Any hope of resolving this beauty? :gene::lol:

As you can see, I can't render many textures, hahaha...

I have messed with a few options, but nothing has changed... any advice? :drapeau-blanc:

Just some quality of life advice from things I used for myself.

I do not recommend using alt+F4 to close the program. That made the lighting go weird. (Only active until the game gets closed.) I'm not really sure how to close the program normally except to alt+enter out of fullscreen and click the X in the upper right. There's a better way if you use the below paragraph.

I've only used an old wired Xbox 360 controller, but it works for me. I've also been using it through Steam's controller configuration tool. Add daytona.exe as a non-steam game, set up the controller as a standard xinput controller, adjust the left analog stick to relaxed, crank the deadzone all the way down if you haven't already, crank the outer deadzone all the way up, set up the d-pad left and right as the arrow left and right keys on the keyboard, and you're all set for playing the game from your couch. You can also bring up the Steam overlay and exit the game from there. I recommend not touching anything on the controller until the Sega logo shows up. If the game doesn't respond to your start button, close it and try again. The only time I had to restart the program was when I played with the controller before the Sega logo showed up.

In one of the cfg files, there's a deadzone option. It's 0.1. If you leave it as 0.1, I've found the above Steam settings to work well with it, so don't change that 0.1 unless you feel you need to.

You can use the test menu (shell.exe) to change the game length to classic mode so you get 4 laps on Dinosaur Canyon. Remember, use T and Y to navigate. If it fails to run, make sure you're not using HDMI audio out. (The game itself supports HDMI audio out.) If you don't see the option there (I no longer see it, I think it might be because I removed the game from the root of the C drive) you can use this in ShellData>GameSettings.ini - GAME LENGTH=CLASSIC MODE

Got beefy hardware? go to GameData>config.ini and make things appear like this.

[Render]

ENABLE_DYNAMIC_RESOLUTION = 0
DYNAMIC_RESOLUTION_MAX = 1920
DYNAMIC_RESOLUTION_MIN =  960
ENABLE_DYNAMIC_MSAA = 1
ENABLE_DYNAMIC_BAKE_FREQUENCY = 1

That was a change of dynamic resolution to 0 to disable it and a change of MSAA to 1 to enable it. Everything else in that section is default. I'm not sure what the bake frequency is, so I may play with it and see if changing it to 0 improves visuals.

I added TOTAL CABINETS=1 to ShellData>GameSettings.ini based on something I read on another forum. YMMV. Of course, this is for if you want to play as a single machine.

I hope this helps some people. Especially the Steam thing. That's the most significant thing I've done.

ok firstly

you will need 32bit version of x360ce :) . now after that goto game settings as you did and enter Daytona.exe exactly as you did. Now click on it to highlight it (like how x360ce_x64.exe is highlighted in blue now)

now click COM,DI,PIDVD,NAME and STOP under Hook Mask and click on every 32 bit check under Xinput Files

if you have a button which says apply underneath then click on it. Save and quit out of x360ce. Now just load the game and it should make a sound and you know it's working :)

Ah ha, yes thank you! Forgot about DEBUG interface...

I have found the option inside DEBUG that fixes my issue!

Untitled2.png.2050477833048ee550f972ed8a29aeea.png

I had to uncheck "MSAA4X" and now my textures appear..

However, I do not know how to add this graphic option to any .ini file.

I tried opening GameData\config.ini and adding a line to [Render] section, such as "MSAA4X = 0", but it did not work.

Even stranger, every time the scene changes, or if attract mode loops again, I have to check this ON and then OFF again to fix. If I play, I have to do the same, ON, then OFF, every time a new menu comes up or the race starts.

Very strange. :(

I must figure a way to make this option stick in a config file!

Posté(e) (modifié)

Can someone help me out? I might be blind but I'm pretty sure everything is where it needs to be. Maybe I need  to use the 64-bit version? No inputs are being received by the game. Trying to use my G920 steering wheel.

It helps pretty much... super thanx!  i feel much smoother the steering now, still not totally smooth but certain a big improvement!

I forgot...  Yup, easy to quit the game through steam overlay, again, big thanx!!

ok d'abord

EDIT : like the screen my pad not working i have nothing working now

Can you put a screen please ????

Ok, Got ia Logitech G27 to work with x360ce. This just worked for me.

I used x360ce in it's own DIR setup the wheel the way I like it (creating xinput1_3)
put the 3 files in the c:\Sega\Daytona directory
Renamed Xinput9_1_0.dll

Renamed Xinput1_3 to xinput9_1_0.dll (the file daytona is expecting)

this is how i managed to get my wheel working
