thanks a lot @skyewelse but I don't think this starts the game in 4k. It uses 1080p. In that game rom download I can see that all config files of the game have been changed to 3840*2160 but it doesn'T seem to be used by the game... :-(

so is there any way to get the game resolution higher without those graphic issues (most of the screen staying black)?

I see that all fullscreen patches aim to set the desktop resolution to 1080p because the game seems to run natively in 1080p. But is there a way to get the game to render in more than 1080p natively? 1440p or even 4K?
