One can NOT update the version from page 1 to version 2020020300 !

It will break the game !

Check foldername of the page 1 version,  2019042200 !

Not updateable to version 2020020300 because it is version 2019042200 and the update needs at least version 2019080200

As far as i can tell, still missing 3 videos or even more songs ?

Ah well I have that version and it works.

By the way I have it set up to U:K:A instead of A:A:A/J:A:A and even though that combination was for Local Mode, I could switch eamusement back on in the service menu on this build and have an e-amuse capable US version (for some reason even Paseli works with Butterfly)

In regards to the Data 2019090300 with the 20200203 patch - Has anyone figured out any method, using a local server or otherwise, to save scores/lamps after a session is over and you log back in to your "e amuse" account? Running on A20 blue?

The Japanese version. It says 2019090300, but the folder name is 2019042200.

And the update needs at least version 20190802.

Not even sure if it will work on the English version 

 

Backing both versions up to try the 20200203 update patch

 

OK tested it !!

On the English version 73 files are overwritten, and works fine !

On the Japanese version only 19 files are overwritten, and that is the one that crashes when one pushes start (green button)

I did not overwrite spice.exe, spicecfg.exe or use the included start_game_ealocal.bat

 

Now to compare both folders and figure out the differences !

Arkdata folder has differences and also in conf folder (not sure if crucial)

 

" English version" always existed on DDR A you know, just change the region to A:A:A on Ace or A20 to have english language. (with the selector you have to do it via service menu)

Standard Butterfly Server v1.1.0:

. Lamp Progression to Unlock Extra Stage is working

. Personal Hi-Scores gets deleted when re-booting the game

 

Butterfly Server Fork Build:

. Extra Stage is always available on each playthrough. All Stage Grades on Maniac Difficulty must not get below A to be able to play the Extra Stage. Get AA on Extra Stage to play Extra Encore Stage.

. Personal Hi-Scores doesn't get deleted when re-booting the game.

Not a laptop issue, otherwise I wouldn't be running this game. Hate to be blunt, but please think about my issues before you conclude with "this is obviously a laptop issue." You basically sound like you have no clue on figuring out my issues when your instruction was already followed in the first place.

 

Might need vinson77 just so I can actually try to figure out why these issues exist.

So it turns out the crash occurs after the eamuse logout screen (after I finish 3 songs for the set). The temporarily solution I could do is I can go to the operator service menu to reset by clicking game mode/event mode again so I can keep playing.

 

The crash also occur when I try to change certain settings in service operator menu. After the Now Saving screen, the game crashed and the setting isn't actually saving.

 

I think it has something to do with testmode-v, but if I delete the nvram folder from contents/conf, then I will get this issue from the log:

Also I can't tweak the testmode-v.xml file itself otherwise it will give me a test mode -> NG when I try to boot up. Do you think there's a solution where I can be able to save the settings without having the crash to occur in-game? Because the in-game settings only work once the Now Saving screen return back to the service operator menu. I'm not worrying about personal scores not saving (I can look at the leaderboard and know my scores are there in machine/area/world by the way).

It might be the version of your Spice Tools that's causing the issue. I have encountered a Spice Tools iteration that stays on the Maintenance Mode no matter how many configurations I have already changed on its config file nor its batch file.

 

Try launching the game via Bemani Tools launcher.exe.

 

Create a new gamestart-16.bat file containing these texts:

I'm trying to turn Free play off so I can make attempt to get the extra stage part in, but with the free play forced on, I am only limited to 3 songs.

 

The settings didn't change, so I'm trying to figure out why.

 

I don't think spicetool has something to do with this for now, and yes I'm using bemanitools.

Alright then, can i ask you to re-download the files, delete the A20 you currently have and restart your computer. Use spicetools and don't change anything in the contents folder except spicecfg.exe (run that file in Win8 mode via troubleshoot compatibility only). Follow the instructions once again, i know it's a pain to do it but this is the version that got everything working for me and a couple of ppl. I want the same for you but yours is not working right now especially with bemanitools. We will find a way regardless how long it will be.

