So disregard my last post I found a solution. I'm making a new post for the sake of others potentially googling why Shell.exe won't launch despite having the neccessary dk2win32 driver. The Shell.exe is sniffing around for an audio output, in my experience, on the rear panel audio of your PC. When it fails to detect any output it'll close immediately. So if like me you typically use front panel audio or use HDMI audio, you're gonna need to plug something into the rear panel audio and set that to your default device. Hope this helps people if it was clear enough
