@poiu Could you please tell us what are the differences between your Platoon version and famawizard's?

I understand that, but what I mean is make the installer use "%GAMEFOLDER%\Game Loader All RH" instead of "%USERDATA%\Game Loader All RH" this way there is absolutely no issue between using different loader versions for each game because the install files will all be kept inside the game folder and will always match the installer version. If you update the loader for that particular game you will of course need to re-run the installer. File size is irrelevant, I mean it's only a few MBs so who cares, I think portability would be way more important than saving a few MBs per game.

Why don't you extract the install files to the game folder instead? This way there would be no problems with running multiple versions of your loader as the install would be portable. The problem comes because the installer files are extracted to the %APPDATA% folder and thus they are shared between all Game Loader installs, a portable solution would work better imo.

@djexpert too bad, but I can keep different versions if I always run the respective Installer.exe before running the game right? This is problematic for frontends, so would it be possible to add a setting to disable the confirmation dialog you get after running the installer? (The one stating "We installed the files necessary for running "Game Loader"), this way always running the installer before the game could be easily automated.

@djexpert Not sure what changed, but with RH 295 I don't get errors anymore so all seems to be working now! The only problem is that it seems different versions are now incompatible, for example now if I try to run a game that I have setup with 280 it will tell me files are not installed, this means we have to update the loader on each game folder for every single game every time we update now? I can't have one game running with 280 and others with 295? Does anybody has issues playing Gundam Spirits of Zeon? Game ends up crashing right before gameplay starts most of the time. The only loader mode I could get it to run was 6, but still crashes like 4 out of 5 times.

@djexpert Only have one PC to test at the moment :( but all was working fine before, but after running 294 now I realize that I have the exact same problem with previous versions that were working before, but only those that have the Installer exe. For example I tested with 280 and get the error, then if I run the 280 Installer.exe, 280 will work just fine. If I run the 294 Installer.exe then I can no longer run 280 anymore... so whatever the 294 Installer.exe is doing is affecting loading of other versions too. Much earlier versions (the ones without the Installer.exe) work just fine I guess because they don't do any checks. I didn't have 293 setup before so can't tell if the error already existed on that version, if there is still a downloading link for it available I can try it and let you know. Should I have 65 files in "C: \ Users \ USERNAME \ AppData \ Roaming \ Game Loader All RH"?! Because I only have 2 (TTX.ini and Language.ini)... Already tried disabling anti virus and still same issue, I have an exception for my games folder anyway. Maybe you could add a log during the check for missing files which would output exactly what file is missing that is triggering the error? That would be a big help.

I've been using this launcher since like 2 or 3 years now so it's not like I just started using it so I'm aware of how to get it to run. But I delete the whole content of the AppData RH folder (the one with the TTX.ini and language.ini), then run installer, then run the config.exe and the error pops up, if I run the installer a couple more times then the config tool does start, after I close it if I try to run it again get the error again and need to run the installer 2 or 3 more times until it runs. The weird part is the config tool running eventually and I see no file changes at all in the game's folder nor the AppData one. EDIT: After some more testing I find out that it only works if I run the config.exe right after running the installer.exe, if I run the installer and then wait more than 4 or 5 seconds to run the config.exe it will error out... if I run the installer and immediately after run the config.exe (or the actual loader) it will work. Pretty strange that's for sure.

I already did a fresh install same error, just told you that... Something must be wrong with this version, never got any issues before until this one. Also can't understand why it only gives me that error sometimes, when it doesn't error out games run just fine, hopefully the dev will chime in and help out if I can find what files are supposed to be there I might be able to troubleshoot it.

That doesn't help I keep getting the exact same error, not much info is stored in TTX.ini anyway, I think the Installer copies files to the actual game folder not the user config one. Something definitely is wrong with the 294 version, but without knowing what files are checked to see if the Installer has been run or not I can't try to see what might be wrong here.

What files does Game Loader Installer.exe copy over? With 294 I keep getting the "The necessary files for running "Game Loader" are not installed. Please run Game Loader Installer.exe" error even after running the installer tool. After I run it 3 or 4 times then I can start the game or the config tool, but after exiting if I try running again I get the same error and need to run the installer 3 or 4 times again until it works and the process keeps repeating so something isn't right. Want to know what files are being copied so I can try to see what's going on. Never had this problem with older versions, only had to run the installer once after the error and all was good after that.

I figured it could be something like that, I think that only brings more confusion than benefits But as long as it's just some fake name it's all good, thanks for confirming.

What's up with the VIRUS WARNING DO NOT DOWNLOAD message in the filename? I stopped downloading this loader when the files started to get renamed like that because it was suspicious, anyone knows the reason for this?
