Found the solution after much shifting through the source. Spice tools keeps its settings under "%AppData%\Local" just delete both files and the next time you start spicetools it will be like the first time. I was able to use this method to disable all active patches. Hope this can help anyone else.

@CiTrON Jconfig not working graphics wise doesnt matter if you use windowed or fullscreen cannot see race track it is a jumbled mess see image sorry it is so small as i had to shrink it as only allowed to upload 10kb which is ridicolous as that is only thumbnail size picture.

I have the same problem with Storm G and I play with a intel 530!

 

Edit:

 I just saw in the second window, while the game is playing, that there is an error "dx9 surface copy"

Thanks, but the program is for fixing the attract mode.

The graphics problem is in the race.

When I start the game with Teknoparrot all works.

But the JConfig version would be superior, as you can see your time at the end (even it disappears quite fast).

works for me on Windows 10-Nvidia GTX 760. But I have random crash during the race (before lap 1 usually) and quite often when drifting.

needs more fix I think...

WM drivers installed.

Hello Everyone,

 

I  am running Storm Racer G on both Teknoparrot Patreon and on J-Config experimental launcher created by FlyBit. 

 

Let begin with addressed issues for some users whom cant launch Storm Racer G using J config for the below reason:

 

Issue address :  Cannot launch - xinput_1.4. dll is missing .

 

Debugging the issue : xinput_1.4.dll is a set of dll files embedded  starting windows 8 and above. Basically All win 7 users will have problems launching steam games or other utilizing this file.

 

Resolution : 

- Download Xinput_1.3.dll 32 bits version and extract this file to the bin folder of SRG after you have extracted Jconfig and usb_io.dll into the same bin directory and extracted the save file from assets into SRG/assets/ replace savefile.dll.  (better to backup the original in case you would like later on to use in TP). 

 

N.B : This is very important , Do not map the controls in Jconfig before extracting the xinput_1.3.dll  and renaming it to xinput_1.4.dll. 

 

After successfully completing this step, open J config in order to map the controls . 

 

Before mapping the controls , if the game crashes upon launch you might be better  by disabling the Direct3d9 wrapper .

 

-If you are using the xinput joystick, please select xinput from the drop down list.

If you are using Direct-input or Logitech wheels, make sure to set as below:

- Enable POVsends AxisXY

- Enable for Analog

- Do not select Fake steering or pedals.

- In order to map buttons  such as start, coins ,test , boost , up and down , exit. make sure to set in logitech profiler to combined settings.

- In order to map left /right steering analog and pedals x and Y , remove the combined first.

 

Trivia,

-On my testing , when selecting force feedback in the settings of Jconfig, this will cause no controls to be hooked to game upon launch . I advise to keep it deselected. (Ofcourse you can try it yourself, each user can have things work for him/her differently.)

 

Issues in Jconfig :

-Brake is inverted . It works , but when releasing the gas , the car auto brakes and drives backwards. Couldn't find a fix

-Boost/nitro can only be mapped to analog input. (update: IT works but when only mapped to an analog shifter " Does not work with g27/20 shifters. Ca be mapped to another hooked flight simulator joystick)

-Auto/ Manual Drifting selection Panel in the selection screen is missing .

-The game slows down on occasional courses . (Disregard)

-Force feedback seems not to work on Logitech wheels in win7. Others try on Win 10 to see if it is possible.

Has anyone gotten LAN VS for Storm Racer G working ? Cant seem to find a way to set Machine ID or Turn network on. If someone got LAN working please post what you did to get it working.

 

when it comes to controls using Jconfig
If I click on combined axis and map controls in Jconfig for G27 everything works execpt the start button. I can insert credits ect. However for the start button to kick in I have to run the game Windowed so I can turn the combined axis checkbox on and the game presses start by itself. If I click the combined checkbox off again when the game has started all other controls work like they should, wheel,  pedals, coin, view change, boost. So It seems like the problem is that the start button is always held in if combined axis is off, and is always out and cant be pressed if combined axis is on.

Turning off MSAA works fine, but when I do it and close the debug menu, the debug menu keeps popping up at the start of every race and on the results screen, which is mildly annoying.

Any idea how to fix this?

In the menu game after put credit presse 7 on your keyboard you see a menu and turn off option Msaa and press again 7

And play

 

I see in test mode it's possible ti activate infinite boost its working good. 

 

What I'm trying to disable is the blur effects when you activate the boost
