For anyone that hasn't tried it I like this frontend.

It's not kept updated but still works with r862

Bit slow starting up but looks great and it's easy to map controls.

Pour avoir joué au 3 en salle arcade. Je peux dire que le 2 est sans contest le meilleur. 

On a une meilleur sensation de vitesse. 

Le 3 est joli... Mais s'arrête là pour moi

Don't know but it works fine. I'm not signed up for that site.

As for the Frontend I will have another look about.

 

Edit:

Only place for supermodel assistant seems to be supermodel3.com

I'm not signed up so don't know if it's still there.

It's there but link is broken as well same with the link on his YouTube channel but it hasn't been updated in a long time so the new games aswell as ones that have been renamed won't work

Are model 3 roms still being updated? The SVN 862 works with the supermodel assistant I have. Only issue I noticed was with L.A machineguns reticule not moving with gamepad.

 

I don't have the knowhow/means to make it available for you guys or I would. Open to suggestions.

It should still be somewhere on supermodel3 site I guess.

Yes the names change with mame and different version of roms have been added since a few updates ago the link for it on supermodel3 site is broken but the regular UI is good

The links on the forums are dead as well unfortunately. People have asked the uploader to reupload, but the thread saw no activity after 2020 (unless you count the aforementioned requests).

No Roms provided and you might have to change settings for your setup/controls.

 

CRT shader setup is subtle. I'm not fond of overdoing it as it either looks ugly or dark.

Uses Cathode for scanlines and a slight blur effect using Frutbunn

I think it looks nice but it's all down to taste. Kind of a high res or large screen CRT

 

If you don't want shaders del following files in supermodel folder.

ReShade.ini

ReShadePreset.ini

& reshade-shaders folder

 

Takes a while to load frontend be patient. Enjoy!

your file of 862 model 3 emulator now works perfectly..thanks a lot amazing friend.......instead when i try to use the supemodel assistant  it launch the relative rom it works but some roms as ad example LOST WORD does not has the initial title screen with T rex ...i use a wrong rom or is it normal my friend

Use drop down version select.

I dont think all versions on drop down work. 

Not indoors to check naming at moment. 

 

Edit: Sorry misread the question. I have not checked that. Might be version related. I changed the version of scud race to USA version GT in the cabinet settings. I might have done something similar to Lost world not sure.

Waiting for my Sinden to come before checking some games out.

Since you're using Reshade, do you know if any of the depth buffer effects work or not? (like MXAO, SMAA with Depth Edge, Depth Blur effects, RTGI, etc.)

Last time I tried any depth buffer effects in SCUD/Daytona 2, it only applies to attract mode, and doesn't work in gameplay

I have tried SMAA and blur festival FXAA before.

Barely notice SMAA doing anything in emulated games. Worked well in a reboot Tomb raider game once.

With Quad rendering I barely see any jaggies in supermodel.

hi , i have a few graphics bugs in starwars arcade, on hoth level gliching, i have both quad rendering  and new 3d engine turned on.

 

also is there a way to stop the black screen on level 1

Sega Rally 2 n est pas encore supporté. Le développeur qui a mis au point cette nouvelle fonction a identifié un bug d'émulation spécifique à ce jeu. Il faudra corriger le bug avant que le réseau ne marche. Il faut croiser les doigts pour qu'il y parvienne !

You can change regions by using the following steps for Model 3 games:

DAYTONA USA 2: BATTLE ON THE EDGE and POWER EDITION (Model 3 Step 2)

Method 1:
    Go into the Test mode and push the Service and Test button on the PCB at the same time.

Method 2:
    Go into the Test mode and push Hold Start and Press Green, Green, Blue, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Blue  (Colors are the VR buttons)

DIRT DEVILS (Model 3 Step 2)
    Go into the Test mode and push:  Start, Start, Service, Start, Start, Start, Service, Test

EMERGENCY CALL AMBULANCE (Model 3 Step 2)
    Region controlled by program roms

FIGHTING VIPERS 2
    In Game Assignments screen set cursor at Country line then push:  Left Left Left Right Right Left, then change country using Test switch

GET BASS/SEGA BASS FISHING (Model 3 Step 1.0)
    Go into Test mode, select the crt Test 2/2, push the Service button 4 times, exit the crt Test, select the Game assignments, push Service 3 times (sound), hold Service on push number 4 and then press Test

HARLEY DAVIDSON LA RIDERS (Model 3 Step 2)
    Go into the Test mode, select game assignments and push:  Up, Up, Down, Down, View, Music, View, Music

LA MACHINE GUNS (Model 3 Step 2)
    Go into the Test mode and push:  Start, Start, Service, Start, Start, Start, Service, Test  (Start = player 1 Start button)

LE MANS 24hr (Model 3 Step 1.5)

Support for Sega Rally 2 Network is about to come. Gm_matthew has found a way to make it work.

tom if you went to the site, it tells you what to do in the game menu, like it has been mentioned many times before NOT TO MENTION IN THE FOLDER YOU GET ,IT TELLS YOU IN THE CONFIG. 

THE  1 THAT DOES NOT WORK IS THE MAGICAL TRUCK ADVENTURE game hence my video i put up, i have had it for awhile now its in the description, always has been.
