my own personal multi I use File-Based Write Filter (FBWF) patched into Win 7 professional as that's the closest one can get to the Arcade OS (I tried modifying the original Windows 7 Embedded from a dump but it's so locked down with so many Group Policies, that it's an exercise in futility to modify).

For people with dead ES3X images, the good news is that you can literally just install windows and NVidia drivers on the ES3X (No magic BIOS passwords to worry about, and unlike the TTX3 it's not fussy about what GPU you run, and I threw a 1660 super in one of mine). Then just throw on the T7 image and off you go, no longer you will have a dead weight from Japan. Just need to set the windows shell to the C:/am/tekken.exe which coded that launches attract mode and uses some crude JVS comms code. Eventually I want to make this work via DLL injection, so that you can return back to the attract mode menu. It will be worth expanding to an ES3 multi of sorts, as I am not sure how many people will really care about anything beyond the latest version. This archive doesn't include 4.20 as it's not public yet, but it's enough to get people going if they really need to in the interim. Anyone who has dumps not in the multi can feel free to pass them on and I can patch out the dongle protections (I usually use Ghidra for reverse engineering).

It would be good if we can create some sort of wiki. I want to look into why someone mentioned they can't change difficulty levels for some reason.

@zetsurinis a very awesome bro and his multi has definitely been a huge blessing for me, I have also made a modified version of his multi using Windows 10 Enterprise IOT LTSC 2021 just as an experiment. I’ve also written a post on my findings messing around with the Namco System ES3 here:https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/namco-system-es3-teardown-and-some-basic-info.22930/

I’ve also been messing around the games files and have discovered a few cool things and have access to a decrypted ES3 OS image and also been playing around with it.

@zetsurin I would absolutely love to continue working on this multi project if you don’t mind ;)

The difficulty setting will be stored in the C:\Perforce files. As an interim resort if we can work out the format of that data a strategic hex edit can probably change the difficulty. Not as ideal as modifying it via the test menu but might be useful for some lower frustration gaming sessions lol

Oh yeah please do! Back to that point about people begging, I think there is a perception in the community that people are hoarding "their stuff", but in reality it does take a lot of work to convert something from personal use (aka "works well enough for me") to "public consumption" and people seem to take it to mean that everyone is just keeping their stash to themselves.

On that note to people on emuline: this isn't arcade-projects where the mods hoard things so that they can privately charge you hundreds of dollars for their dumps, there are many other explanable reasons why things don't make it to the public 😄

Yeah, I’ve been messing around with the files and figured out how to change the region and set the games to true offline, sometimes the test menu changes around and adds/removes some stuff. I still haven’t figured out how to add the difficulty selector but I feel like I’m getting close. On the original arcade OS, the perforce data would be stored in two different partitions :Data 0 and Data1. Kinda interesting that in normal windows 7 and 10 the data would get stored in the C partition. As for other stuff, I also changed around some optimization settings as each game behaves differently, especially Tekken 7 vanilla.

Yeah the original is comprised of so many damn partitions. I think they basically are just forming virtual overlays and the game is really acting the same way in all cases as those other partitions are probably all just mapped into the one big virtual drive. It's likely what makes it resilient to being switched off without corrupting the windows partition.

Yep, the C partition would be completely protected using the Enhanced write filter while the other partitions would be set to dirty using FSUTIL.

Hi all, I’ve been doing some research/experimenting with the game dumps and found some very interesting things. Before I share what I have found, please don’t ask me anything about Tekken 7 R2 4.XX, the time will come when I finish doing some more work on that version of the game. I will be talking about Tekken 7 vanilla as it’s the game dump I’ve been experimenting with the most, and some stuff about a Windows 10 version of my own multi, but I won’t go into specifics about that as I might make a thread about it.

