ArcCabView + PinCabView : Display your arcade games just as you want!

Hi I got the bezel to work so real happy about that. I can also add the CRT effect, but I was wondering whether additional shaders such as fakelottes and/crt royale and the likes can be chosen or imported? As you see in the screenshot, in the crt effect settings I can only choose 3 options in the drop down menu. In addition, would it be possible to reduce the scanlines themselves, like the thickness? The image is just a tad blocky. Thanks -

Hi any help please? I can start Virtua Cop and when I press the home key, the reshade window pops up. I downloaded a specific bezel, renamed it to bezel, the extension is png and saved it in the Textures folder. There was already a generic bezel.png file in there so I deleted that one. I have two challenges now. In the reshade window under settings I've no idea how to import any shaders nor do I know how to activate the bezel. When I look in all the arccabview folders I don't see a folder that contains lots of shader options so perhaps there is nothing to import? You can see in the screenshot that it is showing a Virtua Cop preset, and the tutorial says this screen is where one would import/find/select shader options. but there is nothing here. I have windows 11 64 bit should it matter. Thank you. -

It's still somewhat daunting I'm sorry to say. At one point there was a drop down menu showing a lot of games, so I typed my own game in there, which is the model 2 shooter Virtua Cop and clicked ok. Would I need to do this for every single game separately? Or are you basically modifying the emulator exe only, meaning any game you load with that emulator would automatically have the new features like shaders and bezels? From where would I be applying a bezel and choosing a shader? Sorry I know there is a lot of info on page 1, but if I can just figure it out for one specific emulator, then I'm sure I can replicate the process for other emulators. -

Hello, Now that I have a new pc I can start working in earnest with this application. I want to use this with Sega Model 2 emulator. Add shaders and add bezel, both of which are possible going by the instructions on page 1. So should I extract the entire 'ArcCabView_ReShade_Launcher_generic_2.6' file into my folder where my Sega Model 2 exe is located? And later on, if I want to use arccabview for yet another emulator, let's say sega model 3, I should repeat that exact step and extract 'ArcCabView_ReShade_Launcher_generic_2.6' into the folder where my model 3 exe is located? Thank you -
[Arcade PC] Time Crisis 5 (Namco System ES3)

hello when I map my pedals to buttons on my light gun, my character stays in cover all the time. when I click the pedal button, he seems to come out of hiding for a nanosecond, but then immediately goes back into hiding. Holding the pedal button on my gun doesn't solve that. Do I need additional software to map the TC5 controls? Thanks -
[Arcade PC] Star Wars: Battle Pods (Namco System ES3)

Hello Just tried to play this game. I got the basics set up, and the game starts because I can hear the music, but the gameplay window actually doesn't go full screen. In fact, I don't see the gameplay screen at all. Only when I scroll through all my open windows do I see there is a star wars battle pod window open (but I guess kind of minimized), but here another crazy thing. The screen seems cut in half, like the top half is completely black. My monitor's native resolution is 3840 x 2160. I've seen some videos saying to set your resolution to 1920 x 1080, but I tried that and no change. I've seen another video saying to automatically hide the taskbar but that also didn't help. Is there a patch or something I need to install? Thank you. -
Hello, how can I enable 4K resolution and full screen for H2 Overdrive? Thank you.

Hi guys, I'm able to run this game at 4K so that is pretty cool. But I got some general questions: - Is there any way to skip or bypass the diagnostic at the start? It's quite long (a few minutes) - The game looks to run exceptionally well with a general lack of glitches but one very obvious glitch is the icon box doesn't doesn't show the item you picked up during the race, so that box is empty though some glitches seem to be happening in there. If it's any help, during the diagnostic, I can see I'm using MKDX English mod V 0.6 and on the bottom it says MK3 Rev.1.10.22 / JP. Also, the file I downloaded was 1.3 gig. So maybe there's another file out there I need to grab instead. EDIT: Ok in the game folder there was a patcher file which I was able to run succesfully, looks like a lot of items were patched judging by the patcher log. Will take a look. EDIT 2: Ok I did a test with other resolution. So initially I had checked 'custom resolutions' and I chose 3840 x 2160. This is when I had the glitches described above and also in the character select screen, when I hovered over a character, the box was empty. So now, I unchecked 'custom resolutions' and left the width and length fields empty. So no value input there. And those glitches are gone. So is there a way to play at 3840 x 2160 and not have the glitches? Merci! Thanks!

