I changed from JAA to UAA but the "ONLINE" comes out superimposed between the letters of credits or free play
what is this about?

When I changed the “FREE PLAY” setting in Coin Options to on, the “ONLINE” text is in the usual position and not obstructing the “FREE PLAY” text as seen here:

 

The only part where the “ONLINE” test goes out of whack is if you have “FREE PLAY” turned off, which is what happened in your case.

 

When DDR 2014 came out to the US, it was in a location test state, and if the machines weren’t on “FREE PLAY”, the “ONLINE” text goes out of whack. This is seen through the attract mode of DDR 2014 in this video (it has the 2015 update, but we also have the same version. The “ONLINE” text should be on the bottom right of the CRT as seen on the attract mode):

Other than that, it has no major effects on gameplay.

Then I got to some menus which are english (partially).

I didn't know there was an english version of this until now.

Cool! I wish there was a proper English patch to translate the rest of the UI to English...

I changed this part in the "ea3-config.xml" file (changed EUC-JP to EUC-US):

 

But it unfortuantely didn't make any difference at all:

 

There's still Japanese text in later menus and on the "SELECT STYLE" screen (pictured above).

There's no such language setting in the game options in DDR 2014. Only DDR A onwards has that setting.

So far, only Japanese was available for language selection, which is why you don’t see it in the Game Options in DDR 2014.

But I know there’s gotta be an English language in the game somewhere…

that build of DDR2014 yes or if it asks for internet connection even if you use localhost

so i can't play offline? just checking since we can play ddr a and a20 offline by using the ea local server

try to make a local network point, so that DDR2014 thinks it is connected to the internet and Neutrino

you will not be able to use card

I found a way to get it on local mode

 

go to the network settings and Press factory settings and it will turn off E-amusement

That option does not work for me, I have already tried several times, it does not let me turn off the E-amusement to put it in local mode.

Hello. I know that there's an option to turn eamuse off, at least in this download (mine won't turn off but maybe it's also because i downloaded it somewhere else; same situation witb synthspc) but does this game work with asphyxia? Someone asked it before but no one updated in that post

 

Edit: i downloaded this one in mega. What synthspc experienced also happened to me. I cant play the game even if eamusement is set to off and network is indicated as "pass". Any help?

 

Side note, files are really large and im struggling to download. I had to get some of the movies, ssq, xwb and xsb files from ddr 2013 (which also doesnt work) though i doubt this is the cause

 

I got it to work. right now, i have two concerns.

1. how do i hack in the removed u.m.u. songs?

2. the bemanipatcher has no option to fix the arrows. in my game, the arrows are transparent. how do i fix that?

I'm sorry for bringing this topic back to life, but in the past fews days i was messing around with this release of DDR 2014 and on the patcher (https://mon.im/bemanipatcher/) there is actually no way to patch the grey/transparent arrow for nvidia card.

Anyone know how to fix this? It was patchable in the x, x2, x3, 2013 version...

I´ve problems when starting DDR 14. During the start up check the program counts till 16 and then crashes. I´ve used spicetools and gamestart.bat

ATTENTION!!

One of the arcades in Japan have announced the old DDR Machines (CRT's) will no longer be supported from April 1st 2024.

The new version of DDR will only support UNIANA machines (White Cabs), Black Chasis (Japanese X Cabs) and 20th Anniversary Models (Gold Cabs).

So if anyone has one of those CRT's machines, better start upgrading that screen to HD. SD will no longer be in the new version of DDR.

Does anyone have a version of 2014 that includes all the UmU licenses and X2 ones. Or has that never been dumped. Or is it just lost media.
