[TUTO] Darius Burst - Another Chronicle, How to play with Teknoparrot - Gameloader All RH and /or Jconfig.

This one is easy to install, but before the instructions "disappears" in the TeknoParrot thread, here some instructions.

First try to run the game in Teknoparrot 1.0.0.xxx, a clean dump with no editing in the init.ini file, not yet.

If that does not work for you, you can try it with to edit the init.ini file

Or you can try to load it with GameLoader All RH and JConfig.

(I only tried with TeknoParrot, works fine for me at the correct aspect ratio)

 

Would this be the correct monitor to play Darius Burst Another Chronicle ?

I personally leave the game at the correct aspect ratio.

 

A bezel for the game to use in Gameloader All RH.

Check bezel image enable, on tab other 3, and choose the picture.

NOTE: 2nd screen is not inverted, truly epic achievement by Nezarn. Best things come first in TeknoParrot as always!

Just change the fourth line in the ini as shown in latest TP release notes from 0 to 1

And add the resolution as a custom resolution in your video card's control panel.

Or another option is to run it through GameLoader All RH.

Check the latest release notes it has a video showing how to set it up on one screen or dual screen.

REPORT:

I did some quick tests, here what's going on...

- TP enables online features and that's pretty neat, working!

- To display the game properly in fullscreen you have to create a custom resolution on your nvidia (or else brand) panel settings

if not you're gonna see nothing but a white screen, the game in fullscreen mode doesn't reach the whole horizontal length,

it's probably 2600px out of 2720... 

- credits feature works properly!

- the game is a blast!

 

Audio does NOT work at the moment. (1.0.0.122)

 

A solution for the audio problem is posted on the TeknoParrot wiki

It says "7 days ago" but it has the "Fixed sound in Darius Burst oops" fix.

Turtorial, How to Darius Burst with Jconfig.

It works fine with Jconfig (needs txac.key)

Use version 1.7(+) from here:

Open iDmacXv1.7_2019_04_10.rar, inside the folder misc you will find, DariusBurst.rar

It takes you a few moments to read, but it took me a while to figure it out.

When you get the game working, thanks to this "manual", please give a thanks at this post.

And a BIG thanks for the people who originally uploaded the games, we all can enjoy (if you do it right) !!!

And of course all the people involved in, the game loaders and JVS I/O emulation applications we use, and all the people I "forgot".

Ok, then TP has a problem... and did you try it only with jconfig?   

i tested it as well but what i get it's just a white screen, with allrh instead, it boots with an I/O error and the second screen flipped upside down...

a troll from 1cc was bubbling something about being able to boot with jconfig 2... probably that's the way at the moment... will try later...

my conclusion is that those 1cc trolls talking about being able to play it stand alone are just trolling as usually, so far only TP is capable to boot it properly... yup.. patience...amazing virtue!

As you said, a TeknoParrot update could solve this probably.

No matter, eventually it will work fine, patience.

First, of all it boots with Jconfig (needs txac.key) located in the jconfig, there is something called a readme?, then also you need to edit the ini with proper values.

Thanks for the info but we already fixed it with TP yesterday... plus TP enables the online feature which gives you an extra play mode with tons of stuff...

Jconfig has been running Darius Burst for 2-3 years, so when TP was adding support, JConfig already ran it. It's only now the author decided to release the game. We do not shit on TeknoParrot at all, but still be grateful you even get alternatives ways to play arcade games, other than one.

Hey Safur, 2720x768 seems to be the base standard resolution for this game, if you wanna use a lower one i think you need ALLRH, just edit the internal resolution, DJExpert left yesterday a video tutorial...

PS.

you need to create a custom res from the GPU settings.

is the offical ones, if you wanna play with fullscreen you have to come up with a custom resolution in AMD and Nvidia driver tool I saw someone that were using 1080 instead of 768, you can just edit the ini and do not need gameloader rh.

 

Can look something like this in init.ini then just run the game.exe

1. When I turn on JVS, all my buttons can be used, but the second screen is reversed.
2. When I turn off JVS, I only have 1 to 4P START button to use, but the screen is normal.