anyway, you all have seen that it was indeed possible to change the region and language of the games easily with a few edits in the game files, well I’ve discovered some interesting stuff lately. I did mention that I have access to a dump of the full ES3 Windows Embedded Standard 7 software and I’ve been using some of its scripts to make a custom modified version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC IOT image for the game. Well, the games and the scripts, with some heavy editing, work just like the ES3 image, which is pretty cool! The scripts now function and all the programs like the AMUpdater open and function, this is what I used for my custom multi for real hardware and the games play super well! Here’s a pic of the AMUpdater working on Windows 10 below, I’ve changed the background color to black for my own purposes but the blue background can be put back.754F52FF-42E9-4937-BACC-305FAD177294.jpeg.e958ca7dc65ad99176315029fa06ad44.jpegCE0F440E-0EA3-449A-9495-DDB5A7AFD5C5.jpeg.1fe720829b8e950c77a43742ce6f3947.jpeg

I’ve also somehow got this version of Vanilla to finally work, it’s the version with all the characters and now all sections are selectable8196B458-6A80-4940-A3E9-61BFD043B9BF.jpeg.49332372e2555b9c75e347493f74e4f8.jpegC39298C3-05CD-4397-807B-B8B3E69CDFFE.jpeg.9c239c6ea687fe17beb15ff665c8ae7f.jpeg

I will need some help by trying to patch out the error codes as if I try to boot the game in any other region other than Japanese, the game will throw up a “21-4 First Check Error”. I’ve learned that by suppressing the errors, you can boot it in any region, looks like the problem is that the ALL.NET files are region locked or something which is preventing me from booting in any other regions other than Japan. Hopefully you guys can help me to get this version playable for the community.

EDIT: JAN 24,2021, nvm, I finally figured it all out…

Hey guys, it’s me again, but this time I come to ask for help again. I still would absolutely love to dump and share my 4.20 and my recently received FR version 20.03 however, I still don’t have a clue where to start. I’m not asking for anything other than some help dumping them for you guys to have and enjoy. With the new Emuline now established, new stuff shall come this year and I would still love to contribute. So, what do you guys say? In other words, I need help delivering the goods and you guys do your magic! ;)

I know I should probably make a new thread about this but I think it will also fit here, so, this is my version of the Tekken 7 multi for ES3 systems. Features down below:

New updates:

Révélation

-Added a new custom splash screen before booting into the frontend (will be set to 1280X720 for final version SPLASH ONLY)
-Changed the region/language to all the games
-All games set to OFFLINE
-Rewrote most of my scripts to fix bugs
-Added Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2 Update 2 to the games list
-Changed/fixed most of the games’ config files for better performance/optimization.

Original Namco System ES3 PC specs:
SuperMicro C7B75 motherboard
Intel Core i5-3550s 3.0GHz processor
NVIDIA GTX 760 GPU 2GB model
8GB of DDR3 RAM (Dual channel 2x4GB)

Multi features:
OS: Windows 10 IOT Enterprise LTSC 2021
Auto video resolution switching
Custom PowerShell scripts (.PS1) to boot the multi and apply additional system settings
Removed Windows 10 branding and Error reporting
SSD/HDD 😄 partition protected using Unified Write Filter
😧 and H: partitions has been set to dirty using fsutil to protect/maintain the game drive
And much more!!!

Inspired by the Namco system BNA1 software which boots in a similar way. Also uses Windows 10 IOT LTSC

This is definitely one piece of software I’m very happy to have worked on and more updates will follow, if I do end up dumping my remaining drives…

Video captured footage of the multi running, all captured on real stock Namco System ES3 hardware:

No need for the firewire card or removing memory.
You need the ice stick with the right connector at the other end.
A clean connector on the ES3 motherboard and a linux pc with the tools installed.
And knowing what you need to do and how to do it to get it done.
There is a well written page out there about the ES3 security, you can find it through google.
Once you follow that page, you should be able to do it yourself.

Is it possible to play the Arcade Mode with this Vanilla version or is just the training mode?

Afaik, network needs to be in 192.168.138.xxx range

When using JConfig, we can play games such as "Tekken 7", "Ultra Street Fighter 4" and "Pokkén Tournament" with 2 people over the network with the address 192.168.138.x.