Me again. All good now. I downloaded something called intel fix file. Now no more issues. Thanks! By the way, anyone by any chance have this marquee or something very similar in high res available?
-
Ow that is pretty crushing to hear, especially because it runs brilliantly at 4K res. Anyway, I downloaded the shaderfix you provided and extracted the 5 files to what I assume is the right folder. There were 5 other files in there so when prompted if I wanted to overwrite them, I clicked 'yes'. But the problem of the black surfaces hasn't been solved. 😟 Could you please tell me the exact folder where I have to extract them to? I ask this because there are 2 directories with 'jennifer' and 'fs'. I think a few days ago I came across shader fix files that were specifically for a particular resolution so the file was called Shaderfix_2160p or something like that. Maybe that's what I need. Thanks

RTX 3080, so I will download this and apply. Thanks again, really appreciate the support.

Hi dude, thanks for the info. Confirm this has the right music so that is awesome. The missing textures still an issue though. For example, the road asphalt is just an entirely black patch of color after a while. What is the texture solution though? Is it the Nvidia shaderfix? Or intel fix? What is the file called? Since you say that the patches got integrated, could it be I must modify some of my teknoparrot settings to solve this issue? Thank you!

Hello Joe and Petje, I was able to get to 4K resolution without even using the resolution patcher. Which is very odd I guess. So my question, what does the resolution patcher do when in fact inside the Teknoparrot menu you can already select your preferred resolution? I set it to 3840 x 2160 and my entire screen is filled, and the graphics look sharp and 4k, except for speed dials and assorted logos and visuals in the game which remain low-res. I guess that is normal. So why would I need to even use the resolution patcher? next, all version of Outrun 2 now seem to have the alternate rock and rap music, but is there a way to select original music? Or do I just need to download a specific version of the game? Finally, I do have textures missing so there are black patches left and right while playing. When I have the texture pack downloaded, do I simply extract the new files to the correct folder and overwrite the existing ones? And which folder must it be? Jennifer folder? Thanks a lot!

Hello retro gamers. I have a 4K monitor (Can do more than 60 hz), windows 11 and Nvidia GPU. So with that out of the way, today I installed Teknoparrot (I guess latest version from the site) and I downloaded the game Outrun 2. The executable is in the jennifer folder, so I'm familiar with all these details and when I select the standard, already available Jennifer exe the game indeed starts, so it works, but obviously not in 4k resolution. Well then, I downloaded the file 'OR2SPDLXResolutionPatcher.rar' and extracted it into the Jennifer folder. I clicked the file and selected my 4k resolution 3840 x 2160 and the operation is succesful because I receive a message saying something like 'file jennifer_patched created'. Great, so I go to my TP UI and under game settings point it to the new 'jennifer_patched' exe and save it. Then I launch the game and I got the black CMD screen, everything seems to go well, then briefly a black screen, so far so good, when suddenly I'm thrown right back to my desktop and looking at the Teknoparrot UI. Basically, Outrun 2 failed to launch. Any idea what I'm missing here. The game did start with the standard Jennifer file so rom didn't seem to be bad. Thanks!!

I will grab the new version tomorrow and try the modifications but my notebook is really old (2009) but Thanks anyway, looks like a great app. Ah yes, so can I add a bezel or does ArcCabView only come with standard bezels ? -

I played around with this and sega model 2 emulator. Two things: * It needs a pretty beefy PC. Once I have crt and such activated, my framerate drops. My notebook is definitely old but I guess I hoped for a miracle. IS there a way to activate CRT without it being a hit on the performance? A new PC is coming later this year anyway. * How can I add a custom bezel? I did not see this in the front end. thanks -

Thanks Houb. Just one thing. When I download the generic rar file, I should extract entire contents to the folder where my model 2 emulator app is ? What if I want to use ArcCabView later with another emulator, say supermodel for sega model 3, do I then extract the entire rar file again to the folder where my supermodel app is ? Gonna experiment tomorrow. Merci -

Hello people. Just looking for some quick tips to get me started. I want to be able to play model 2 emulation by incorporating both bezels and also applying shaders. Is ArcCabView the program which will allow me to do that? Is ArcCabView a totally new tool or is it basically a version of Reshade? Would I still need Reschade or is ArcCabView all that I need? Also, when I click download folder there are 8 different rar files. Which one do I grab? The one with generic in the name? I'm using Launchbox as a front end. Thank you, I will try to get started using the instructions on the first page.
