this localserver support many games. like nostalgia op.3.
Dont support op.2

Thanks for the info but I've tried running the MonkeyBusiness EA server on Op.3 and the card IC feature still didn't work. Card creation is ok, but as soon as I enter the 4 PIN correctly, the following screen shows up and the game then loop back to the title screen. Tried the second time and no avail.

Also after the game screen, the server will print out the following error. No such error when trying it with Beatmania 29 though.

Already set the `service` url to http://192.168.1.27:8000/core and `Url Slash` to 1 as mentioned.

For some reason the touch input NO LONGER work at random. Hotkey still works to activate the overlay, but all mouse click won't work. Already enable Force Touch emulation but still no change. I guess spice is really unstable.

it works perfectly fine for most people....

it's most likely an issue on your end, maybe post logs so the issue can be diagnosed.

- dont use windowed mode, these games are not designed to work in a window

- don't change any touch settings, they are for actual touch screens and not mouse. mouse should work by default, don't change things like "force touch emulation" or "native touch handling"

- try turning off spice overlay from spicecfg (usually doesn't make a difference but worth trying)

Please can someone explain in slightly more detail on how to configure slidershim?

I have it working with -for example- chunithm, but not with nostalgia (trying op 2 atm) so it seems.

I do have my tablet connected and when opening a notepad for example I see -when I run over my tablet with my fingers- the alfanumeric characters... but how can I 'tell' the game to use my tablet

(the youtube clip linked on slidershim just does not give enough info)

thanks in advancce

Try clicking on Naive instead of Bind in spicecfg.

and make sure you are running slidershim as administrator. Otherwise spice won't pick it up.

Just tried it and works fine for me.

Hey! Are there any active links to download the game? I tried PAN-2020111600 from Nyaa but I continue getting errors...

- Initially I had errors with nostalgia.dll and libavs-win64.dll (non present in the downloaded files) -> I installed all the runtimes and libraries as suggested but I was still getting dll errors

- Then I downloaded libavs-win64.dll from another game (I don't know if it makes sense XD) and now I get a boot error on the mount table [log.txt]

Thanks in advance!

Hi today I downloaded PAN-2020111600  from Nyaa and tested.

No issues with the package, it's working "out of the box" no missing files etc. Only issue I had was with touch controls that was fixed by replacing old spice2x tools with new version.

Currently I'm downloading 2022122000 as only now I saw laflegge post lol

Edit: I think your issue might be with your system setup, I remember I had troubles in the beginning with those Konami games and I ended up installing bunch of stuff and adjusting windows configurations, like sound frequencies to 16 bit, 44100 Hz

My recommendation would be to check this topic:

You're using spicetools from 4 years ago. Update to the latest spice2x version.

You are also not supposed to just copy a libavs-win64.dll from another game, that's why your game is crashing. Everything you need to run the game is in the download, just need to run with spice. If it doesn't work then it's a configuration issue (even if it says libavs-win64 is missing, it's not actually missing)

Finally... if you are really running on Parallels on some ancient Macbook don't expect things to work smoothly.

@bicarus great job

Updates XD

I downloaded again the game from Nyaa, imported the newest version of Spice and I got again errors with dlls so… I tried it on my other laptop (Windows) and… it worked instantly XD

It’s strange because I managed to play DDR A without any problem (it’s a MacBook Pro [M1 Pro] with Parallels) so I thought I could run Nostalgia too!

Thanks again for your time and your answers! ^-^

Just trying again...are there already dumps of op3 available later then 2022122000 and if so, who is willing to share?

Hi, I've 2023123100. I'll upload it later today

Hi... thanks. I guess it is very usefull for people searching for a fairly recent OP3. but -and I am really not ungratefull- this is a 'fake' 202312 version. It has the same content as the 202212 edition with an 'omnimix' applied (deleted songs from op1 and op2) and some missing songs from a Konaste version early 2023 (=home edition).

But again: I appreciate you took the time uploading and it will certainly help others who are still running op2 or even older 🙂

Good to know 👍

Side question, do you have songs labels/pictures when selecting? I have 3 versions of Nostalgia 2021,2022 and this 'fake' 2023 one, but all of them have just blanks. When checking YT videos of the game, they have pictures and logos like any other Konami titles

Hi,

The following will hopefully work. Apart from the Konaste songs because the nostalgia.dll does not know about these.

- Download MonkeyBusiness local ea-server (https://github.com/drmext/MonkeyBusiness)

- configure spice
EA Service URL = http://localhost:8083/core (do not forget the /core)
create a card in spicecfg (under the tab Cards)

- start MonkeyBusiness with start.bat
- start spice64 (just to double check if all works and you can create a profile by pressing the big  + or ENTER key ---forgot which exactly)
- this will not show jackets yet.

- when all works stop game

For the jackets to show up put the music_list.xml from the zip in your MonkeyBusiness\modules\nostalgia folder
This specific music_list.xml is a copy of the one in contents\data_op3\sound but without some tags.
The reason is that MonkeyBusiness does not use/needs them and will more or less fail reading these tags, resulting in no jackets being shown.

Do not copy a music_list.xml from data, data_op2 or data_op3 into the MonkeyBusiness nostalgia folder.

Hope it works

No problem. Glad that it's working.

Now let's hope a more recent version surfaces. I saw on a cab that there are some undertale songs I really want to practice at home.

Does anybody know how many songs there should be in total if the above has worked? I currently have 77 songs but I don't know if that is the full amount or no on Op3.

Thanks in advance.

Posté(e) (modifié)

77 ??? What version are you running? Current public op3 (202212) + omnimix (deleted songs from op1 and op2) = 533 songs

Ouch. I'm running Op 3 (not sure on versions etc)...I don't have those two tabs at the top of my list so I'll have to look into what to do. Mine looks like this:

And then when I click on All Music:

get the one from dyniel83 a few posts up: that one has also the leaked konaste songs (11 in total) so that will give you 544 songs (the konaste songs are not great that's why I do not have them on my system)

never mind: You do not have 77 songs... you have 77 pages with each 6 songs = 462 songs.

Look in the contents\prop folder : in 1 of the xml's you will see a version number (something like 2022062400, 2022122000 or even older 2021????)

Another thing is that the music_list.xml contains entries with begin and end dates.. some songs are ended so you need to change these dates so that they are valid again (somewhere in 2099).

And perhaps you do not have the omnimix installed (deleted songs from op1, op2 and older op3) which already contains 35 songs.
