I don't know, I had this bug months ago and I didn't have it for some weeks.

But I've just tried to change my setting and now the issue is back most of time lol :goutte-sueur:

Edit : It seems  like to be a cache problem. The cache seems have be build with an other setting and used with the setting given above...

I still try to define a working tip to fix it but no real luck until now.

yea i'm trying to figure out a way to make it work all the time ..but it just seems to be random ..

oh well ..there has been a lot of progress lately with rpcs3 so hopefully it will get fixed soon .

It's not enougth, you need to use Write Color Buffer and Resolution Scale 100%. ;)

i will try that and report.

Nvidia fullscreen problem should be fixed with the last update :)

I tested again some games with the most recent build :

- Deadstorm Pirates BGM works now fine with the setting given above (didn't test again other ones lol) and has less slowdowns

- SoulCaliburIV now runs fullspeed on my setup on all stages (even the Starwars ones)

Also with actual MSAA PL : https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/pull/6055 most games works fine and are even more beautiful :heart-pixel:

The only issues found with MSAA on my games are : SoulCaliburV character colors are broken and the last stage of TTT2 crashes.

It will probably be fixed soon as someone already reported these isues :)

Checked GTI Club + Rally Cote d'Azur for about 45mn in fullscreen.

It work without crash, but having some stuttering at  end (40/45mn).

Great! Can you provide me with the latest download link of this build?

SoulCaliburV issue is already fixed :)

Comment sais-tu que les pb sur tel et tel jeu sont corrigés ou bien les évolutions en général?

Ou prends-tu les infos?

i can confirm the fullscreen issue is now fixed ... and now vsync option works too ... so i don't have to force it from NVIDIA control panel.... i guess it was a problem from emulators side all along not Nvidia drivers like they said..good to see it fixed cuz now i can update the drivers on my 1803 win 10.

SoulCaliburIV  already did run really well on my setup ... but yea its perfect right now.

Deadstorm Pirates runs really well too and yep i feel that i'm getting better fps in the parts were it slows down a little .... and the bgm works fine now it only stops if i go back to the menu after playing a bit ..

so yea a very minor problem.

Hello guys. Does anyone own a real PS3 console ? I am doubtful about what to do.

I only want to play a few PS3 games, but specially Ridge Racer 7 and Wipeout HD. These games require a powerful PC, better than Core i7 3770k, maybe 4th generation i7 or better with TSX ( i7 3770k lacks TSX ). ( Ridge Racer 7 runs at maximum 30 fps, and with stuttering sound in some cases, on lower end Core i5 or i7 CPUs, or some Ryzen 5 or 7 CPUs, according to some YouTube videos I have watched. That is OK, but not 60 fps ).

If I buy a powerful enough PC to emulate the games with RPCS3, I need to spend US$ 1000.

On the other hand, I can buy a refurbished PS3 console like new for US$ 300, but I need something better than an old TV set to get HD graphics. I don´t want to use and old TV because the graphics are poor.

If I buy an HD TV, it woud cost me another US$ 300, so I would have to spend at least US$ 600 in this case.

But if I buy a PS3 instead of a PC, I lose the possibility of emulating other consoles with PCSX2, Xenia or Cemu, which require a medium-high end PC ( My actual PC is crap, it is a dual core Pentium E5700, and I can barely emulate PS2 or Wii U games, and have trouble to emulate PS3 of course ).

I would like to know if I can get HD graphics like the ones of RPCS3 by using an HD PC monitor connecting through HDMI, and a PS3 console.  ( The HD PC monitor with HDMI costs around US$ 180 so it is cheaper than a HD TV ).

I will be very grateful if you can give me your opinion about what would be the best choice in the long run ( the difference is US$ 400 or US$ 500, but it would be difficult for me to spend US$ 1000 at this moment ) :gene:

Bloody HELL that is EXPENSIVE !!!!!

Over here about 60 Euro's / US$ 67 for a slim model.

I would not buy a fat one (1st series) neither a superslim (toploader)

I would go for a slim series. (the middle one)

Emulation and CFW on PS3 has come a long way ....

You do not need a 4K TV (at the moment) a good (brand) second hand full HD TV would be fine.

PM me for more info if needed, so we do not clutter this thread.

A quite good new PC at this time :

CM (Z370) : 100€

Proc (i5-9600K) : 240€

DDR4 (16GB 2666) : 60€

GC (GTX-1060) : 160€

=> 560€ in France (with a lot of taxes) so approx 560$ in the US I think ;)

Upgrade the CPU ? A LGA775 Socket CPU, put new cooling paste between the CPU and cooler, just a little bit and make sure there are no air bubbles between the CPU and cooling block.

AFTER you flashed the latest BIOS for your motherboard, check for CPU support on the manufacturers site for EXACTLY your motherboard model and version !

I got a few LGA775 CPU's over here, at a first glance a Q8300 and a bunch of Xeon CPU's.

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html?productIds=39107,42801

Where are you from, want it ?

You pay post and packaging, the CPU is for FREE !!!

So @customizer2 PM me if needed.

