great. only just got this yesterday, great work on it.  But are we ever gonna have 'Engrish'  voice overs?     still the english translations improvements  are good all the same once again  😐

Not really, just waiting for the real english dump to go public so we can port over the official stuff to the japanese version.

I just installed the English patch (I have 1.10.22). It all patched fine. The game loaded (via Teknoparrot) without issue except for the fact that I lost my Xinput control. The buttons on my Xbox One controller which were working fine on Mario Kart (Japan) no longer worked. I went back into controller settings in Teknoparrot and couldn't change anything. Not sure what the issue is. Any suggestions?

I have an issue with the link for Mario Kart DX v1.10.22 ( IPFS link posted on the front (1st) page for Teknoparrot ).

It doesn't work I think because I'm running Jdownloader2 from a day 'til now and it did download nothing.

 

Can someone help me with that?

Once there was a version available here with everything unlocked. Didnt play MKDX for a long time.

I doubt it would be possible to edit the intro? Alternatively, just have someone translate the script and voicematch the announcer to also take into account the Japanese version only features.

Speaking of which, I have found a "beta version" of v1.18 hosted on Myrient (via hShop), that doesn't actually work with the patch?

 

It's been a while since I come across this on the Teknoparrot discord server (which I left, because of "certain reasons") and with AI translation being a thing these days, I'm surprised that no-one has actually jumped on this again to do all the rank titles.

 

Though, I guess people are still... holding out for an English dump.

I got there for initial d but not for Mario Kart, if you have a version for Mario Kart I'm interested.

It's been a while since that i actually came across this, though it's good to see that the translation patch had received an update just last year (27/12/2023).

 

Honestly i'm not going to hold my breath over a potential audio mod to have the english voice included in some way, especailly with how the attract mode is presented in the Japanese version which specifically advertises in particular the National Battle and saving using a Banapassport Card, as well as about the amount of items which are actually featured.
