Hello...why my car don't want to start? I'm to 200km but the car don't start ...please help

Still have white screen no matter what I do. Amd fix applied. windowed mode. tried Jennifer and Jennifer_patched. Not sure what else im missing. Anyone with AMD was able to get rid of white screen?

 

 

 

*edit: got it working. forgot to move the outrun2_nv_shaderfix_Jennifer folder files over to disk0\jennifer

What a great game!!! 

now if only I could get that sun to be less instrusive. i have sunheightvalue turned down pretty far and its still pretty bad

i got some dumps that dont have the jennifer folder os this disk0 root

wherever i do, i got this white screen and the game closes

Outrun doesn't work for me fullscreen gives me long error cant create files unless I runic windowed any body with similar problems I've had it running before just updated and now I have errors

I'm having that error too - can only run in windowed mode, attempting fullscreen dies with a long list of shader errors in the command window before the game opens. But i'm only trying to run it for the first time now. Keen to find a fix though.

 

Is there a way to roll back versions of TeknoParrot at present?

Try sunheight at 100 or values between 25 and 30.. Depends on your resolution..

Ok, so if nothing else works, i might try forcing the windowed mode into fullscreen borderless - https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Glossary:Borderless_fullscreen_windowed#Fullscreen_Toggle_Script

 

EDIT: well, that worked, but in windowed mode the FPS isn't locked, so the game goes twice as fast as it's meant to in some spots. Might very from PC to PC. So much prettier than the PC version though.

 

I did actually technically get the game to go fullscreen, but only at the 60FPS res of my SD CRT - 640x480i - but it's black as pitch, only the sound works. Teknoparrot just isn't designed to run smoothly with old cabs in most cases. Or a setup mimicking an old cab in my case.

Ok, so the windowed trick works, but the game runs at 150% speed. It's kinda insane.

 

If anyone has any tips about getting fullscreen to work, or about limiting the speed of the game in windowed mode, i'm all ears.

 

EDIT: for windowed or fullscreen you can use RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server). This will limit the framerate to the number you set, 60 in this case.

I don't know of any fix for the sunlight, only the adjustable sunlight hack.. That doesn't really work, because each stage has different sun settings.. It's a pity, that nobody can fix this sunlight problem for the HD resolutions, because it is by far the best game in TP. I think, you would need a little knowledge of coding to fix it.. However, I tried the original resolution with "jennifer_VGA" but this is REALLY a bad resolution and a difference of day and night, I'm not willing to play at..

Hello everybody,

For me it's not really perfect. Thanks for the good job (shaders fix etc.), great work, but the shadowcar fix (résolutions 1080p, 1440p etc..) are not so good because the image is stretched. On Xbox version (i think 1280x768) the game looks better. Is it possible to have a 1280x768 shadowcar fix (likeDisk0/Jennifer/Jennifer) ? It will be perfect i think. Thanks :bravo:

Hello everybody,

I tried to change the resolution myself (xml) but my patch doesn’t work, there’s something I didn’t understand ? HD/2K/4K is a good thing, but very often the image is stretched and no longer corresponds to the original display for my opinion. I think using 1280*768 (800*480 is too small ^_^) will be like using Xbox 360 scaling compatibility. All is good now with the teknoparrot version, except this slightly stretched image that does not satisfy me.

 

Is it possible to have a shadowcar fix for 1280*768 ? Thanks a lot

Hi ! 

I have a problem about 2 players Lan connection.

When the game start, the 2P disconnect at the beginning of the course, and bug, then the game continue with only 1P... It's very strange, 

I test with 4 different PC and its the Same. Somebody know a solution ? Lag, disconnect bug ?

I found good settings if you are interested: In "hack - SunHeightValue" you put 500 and it's very good ! The sun is bright (90% of the Arcade/Xbox) and no white sky during transitions.

love the pics,  btw if you want to play this game without a worry the RPCS3  ps3 game is more perfect, I play in 5k on my 4k monitor  but the sun value is spot on, you dont get this over the top sun in ur face. its how it supposed to look like. I still prefer the arcade games over consoles, its just what I found, because I have years of playing the outrun 2 game on arcade and on tkpt , so I know that sun can be a bitch , dont look too bad here tho.

Yes i use RPCS3 too ! OR2 online version has a perfect ratio but there are half as many circuits.

Actually i play the two versions, each one has its own qualities. With my "hack - SunHeightValue" setting (500) i think it's good. The Teknoparrot OR2 SP SDX is a little stretched (1280 would be better), but not too much finaly. I love this game since i was a kid, it's a magical/amazing arcade game (holidays/sun/musics/california vibe) !!! :heart-pixel: Good game my friend

value 500 on the new tkpt  u mean?  i see i will try it.  interesting its higher a number not lower number like 10

Hi Everyone, 

I could use a little help on a problem that I get.

I bought a GPD Win 3 to make my emulation handled consoles.

I Installed Outrun 2 with Teknoparrot, patched the Jennifer file, applied Intel Shaders and activate them in teknoparrot, the game works perfectly, except that it's too fast.

In the intel graphics control pannel, I set my screen FPS to 60 and applied the Vsync to the Buggieloader excutable, but the game still remains too fast.

Any idea to how to fiw that ? 

I'm pretty sure that it comes from the fact that the GPD win 3 has a 720 x 1280 rotated resolution instead of the 1280 x 720 but I'm not sure.

Limit your monitor frequency / refresh rate to 60 Hz

It's allready done, the monitor is a 60 Hz monitor stock.

DOne it in WIndows, in Intel central, doesn't change anything.

That's why I'm asking, I tried all workaround and no success.

oh what i do is go to nvidia control panel and change for a specific app to 60 fps thats it

Hi there, I've a small little problem with OR2 SP SDX. It stutters for one frame every 2 seconds or so. It doesn't matter if V-Sync or tripple buffering in the NVidia control panel is activated or not. In InitialD8 or Sega Racing Classics this stutter doesn't occur. My PC: i7 2600 3,4GHz/16GB/GTX1070. Also, is there an "anti-supershiny" sun fix other than running at original resolution? Sun Height internal fix doesn't seem to work. Thanks in advance:)

bonjour!

petit tuto pour changer ces musiques insupportables d'euro dance :

-choisissez 7 de vos mp3 préférés (ou téléchargez les de YT)

-convertir vos mp3 en adx via le logiciel PES sound file converter

- renommer vos fichiers adx avec les noms des morceaux du jeux (ex : "01splash_wave.adx)

-remplacez les fichiers adx correspondant aux morceaux ds le repertoire : Outrun 2 SP SDX/jennifer/data

et EN JOIE!

 

pour ma part les morceaux choisis sont : Kavinsky - nigthcall, Carpenter Brut - turbokiller(Ă©videmment!),Macintosh-plus-42..,Judas priest-Painkiller,Sektemtum -low spread, Warlock-hellbound et Gary Numan - cars..

 

Carrément plus immersif!

 

Ps : je n'ai pas trouvé comment remplacer les samples sur le menu de choix de musique par contre..

Has anyone ever installed this to be able to run it Multiplayer or Non-Multiplayer?

The game works perfect for me either way all i have to do is go into the test menu and change cabinet information. However, i want to be able to either launch it setup to link, or in the event I don't have multiple units turned on, launch single player. I created a second instance of TP and a second copy of OR2 in totally different folders hoping this would do the trick, but if i change test menu information on one copy of the game the other copy gets the changes as well. It is like they are writing to a common directory outside of TP or the ROM files. Anyone experience this before or have any suggestions?
