Yes use free program joytokey it lets you make the joystick controls act like the keyboard buttons its free and simple to use

Hey singe users ive found if you are having problems using joypad with singe (mine doesnt seem to recognize mine) there is a FREE to use program that works well to solve this its called joy to key , it lets you make directions on joypad or mouse be keyboard letters or numbers ie if A keyboard button was for LEFT on the game , you can make LEFT on your joypad=A button on keyboard and so on i hope this helps a few that have the same problem