Hi, thanks for reply ! Unfortunately in my country you cannot buy a PS3 for less than US$ 200. This is for a PS3 SLIM and used in good condition if your lucky. There are many online sellers who sell refurbished PS3 consoles in the range of US$ 250-300, but the consoles come without the original box, just wrapped and with used gamepads.

They say they have a limit guarantee but if you find they are not in working  condition, sometimes they don´t assume responsability. Some people ( not all of them ) leave negative feedback comments saying that the product came faulty or have small issues, or used and faulty gamepads. So they are not very trustworthy.

I can instead buy an used one that I can try before I buy, but there is no guarantee it will continue working for a long time, and the used ones are sold for not less than US$ 200. This is in my country. I live in Uruguay, South America.

About the used HD TV, they cost minimum US$ 200 and you don´t know how long will it last after you buy it, even if you buy it in good working condition.

Someone said in a forum where I asked, that a HD PC monitor with HDMI was better for playing PS3 with good HD graphics than a HD TV, but on the other hand, I have read that sometimes the PC monitor shows only a black screen and cannot receive the video signal from the console. I trust more in a PC than an HD LCD TV set.

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately this PC you mention costs around US$ 1500 where I live, there are better options for around US$ 1000, like Ryzen 5 2600, Core i5 8400, even Core i7 8700 ( core i7 8700 with GTX 1050 and 8 GB ram costs US$ 1100.) These are generic PCS that are built upon request.

My motherboard only supports the following CPUs: Intel Core 2 Extreme - Core 2 Quad - Core 2 Duo - Pentium Dual Core - Celeron Dual Core - Celeron, Penryn Quad Core Yorkfield - Dual Core Wolfdale - These CPUs have a poor perfomance not enough for RPCS3. So if I have to change the motherboard, it´s better to buy a new PC, I don´t have skills to build one myself.

Just to show examples about how powerful the PC should be to run Ridge Racer 7 with RPCS3.

This video shows the game emulated on an Intel Core i5 3570k with GTX 1050 Ti.

As you can see, it runs ingame at average 30 fps with stuttering sound.

And with Ryzen 7 2700 and RTX 2060 GPU, seems better, but doesn´t show the fps in the video:

Steep prizes for computer hardware in Uruguay.

Are taxes that high ?

Sorry to hear that you will need a new PC to emulate a PS3, and the emulation is not even bit perfect.

Sending a Q8300 CPU to you from Europe would cost about US$ 20, I do not think it is worth the money.

It would be cheaper to order one form China including free shipping !

So that is a no go, sending a CPU which is also to slow to run RCPS3.

Prices of the previous generation Ryzen has lowered a lot !!

And even if you have a fast PC, CPU / GPU, check the RCPS3 compatibilty list

https://rpcs3.net/compatibility

As you can see it is still problematic.

Thanks again for your interest. Prices in my country are steep for consoles, not so much for PCs and related hardware, if you compare with USA.

Argentina and Brazil, for example, have high taxes for imported hardware, so it is far more expensive than in Uruguay.

Regarding  Q8300 CPU, it is about 40% faster than my CPU, according to the web page https://www.userbenchmark.com, but it would be not enough for RPCS3.

And if I have to spend money I prefer a CPU that can run Ridge Racer 7 at least at 30 fps. I think with background music off, it is quite playable.

I will have to decide between risking to buy a 2nd hand PS3 console and a PC HD monitor or HD TV, or just buy a high end PC.

As Ryzen CPUs are going lower in price, and that also lower Intel CPUs prices, I will have to be careful about what PC to buy, in order to get the best value for money.

For the moment, if I could afford it, I would prefer a Ryzen 7 2700 or an Intel Core i7 8700, they are both around the same price ( including a GTX 1050 GPU ).

Hi Guys,

Thank you for this amazing list. Added some of these hidden gems to my cabinet many thanks!!

I am having extreme issues with removing trial versions of TMNT Re shelled and some other games.

Wondering if you guys know what I am missing here.

Here are my steps:

Get the game from PSNStuff and updates if available.

Retrieve the edat file with PSNStuff and rename it to .rap

Put the .rap file under dev_hdd0/Home/000000001/exdate

Seems simple enough, but ingame it still shows the trial menu.

Anything else I am missing, seems RPCS3 has some issues unlocking trial games with this method. Even tried to leave as an edat and copy the files to the game folder but same issue...

Any help is appreciated!

Edit: Found the problem, the games were loaded from another drive and the dev_hdd0/Home/000000001 rested on that folder, the one in the emulator folder was not the correct one. Putting all the rap files on the new folder fixed the issue.

Thanks!

Moondiver, Resgun and Rush'n'Attack are even better running at 60fps!!!! 1. create a custom config, 2. edit with a text editor and change   Vblank Rate: 60 to   Vblank Rate: 120

so i was trying playstation all stars battle royale the other day ... and it seems its running at 60fps most of the time in all the stages i tried except (dojo - parappa the rapper stage)..

i played with 2 or 3 players at the same time seems fine (versus or practice ) .. but arcade mode seems to crash for me after the first battle ... so i guess its really close to being playable
