Not sure and the result will be poor. Don't do this. Have you tried the normal version but with the overlay set to Lo Res ? It's really better for weaker CPUs (and it's true that Singe 2 is not totally optimized, if there are some experts around here Scott would be happy). Otherwise i still could create a 480p in 16/9 (or even 1024×576). It would be better than a stretched one.

Ok, Sucker Punch is up! I wish you good luck, don't hesitate to use Percent mode to master it. One more (little) surprise coming next week and then some holidays

If you're on windows, order of controllers is managed in a total mess (an issue Microsoft never adressed). Personnally i use a special program to keep the "good" order cause i've got guns too on the arcade. You cannot play games like Astron Belt 2 (or games needing a rom) in Singe 2 unless someone convert them (for example i did it for Cliff). Singe 2 is not a strict emulator. It does'nt use roms but a LUA program which "behave" like a rom.

You can change the controllers in the controls.cfg file in each game. That said on my arcade i use JoyToKey, cause my sticks are not xinput. Depending on you system (Pi maybe on a bartop?), this might be different.

Of course it's doable, but by removing 33% of the image. As i said, no one on earth can do anything about this, apart redrawing the missing elements on the side one by one.

Nice idea, but, you know, you can do it. It's really not too complicated to create you own game with the help of the tutorial. And it's fun.

Yeah, that's definitely doable, and i've got the sources i made for Singe in Hires (from the Blu Rays). But it'll take time, especially for Space Ace with all the different path per level (though i created the path action especially for SA, even if we used it for Hayate also). Also, i think Digital Leisure is a little itchy about these conversions (little is an understatement).

To be honest i'm not a master of conversion. But i convert from a good source, which is important i think. Then in Premiere (or Media encoder) i set it to 2 pass encoding and click the hi-resolution encoding.

Just wait for tomorrow. Sucker Punch is my biggest release, and probaby the most difficult Laserdisc on earth (but we don't have to pay quarters to replay). The most satisfying also when you master it.

Hello guys. Today's novelty is the release of a HD port i made for Asterix, a game released by Nado 74 for Singe 1. The game is funny and not too difficult, it includes all the improvements i made the past days. It's in english instead of italian (actually i didn't have an italian source). As usual, 480p is available and 4/3 croped too. Stay tuned on monday for the big release: Sucker Punch!

For informations al the games are now up to date. That means Dl2e and Cliff now have the dynamic resolution. The other games have the same upgrades than Mononoke. Almost forgot to mention it but for those allergic to black bars i did a crop of titan AE too. It's in the 16/9 directory Not my preferred version, but still playable.

Yeah i've been fooled too "Action" is just to tell you to perform an action,and NOT to push the action button. Action button is when you see a physical button.

So, here is the Update. Hope you'll enjoy this new gaming mode, it's really fun. UPDATE So, big update with 3 new features: 1) New gaming mode: Percent: You can access this new mode from the option menu (Gametype). With this mode you play through a whole level (chosen in option menu), but you won't die if you fail a move. The level will continue to the end. At the end, the program will calculate you percentage of success and possibly you will have a Highscore (those Hiscore per level are of course separated from the general Hiscore). This new gaming mode is both a fun way to play (especially for non specialist) and a very good trainer for the most difficult levels. I hope you'll enjoy it. 2) Dynamic Overlay Resolution: From the option menu, you can now change the resolution of the overlay Hi/Lo res. The overlay in Hi res might be difficult for some CPU (for example core i5), so i developped this solution to lower the charge a bit.apparently it gives good results, so don't hesitate to switch if you experience slowdown. 3) New graphics I upgraded the graphics a bit for the actions. So, instead of "Action", you've got a button, instead of "Mash" an animated button, and so on. This change is not only cosmetic. By testing it i, noticed it helped a lot to react faster (at least for non english natives) and also avoid confusions (for example between MASH and HOLD, since they both have a gauge. I updated the three versions of the movie (Normal, 4/3, 480p) to reflect this change. Of course, most of the other games share the same code so i plan to update all of them with those changes at some point. Ok, that's it. Have fun with the game. I will be glad to answer any question. I was mentionning Monoke and Sucker Punch. Mononoke is released and Sucker Punch next week. But there will be a big update for Mononoke today with a new game mode (it will be extended to all games soon) and several features. Also i've ported a fan game and plan to release it this week.
