  1. After troubleshooting a bit, I was able to figure out the issue was actually with the hard drive I was using. The error message was actually a new device installation complete confirmation screen, so it was asking for a restart at exactly the same time the game was running the Connection test. I was able to fix that issue in the OS and the 2023112900 upgrade is working on my set-up now. Thanks for posting the XML file navi_cs, though. It has a few entries that weren't present in my file. So that is still helpful for me to have!
  2. Since the game crashes at the final check when using BemaniTools, it isn't able to get into the Test/Service Menu screen. Would one of the /prop/ folder's xml config files have this setting? Alternately, I could try going back to 2023103002's working build and changing the setting in that menu. Do you have an idea of what might need to be fixed, though? Here's an image showing my settings...
  3. I have tried upgrading using the 2023112900 files that NoctsRanun posted, but it keeps crashing when I try to run the data on a Chimera PCB in a DDR cab with a CRT, which I'm launching with BemaniTools. The data will get to the final check and then crash with a pop-up. The log screen seems to indicate it is crashing due to something coin or event related (is this the Babylon Galaxy event issue mentioned a few posts back)? I have posted two images below of the errors. It will do this using both working 2023091900 and 2023103002 data with the 1129 data applied over it in the correct folders. Any ideas what might be happening here? NOTE: Interestingly, while the 2023112900 files will crash on my Chimera (with BemaniTools), if I try the data on a Windows 10 PC using Spice, it will book just fine. I haven't been able to get Spice working in my Chimera set-up, though.
  4. RE: White Banners Posting this info, in case it is helpful to anyone. You can add back the White Banner removed songs (i.e. the ones showing white song jacket art) by copying the files from your earlier MDX-001-2022020200 data back over certain files that were patched with 1 KB files. Replacing these files should make the songs playable... /data/sound/dance/ sknk.xwb reiw.xwb nosh.xwb mkdr.xwb doku.xwb /data/arc/jacket/ sknk_jk.arc reiw_jk.arc nosh_jk.arc mkdr_jk.arc doku_jk.arc [Probably optional, but I replaced it anyway.] /data/mdb_apx/movie/ doku.m2v mkdr.m2v nosh.m2v reiw.m2v sknk.m2v And replacing these files should add back the jacket art to the song selection screen: /data/arc/thumbnail/ jacket_thumbnails_ja_17.arc jacket_thumbnails_ja_18.arc Additional: You might be missing some other songs as well. If that's the case, and you want to add them back, you should be able to figure out which ones from this image (screen shot of my sound/dance replaced items folder). These are files that were made 1 KB during the transition from A20 to A3 or from A3 upgrades. Remember that you'll also need to replace their paired file from the jacket folder (and possibly movie folder).
  5. Thanks, this helped me to fix the attract mode File Corruption Error crash.
  6. Thanks. That new statup file fixed the problems right up. New songs are showing now!
  7. I can't seem to get any of the new content to show up from the 2020031700 update. I used a copy of my working 2020020300 data as a base and have gone through copying in the data twice to make sure. I know the update did something as "DDR Selection" is missing from the sort menu now...but not seeing anything new. Any ideas?
  8. I installed the A20 torrent data in my Cab and it looks to be booting and playing correctly. I noticed two pairs of DECO*27 songs have the same cover jacket images, though. I used arcutil to extract the jacket_thumbnails and the images in the files I have are definitely repeated. "妄想感傷代償連盟" (Mousou Kanshou Daishou Renmei) in A20 mkdr_tn.dds "ライアーダンス" (Liar Dance) in A20 liar_tn.dds "毒占欲" (Dokusenyoku) in A20 doku_tn.dds "妄想税" (Mousou Zei) in A mous_tn.dds Does anyone know what might be causing this or if the data is meant to be this way...? Images attached. [edit: removed images]