 

Can i ask, did you also right-click and troubleshoot compatibility on spice.exe? This will eventually stop spicetools from opening the game. (This is from your log you sent to me)

What's new:

• Tables for events are already added. Whenever you start your coin, it will announce some new songs added.
• This version looks for the database "butterfly.sqlite" at the same directory where it's being executed. So the bat only needs the command java -jar Butterfly.jar.
• The DB included comes from zero, but it's different from the one that the JAR generates. DDR A20 will always fail to connect to EA if you don't use the DB inside the rar.
• It's saving scores. At least, the score for ΩVERSOUL during my play was saved. And it shows Dan progress in the card screen, @polivosm
• 1st to 8th Dan available. Maybe Polivosm can lead us into Golden League and other 9th Dan, 10th Dan and Kaiden.
• ^^^ (1st to 8th Dan Available -- This is not working on my end. One Eternal Ash also confirms that he is also having trouble with this.)
• Sometimes it says that the card save was unsuccessful but I haven't had a problem with that. All data has been perfectly saved.
• Added an icon I made a long time ago because I thought it looks nice as the icon for a shortcut to the bat.

I tried this and it works fine. It saves scores normally.

 

Now I want to try the Dan Courses, but i think it's only available for A20 Golden Version (I'm using the Blue Version from the most recent update of One Eternal Ash).

 

Is there a way to change to the Golden Version compatible with that update? I guess that I must change the gamemdx.dll, but I don't know how to do it. Or if someone can provide me that file with the change, it would be very helpful.

• Anti-Virus enabled?: NOD32 v13.1.21.0 enabled.

I have extracted the contents of this archive to my copy, (deleted my existing NVRAM folder, created a new card.txt) and followed your instructions on page 10. Suddenly the Courses Tab is nowhere to be found... (disable Free on 1st Play inside Coin Mode)

What I did:

1. extracted the contents of the Butterfly Server Custom Fork on the "Desktop".

   (make sure that you overwrite the existing instance of your old butterfly.sqlite. using the old one will break scores saving functionality and dan courses unlock)

2. deleted my NVRAM Folder

3. extracted the contents from the archive that FeelTheXtasy had shared

4. cleared any card association on the spicecfg.exe

5. run the included gamestart.bat only once and setup necessary settings like Clock, disabling the Free on 1st Play option inside Coin Mode, etc.

6. exit the game

7. created a new card0.text (this is very important - using an old one doesn't guarantee you that your scores will be saved)

8. make a shortcut to your desktop of spice.exe.
9. open the new shortcut properties and edit it like this in the TARGET line: <DDR A20 Folder>\contents\spice.exe -netfixdisable -io -ddr -h 33554432 arkmdxp3.dll

10. "disable any anti-virus" as it affects the Butterfly Server writing capabilities

      (trust me on this one. I struggled for more than a week in resolving my Dan Courses unlock issue)

11. run the butterfly server bat

12. run spice.exe shortcut on the desktop

Okay, so I re-downloaded the files, followed the instruction yet again, spicetool is opening up as working, game is opening up just fine BUT the in-game setting is still not saving as it crash after Now Saving screen.

 

I think it has something to do with this issue: [2020/05/20 12:13:25] F:saveTestModeValueXML: testmode : save file failed.

 

I attached the log.

 

CCleaner didn't really help me that much either even though I actually use it for registry fix.

 

Did I also right-click and troubleshoot compatibility on spice.exe? No, I just troubleshoot compatibility on spiceconfig.exe.

Disable anti-virus and try to run. It is a known issue that a couple of anti-virus programs affects the processing of games.

 

I have just solved my issue regarding saving my personal scores permanently and unlocking the Dan Courses.

 

Butterfly Server write capabilities to butterfly.sqlite were being blocked by my anti-virus. Thus, an error "Database is locked" keeps on showing up on my butterfly server logs.

