  1. Me? Nope not a game developer - I just adapt 🪛 I leave that to the big boys. But you are
  2. Hey @Karis, good to see you around again. So, Karis is busy, but we have all these new developers eager to create games. So who is going to volunteer to tackle Brain Dead 13 ? All the video has been AI cleaned up and ready to grab from here: Who is willing to take up the challenge ? Create something many people are waiting for?
  3. New port: "Adventures in Videoland: Rollercoaster" for Hypseus in the game repo. Thanks to ScottD for resurrecting this classic. https://drive.filen.io/d/89c41616-b7e7-4dac-a055-710da9196ac5#JNMXLNmR2tqvmyiVfW4ycar1ul2hck85 Alternate folder format version.
  4. Software Scoreboard working on M1 ARM MacOSX
  5. Oeil pour Oeil / Scrat Hypseus port of "Oeil pour Oeil" (by Bladescater) available via the usual channels or below. https://dl.orangedox.com/nEF6dArs5ptQRZklTC Short, super-fast paced and a real challenge. Create a bat file: hypseus.exe singe vldp -framefile singe\oeil\oeil.txt -script singe\oeil\oeil.singe -sound_buffer 2048 -volume_nonvldp 5 -volume_vldp 20 -fullscreen Also Bladescaters "Scrat" (bugfixed and using Bluray video source) is available here: https://dl.orangedox.com/MR3XD2EiFG4DuG2E7A hypseus.exe singe vldp -framefile singe\scrat\scrat.txt -script singe\scrat\scrat.singe -sound_buffer 2048 -volume_nonvldp 5 -volume_vldp 20 -fullscreen
  6. There is a new joystick configuration utility for Hypseus 'hypinput.ini' https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypjsch https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypjsch/releases/latest Add the .exe it to the Hypseus folder. Run it (with your joysticks connected) and it gives you the calculated axis/button arguments to add to the config file across multiple detected joysticks. No more +1's...... Note: There was a bug in an early version which would make the utility crash if the reported Joystick name was excessively long. Ensure you grab the latest version for the fix.
  7. 4K Brain Dead 13: Coming as Soon as someone writes the game: Seems all the video content (01:29:34) is there for any game devs that would like to tackle.
  8. And as ever, we have a Hypseus port in the usual places: https://mega.nz/file/B9lVETYK#lCw-Rn5g45PKXFLB1X6XiJXf9ImltbIbrh2kKrhz3Ug Requires Hypseus Singe v2.8.2a: https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus-singe/releases/latest Massive thanks to @supadave for this rather fantastic game - excellent work sir.
  9. ActionMax works by reading the YUV value of a specific pixel at the centre of the mouse cursor, converting it to RGB values and checking they match with a predefined set of values in the LUA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YUV If you are going to process this video you will need to ensure that the color, brightness or luminance are matched to source during any processing.... Gonna be tricky.
  10. On the ActionMax topic: Hypseus v0.5 (actionmax), a companion emulator on the Raspberry Pi with Sinden support: Works nicely in an Arcade1UP cab - with no sensor bars on the Sinden.....
  11. I can't speak for Singe 2, but for Hypseus check here:
  12. As a few people have recently asked about ActionMax games, I will post here regarding the Hypseus setup. The original directory layout of ActionMax, being one of (if not the) first Singe game, was a little different to the others... For the Libretro structure setup, used on RetroPie and others, the directory structure was simplified. Within the `singe` subfolder, `singe\actionmax` folder looks like this: Then Hypseus can be run simply with this argument (e.g. 38ambushalley) : hypseus.exe singe vldp -framefile singe\actionmax\38ambushalley.txt -script singe\actionmax\38ambushalley.singe -fullscreen -manymouse This singe file structure is on the Hypseus repos in GitHub (for which you will just need to copy the your existing video/audio over). There are also .bat files for ActionMax in the zip with the Hypseus Windows package on the main repo.
  13. There is no video I'm afraid. If there were, it would show: Unzip `Hypseus.Singe-v2.8.x-win64.zip` and `windows-batch-files-v2.8.x.zip` Obtain and put game data in the sub folders Run, perhaps edit, the .bat file Enjoy game Or install via RetroPie-Setup if Linux is your thing, that's all done for you.
  14. Torrents get outdated quickly and there is no easy means to update content. They are not a reliable means to distribute dynamic content. The torrent @DarkVoid666 listed above is fine for Daphne content, which is static, but Singe games are updated all the time. You need look for up-to-date content from the developers source. Usually on the first post of these threads, application repositories or elsewhere.
  15. Sinden Light Gun users will understand The adding of the external (white) border, via bezels, is problematic in this emulator. Apparently there is an upcoming version which will provide built-in support for the borders required for easy Sinden gun operation.
  16. For any Sinden Lightgun users out there, coming soon:
  17. Excellent news, another item from the "TODO" gone. I assume you needed to use `-novsync` on v2.8 ? Or the patched binary with VSYNC removed ? Or was that not the issue in the end?
  18. I have updated the link on the first post in this thread. I believe the Singe data is waaay out-of-date in that torrent, so ensure you grab the latest from: https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus_singe_data If I recall, most of the content in the torrent is from this forum... does anyone know what happened to maabus's mega thread... ? There isn't a GUI - it was written with running within Retro distribution frontends - Would be nice if some developer wrote a little GUI, but the complexity of settings in Daphne alone make it none trivial - Matt never released the source for Daphne Loader..... So you need to edit settings in the .bat files for Daphne, or via the Service Menu '9' for Singe games. Nope, that's not correct, although it is only a directory, I'll try and get that corrected. These should be corrected now.
  19. Only lair2 has the 'Service Mode': http://www.daphne-emu.com/site3/faq_entry.php?id=58 For lair and ace, you will need to specify dip-switch settings via the -bank arguments (dependant on the ROM version you are running): http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/pages/dl.asp http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/pages/sa.asp http://www.daphne-emu.com/mediawiki/index.php/CmdLine See some examples at the top of this page ^ Not in-game in Daphne games, no. You could load the .m2v and .ogg into something like VLC: https://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_HowTo/Play_an_external_audio_track_for_a_video/ Remove the '-fullscreen' argument from the .bat file.......
  20. @dex77 - Can you tell me what program and frame you were looking at the HVG cobra video in for this screenshot? Running the same video in Hypseus, I see this: A world of difference in quality. Are you just at an earlier frame on the zoom in, is that just a really bad frame you found ?
  21. You may have to downscale the resolution a little for the Pi. It may struggle at full 1080p.
  22. Special Edition TitanAE (Including the missing "Flight Scene"): https://mega.nz/file/Bs8SRSIR#tPlhGBTyLNbHInU22iQ6te1HEjUOqdT1Var6QrtzhoY Requires Hypseus Singe v2.8.0: https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus-singe/releases/tag/v2.8.0
  23. And here it comes: Special Edition TitanAE (Including the missing "Flight Scene"): https://mega.nz/file/Bs8SRSIR#tPlhGBTyLNbHInU22iQ6te1HEjUOqdT1Var6QrtzhoY Requires Hypseus Singe v2.8.0: https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus-singe/releases/tag/v2.8.0
  24. Absolutely, I need to re-add that level. One of the first obstacles of porting from Singe 2 as I recall. I hadn't forgotten, but wanted to get the upgraded engine and these new games sorted first. As ever thanks for the games that run on these engines Karis...
