I never played this too and I will give it a try some day.

 

Check the post by Viperone2020 above, 5 GB links here seem to work. I loaded them in jdownloader and there are the 2 versions mentioned in 1st post + the spicetools.

I didn't try it yet, it's in the download list, will get in these days I think.

 

For spicetools, I'm using it with other 2 Konami games and it's not complicated.

Copy the content of the spicetools archive in the main directory of the game.

Launch  spicecfg.exe and select Metal Gear from the drop down menu above.

Configure the buttons and then close it.

Launch the game with spice.exe

 

When I will try, I will update this post

Downloaded, tested both versions and got PBC error.

Tried different versions of spicetools + GL but got always the PBC error.

 

Tried also the content archive posted by spiderzsoft and hitting the Service button but the error doesn't go away.

Maybe I'm missing something. I put spicetools in root directory, and configured spicecfg, but when I run spice.exe a command prompt comes up it shows a bunch of things then closes. 

 

Also when I set buttons in spicecfg I can only use my keyboard. My Xbox 360 controller isn't recognized.

Same here, with the old spicetools only kbd works, my xbox controller not.

With the latest version of ST my xbox gamepad works but the game doesn't start.

 

If someone knows a FiX would be helpful.

 

P.S.

I tried plugging a mic and that error doesn't go away.

 

WiN 10 v1803 with all C++ and latest DX.

Yes is impossible this game work only with headset connect.... Konami games is really difficult work 😢

Nevermind the other one worked.

 

Also if someone wants to use controller like I do you can use joytokey map keyboard to controller. 

 

I'm having trouble getting the keyboard to work though. I binded keys but they still don't work.

Mouse polling rate is very low in test mode and in game

 

Just tested it on a different PC, also boots fine, but for some reason attract mode is only black screen with a overlay (press start and e-Amusement nag screen)

Same brand / type of GPU

 

I/O problems

When using headtracking mode (head control type) it keeps spinning around in game, no control (gyroscopic, could a dualshock 3 or 4 controler work ?)

When using gun control type, it moves on it's own, w,a,s,d work, but as soon as you do not press a button, it goes on the move again

The game loads, but I'm unable to add any credits. The spiceconfig overlay says coins are inserted in the machine, but the game doens't do anything. There's a big red error box that says something about e-amusement on the screen, if that means anything.

would you mind resharing your screenshot images of controls, mouse, gun, etc... I’m struggling getting this game going. So far it just launches and crashes after about 10 sec.