 

Refer to this guide on how I resolved my week long Dan Courses unlock issue:

Just some corrections:
Step 1-. I wrote in the Butterfly "New Build" post that you needed to use the butterfly.sqlite that comes inside the rar. Otherwise, it won't work.

Step 2-. I'm not sure if that does something actually, but I'm ok with this.

Step 3-. I don't really know if that made any change for what you needed, but I'm ok with this too lol
Step 4-. Unnecessary. All you need to know is any e-Amusement card starts with E004 and 12 more numbers or A-to-F characters so you can always use your old card0.txt 'cause it's only 16 digits/characters for your "eA ID".
Step 5 & 6-. Totally necessary if it's your first run. If you wanna play the Dan courses or Nonstop courses, you have to change from Free Play to Coin Mode.

Step 7-. Unnecessary. card0.txt only hold your "Card ID". if you're using a new database, then it doesn't matter what card you're using. If you're using an old one, you didn't read sh*t in this post and you deserve to not run it haha.

Step 8 & 9-. Totally fine if you don't wanna be running a bat file everytime you wanna play.

Step 10-. Please, @vinson77, share with us what antivirus are you using. I never had any problem with NOD32 and Avast (In another laptop). Never knew of an antivirus that blocked writing to a local database from a local client.

Step 11 & 12-. Most important thing around if you wanna play this data lol.

Okay, so I re-downloaded the files, followed the instruction yet again, spicetool is opening up as working, game is opening up just fine BUT the in-game setting is still not saving as it crash after Now Saving screen.

 

I think it has something to do with this issue: [2020/05/20 12:13:25] F:saveTestModeValueXML: testmode : save file failed.

 

I attached the log.

 

CCleaner didn't really help me that much either even though I actually use it for registry fix.

 

Did I also right-click and troubleshoot compatibility on spice.exe? No, I just troubleshoot compatibility on spiceconfig.exe.

1-. Just to be sure, replace your DDR A20 Folder DLLs and prop folder with the ones I shared a while ago: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8g1mnaerhrav9jz/2020040300-contents.rar/file

1-. Go to your DDR A20 Folder properties and check "Read-only".

2-. Apply the changes. Include sub-folders and all files in that folder.

3-. When it's done, go to DDR A20 Folder properties and uncheck "Read-only".
4-. Apply the changes. Include sub-folders and all files in that folder.

5-. Open Butterfly and check it's running fine.

6-. Delete 'nvram' and 'raw' folder inside 'conf' folder.

7-. Go to the DDR A20 Folder and run gamestart.bat.

8-. If it works, change free play for coin mode in the test menu.

9-. Report back here!

Step 11 & 12-. Most important thing around if you wanna play this data lol.

I have tried using a fresh copy of butterfly.sqlite from your archive everytime that I attempted to fix my issue. I still have the Dan Courses unlock issue. It might also be the placement of the buttefly server on the desktop and my anti-virus blocking the butterfly.jar writing capabilities (it broke the database for some reason. Thus I need to restart from a fresh copy of the butterfly.sqlite earlier).

That issue is pretty much the problem for me still. I don't know if Norton 360 program was an issue because I actually disabled it to run this game (or at least have this program excluded from Norton)

Adding the game on your anti-virus exclusion list is not an option. I have added butterfly.jar, butterfly.sqlite, and butterfly gamestart.bat on my anti-virus exclusion list. The anti-virus still blocked it and caused me a lot of headaches for more than a week.

Turns out it was a firewall issue that prevent the save file to process. I had to remove Norton temporarily and allow firewall access and the setting is starting to work.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone figured out what happened to some of the missing charts in the current build? I'm thinking Tiger Rampage CSP, but I know that's not all that's missing.

Hi, I'm a bit new to this. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I did everything exactly as how you explained it from your post last saturday.

I've attached my log file just in case.

 

Basically the issue is... It's not booting up at all after running the "gamestart-spice.bat". It does open up a window as if it was trying to fullscreen but it crashes immediately.
