[PS3-PC] RPCS3 : Les "bons" jeux type arcade parfaitement "jouables"

Yes, MotorStorm works quite well. An occasional freeze but for the most part solid game play the entire time. Apocalypse was slower but recent updates have improved all three versions.

Interesting so the compatibility list isn't necessarily accurate? What about Gran Turismo 5 or 6 they working?

I have a Nvidia GTX 1650 and Pacific Rift is lagging. What settings are needed?

Edit: Sami Apocalypse. Constant sound skips.

The compatibility website is old.  Look at the dates.

RPCS3 is updated all the time, sometimes multiple times a day.

Look at reddit or discord server, or sometimes you just have to try the game yourself.

RPCS3 is more dependent on fast cpu with 4 cores or more, and not video card.

For Pacific Rim

Under CPU

PPU & SPU decoder= Recompiler LLVM, Enable thread schedular, spu loop detection, spu cache.  SPU Block Size Mega, Preferred SPU Threads Auto

Under GPU

Renderer= Vulkan, Framelimit may have to be adjusted, Default Resolution 1280x720, Resolution Scale (Reduce this if you have slowdown)

Shader Mode=Async (multi threaded).  Additional Settings= Write Color Buffers, Multithreaded RSX.

Under Advanced

Only select Load liblv2.sprx only

These settings work for 99% of games. The Write Color Buffers is not needed most of the time but fixes quite a few games.

Other games that might work for Arcade type setups if you like American football.

Madden NFL Arcade

Tecmo Bowl Throwback,

There's also quite a few old games like Virtua Fighter 2, etc.  But I prefer those under Mame

I have 4 cores and a computer that can play 100% of all PC games that are currently out. I've been able to play quite a few games on rpcs3 already. It's probably just that it needs these settings you mentioned doesn't matter computer you have. Thanks for the info.

Did everything you said, Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Apocalypse still running like hell :( I set Framelimit to 30 and reduced resolution scale.

I mean I have a CFW PS3 and have these games on PS3 so it's not the end of the world, I'm just trying to get all arcade type racing/fighting/lightgun games on my PC and I can use my steering wheel with them.

Edit: I think I solved it by maximizing audio buffer.

Another Edit: No Pacific Rift still skips. Oh well.

Appreciate the help I thought the compatibility list was the only thing to go by but I guess not.  They still don't feel as smooth as the real PS3 versions for some reason though can't explain why. Probably not getting solid 30 fps.

There is a 60 fps patch available for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. Check it out in the Patch Manager.

It's weird i have that checked and saved already before you posted this. Still doesn't seem right.

Is it smooth as butter for you?

i followd the instruction but it didnt work...anyway you can help me?

this is the path i use in ahk:

run, c:\RPCS3\rpcs3.exe c:\ps3\Razing_Storm\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\razingstorm.self

I put ahk script in root of rpcs3 install.  You can point your front end to that file.

You must copy .self files from game1 and game2 to USRDIR.  See screenshot.

So for me ....dev_hdd0\disc\Time Crisis Razing Storm BLUS30528\PS3_Game\USRDIR

Note: If you did not go through extremely long install of pirates, you will not see the pirates_PS3.ppu.self

It looks like you are not putting the game in rpcs3, you have different paths.  Unless you created C:\pc3 as a virtual cd directory, otherwise it won't work.

Here is my ahk script for razingstorm.  You will need to create a different script for timecrisis4.self and pirates_ps3.ppu.self

Notice my game is under dev_hdd0\disc\ inside the rpcs3 install folder.

Just double click your ahk script to launch game, or have front end point to ahk script to launch for you.

#SingleInstance Force
run rpcs3.exe "D:\Emulation\rpcs3\dev_hdd0\disc\Time Crisis Razing Storm BLUS30528\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\razingstorm.self"

    WinSet, Style, -0xC00000, % title
    WinSet, Style, -0x40000, % title
    WinSet, AlwaysOnTop, Off, % title
}

c::
Send {RButton Down}
Send {MButton Down}
Send {LButton Down}
Sleep, 60

Thanks you...i already fix it a while ago:)

it seems that you must be on 1.00 version of the game for self boot to work. if you on 1.01. it wont self boot no matter what.

I've noticed a regression recently on this game after reading your post..  I get lower fps than before.

Just updated rpcs3 30 minutes ago.

I had to uncheck Multithreaded RSX under GPU tab/ Additional Settings and it cleared up a lot of stutter.

Also need Variable FPS Checked if you use 60 FPS, otherwise it will stutter as 60fps all the time is not possible.

I did a side  by side comparison of me playing Motorstorm Pacific Rift on PC and me playing it on PS3 at the same time. It was not even in the same atmosphere the PS3 was so much better. I would only switch them over if the games played the same. I have a steering wheel for PC/Xbox 360 but I have a mayflash adapter that lets me use it on PS3 so I can even use my wheel on PS3 so no real reason to switch unless it's identical. Thanks for all the help though.

3.jpg3.jpg2.jpg

----------------------------------

-Kega Fusion       -------------------------------------> Rien a redire.

-Higan                  -------------------------------------> Je préfère LARGEMENT Snes9x via filtre Xbrz 6x, mais Bsnes HD est magnifique en mode 7.

-MAMEui              -------------------------------------> Cela va de soit :p

-Ootake               -------------------------------------> Magic Engine ou mame.

-SSF                    -------------------------------------> Yaba Sanshiro voire Kronos

-Amiga/C64 Forever  --------------------------------> WinUAE(les mins dans l'cambouis) ou plus simplement FS-UAE vraiment user friendly.

Merci pour tes avis, tu as de bonnes rérérences ! ^_^

I've tried both PAL/NTSC versions of SoulCalibur V, sometimes it will boot normally but other times it will get stuck after loading "Linking PPU Modules" it gets to 117 of 117 and stays there. I tried waiting an hour even. And if I exit the game (I have to via task manager) I get an error. But other times, it  loads normally and plays fine.

I just tried it three times in a row, first time loaded fine second time stuck at Linking PPU, third time loaded fine. it seems completely random.

What do you have as CPU?

For me Uncharted 2 and 3 work fine (between 25-40 fps). BUT there are very instable! The games freeze after 10 or 20 min.

If you take a powerfull CPU you can win several fps but the games stay instable.

Last of Us less instable but you need to have a good CPU.

Killezone 3 works fine now and is very stable.

hey yes i forgot to say yes i tried outrun2 sp on rpcs3 on monday, ahah funny yes it plays perfect and in a way is a better game than the arcade version as i can play the arcade version anyway, but it seems rpcs3 plays al of these small games very well, it only stumbles on the big games last of us god of war etc etc.. i mean games at the nba jam, everybodys golf, sega bass fishing, virtua tennis 3 and  WWE All Stars LEVEL are way playable

For me Uncharted 3 is more instable than Uncharted 2. It crashes after 5, 10 or 15 min max.

I think God Of War 3 (and the next one, Ascension) shloud work fine with your config. It has been improved and no need to have a very powerfull CPU.

oh they all work, god of war has been the most disappointing to me, im still using the 120 trick to make it appear faster than it is. but really its only around 30fps  often lower, best around 46fps still shiter than I would think after 7 years
